Gabrielle POV
Seeing Nathan drift off to sleep with a blissful look on his face, I couldn't believe how much chemistry we had with him. I brushed his hair away from his face so it wouldn't irritate his eyes as it fell forward. His hair felt so soft—like it hadn't been styled with expensive products, just naturally perfect. His sleeping expression was so peaceful, a sharp contrast to the usual look of concern or surprise he wore while awake.
Careful not to disturb him, I got up and went to the bathroom. I grabbed two towels, dampened them slightly with warm water, and brought them back to the bed. I passed one to Elliot, who began gently cleaning Nathan's legs while I focused on his chest and the bed as best I could.
Elliot whispered, "Is there any cream for him? I think I gave him a bit of a friction burn."
Looking down, I could see the red marks beginning to form on Nathan's legs. I nodded, fetched some cream from the bedroom drawer, and handed it over. Then I bent down to collect the underwear from the floor. Pulling mine back on, I tossed Elliot his, and together we gently eased Nathan into his. We both instinctively knew he'd be more comfortable waking up clothed—he'd blushed so hard clutching his shirt during the consult, after all.
Gesturing towards the couch, I dimmed the lights in the room so Nathan could get proper rest. I grabbed my phone and sat down as Elliot joined me. We exchanged a look.
Glancing at my phone, I saw the doctor's message confirming the result—Nathan did, in fact, have the ability. I quickly showed Elliot, and he nodded silently.
Keeping my voice low so as not to wake Nathan, I murmured, "I don't know how this happened, but we're incredibly lucky to have found someone like him. He's perfect for us—he helps us reach our peak, and he's just our type too."
Elliot's eyes took on a possessive glint as he gazed at Nathan's sleeping form. "You're right. We can't let anyone else have him. I know it's not normal, but I think… I think he might be our paired match. I've never heard of a triple pairing, but after feeling that—I can't imagine being without him again. I never realised what it actually felt like until now."
I nodded. "You're right. But we have to be careful. He's physically just an ordinary person. If we go public, someone might see him as our weak point… and target him."
Elliot's eyes almost glowed at the thought. I quickly waved a hand in front of his face. "Don't wake him up, Elliot—he looks exhausted."
His power levels settled, and I sighed. For all that Elliot was a big teddy bear, he still had enough power to level a country if pushed.
I continued, "We've got a bigger challenge though. We need to win him over. He doesn't feel the same pull we do—not yet. We need him to choose to stay with us, to want to be with us. So… we need to start wooing him. Slowly, carefully. We can't spook him."
Elliot looked shocked. "But we've never really dated, have we? Everyone we've had has either wanted power or money. How are we supposed to do this?"
"I don't know," I admitted. "We'll have to look it up. On the TV, they go to cafes, the cinema… maybe travel to cute couple spots? I watched one episode before I got bored, but I think we'll need to research. I'll ask Adam to buy some books."
Elliot perked up. "How about one of our other houses? We could go to the Mediterranean?"
I rolled my eyes. "We can't overwhelm him! That comes after we've paired. Everyone knows that."
He made an 'oh' face, and we both silently agreed on the direction we needed to take. I quickly sent a message to Adam—requesting the books, letting him know Nathan would be moving in with us, and asking him to organise everything.
With that done, we returned to the bed and quietly slid under the sheets, curling back up around Nathan.
Nathan POV
Waking slowly, I opened my eyes to find Gabrielle's face just in front of mine. The memory of what we'd done hit me all at once, and I almost jolted upright. But the room was dim, my body felt light and relaxed, and the urge passed.
I noticed I was clean and dressed in my undies. Elliot had an arm around my waist, snuggled in behind me. The same warm sensation was there—just a faint trace of what it had been earlier.
I'd never woken up like this before, wrapped in someone else's arms, with another's face so close. It was… actually really nice.
Gabrielle looked even more handsome up close. His lips were full, his eyelashes long and delicate as he slept peacefully.
Needing the bathroom, I tried to lift Elliot's arm gently. But as I moved, they both shifted and stretched, beginning to wake.
Gabrielle opened his eyes and smiled at me. "Did you have a good sleep?" he asked, stretching his arms over his head, giving me a full view of his chest. I couldn't help but stare.
Elliot shifted behind me and pressed a soft kiss to my back, making me blush instantly. With a sleepy voice near my ear, he murmured, "How are you feeling?"
"I can't believe I just fell asleep like that," I admitted, nodding. "I hope the doctor's not waiting on me? How long was I out?"
Gabrielle smiled and reached for my hand, giving it a light squeeze. "No need to worry. You were out for about three hours. The doctor wasn't waiting. And… we got the results."
I looked at him, curious.
He continued, "You have the conducting and storage ability. We're keeping it strictly confidential—only a few of our private staff know. But yes, you're confirmed."
"Oh," I said, nodding slowly. "Is there anything else I need to do for the tests?"
Gabrielle shook his head. "Not unless you want to match with other espers or guides. Since you're avoiding that, there's nothing more."
I nodded again, still a bit dazed. "So… what do we do next? I'm not really sure anymore, to be honest."
Elliot piped up, "Why don't we take you to our place? We've already started transferring your things—it should all be there in a few hours. We'll show you around though in the meantime."
Curious to see where they lived—especially since they'd mentioned it was on the outskirts of the Association—I agreed.
