[Volume 1: Players! Fight!]
…
[Location: Mirag Town, Auralian Empire!]
…
Monday morning came as the two suns lit up the bright blue sky. The birds chirped, while the flowers bloomed, creating a merry atmosphere that had a mix of nature and magic in it.
"Skwer Meat for 10 Coppers! Skwer Meat for 10 Coppers!"
"Garland of Willflower! Garland of Willflower! Two free on buying three pieces!"
"Mom! I want to eat that fruit!"
"Did you hear what happened in Coast City?"
"Yeah, it seems like Sir Adam is up to something again."
"I heard the witches are up to something again. Also, there were rumours of war between the fire nation and the wind."
"Feels like something big is coming up."
Just as usual, people got busy with their usual activities of the day. Each of them is busy with their own work, not minding much about the events of the world, but still curious enough to talk about it in their daily life.
The cold wind blew bringing the smell of desert mixed with traces of moisture and mud in them. It was a usual signal for heavy rain that usually came from the wasteland's side once every while.
"It's gonna rain again, huh?" One of the vendors talked as he smelled through the wind, before looking in the direction of the wasteland. And with a sigh, he shook his head before speaking," seems like today won't be much good for business."
"Don't say that Mr, today is really important for my benefactor," a child, about 16 yours in age, spoke out in a worried manner. His eyes seemed to be dulled hearing that Man's words.
"Don't worry kid, if not today then tomorrow. It's not like it's the end of the world, you know?" That man laughed out loud before going back into his stall, leaving the kid on his own here.
As for the kid, he looked at the name of the shop with a slightly worried expression.
[Falcon's Weapon Shop and Training Arena!]
Even though he, along with many others, had told the owner that there are a limited number of people that can wield weapons, and an even more limited number of those who want to train, his benefactor still was adamant on buying the biggest weapon shop in the area.
As if that wasn't enough, he even used special artifacts to create training areas within the shops for people to train and hone their skills.
"If only it were in a big city…" the kid mumbled before he shook his head in dejection. He had no idea what was going on in the head of his benefactor, but it's the least he could do for him in exchange for getting his life saved by the monsters.
Moving inside the shop, the kid began cleaning as usual. The weapons were all of good quality but there was nothing special about them, except for their numbers. There were at least 1000s of swords, bows, knives, spears, etc. each of them exactly identical to each other.
Though since they were all stored in a storage artifact each, the store was rather clean in appearance.
A few hours passed as the kid kept cleaning the floors and the shelves, neatly arranging everything once again. And as he was finishing everything, preparing for the first day of the shop, through the window he saw the silhouette of a man standing outside the shop.
A red haired man, looking at the sky as the raindrops dizzled on his face. He looked a bit sad, as if he were looking at a distant memory.
And then, a smile formed on his face, as he enjoyed that drizzle for a bit more before looking inside the shop, at the kid who was tasked with its maintenance for now.
"Sir Falcon!" The kid spoke as he saw the red haired guy, Falcon, entering the shop. Falcon patted the head of the kid before speaking,
"How is the work going, Linc? Everything is alright?"
"Everything is as you asked me to do sir. But… is it really going to work? I… don't really have hope for this."(Linc)
"It's all right. Just believe in me. This is going to be the most prosperous business you might have ever done. And if you work hard enough, I might even let you handle this city's branch all by yourself."(Falcon)
Falcon slapped Linc's shoulder with a laugh, making him stumble a little before he slowly rubbed it. A grimace formed on his face, which he withheld before looking at Falcon again. And then a sigh escaped his mouth before he spoke the next issue at hand,
"What about the rain? Forget about the others, even those who want to come will try to avoid the rain, you know?"
"Don't worry about it. When the time comes, we can just punch it all away," Falcon spoke with a smile, as he made a punch in the air. Linc was confused for a moment, before he shook his head and began to finish the last bit of his work today.
It's been a week since he was saved from the monsters by Falcon. And in return for payment, he decided to help Falcon out with his shop for the first two weeks. Once this contract is over, he will soon move on in his journey towards the main Auralian Empire, and from there to the Kingdom of Fire, where his main family stays.
Falcon, too, began arranging things, taking it out from his dimensional storage and then placing it in the shop's storage. The newer weapons were a tad bit better than the normal ones, though even then, they were something that could be easily obtained in the main city, even in the smallest of the shops.
"All right, that finished today's work," Linc wiped his sweat as he looked at the clean shop. A smile formed on his face, as he looked at the product of his hard work. He then looked at Falcon, observing the watch on his hand, and then turning to Linc he spoke,
"It's about time. Let's go."
Even though Linc was confused, he decided to follow Falcon, who simply walked through the rain, towards the central area of the city. His eyes looked at the statue of [Adam Wesker], at the center there before a smile formed on his face.
"All right. Let's settle this first," Falcon spoke, taking a step back, before stretching his legs, preparing for a jump.
"Sir Falc-"(Linc)
-BOOOM!!!!
And before Linc could speak anything, Falcon was already in the air, reaching the clouds, and then reaching above them.
[One Way Out!]
[Strength Maxed!]
Using the skill which he gained at the very beginning of his journey, Falcon… or to be more accurate, Adam Wesker, stretched out his hand and arms. And then…
-BOOOOM!!!
Punching the very air, pushing all those clouds away with the shockwave, clearing the sky with a single stroke.
And then, as he fell down, he looked at the land coming closer to him. It was slow at first, but then the speed increased. But it was still fine, as he smiled as he used another one of his skills that he learned during his journey.
[Light as a feather!]
Activating it right before reaching the ground, he slowly floated down the last 10 meters or so, before reaching the ground. The sunshine blessed his bright smile as he looked at the shocked expression of Linc.
"See, I told you, right? We can just punch it all the way," he spoke as he looked at Linc.
"Wait a s-" Linc wanted to say something, but Falcon stopped him.
"Not now. It's about time. They are coming," Falcon spoke as he looked at the time. Linc was confused for a brief moment, before he saw people appearing in the city center out of thin air. A smile formed on Falcon's face as he looked at them.
[The Players] have finally appeared.
