Chapter 63 - CHAPTER 63: King’s Judgment

Chapter 63: King's Judgment

"Look, the wind is blowing…"

A gust swept through the desolate ruins on both sides.

Qin Chuan spoke lightly, his voice drifting on the breeze.

But in that moment, Salas's expression changed dramatically. His face, once composed, now reflected solemnity—and fear.

In Salas's pupils, Qin Chuan had transformed. He was no longer a man.

He had become a giant.

An overwhelming figure, towering like a god—hands supporting the sky, feet rooted deep in the earth. A being of unimaginable power.

The wind howled in Salas's ears, no longer a gentle breeze, but a piercing blade that cut through his thoughts. His instincts screamed for him to flee, but as he turned to run, something was wrong.

His body wouldn't move.

No—his body was gone.

His head remained, suspended in the moment before pain arrived.

A flash of cold wind surged past. A thin, sharp line split the air.

"Bang Bang—"

His headless corpse collapsed onto the stone path, accompanied by the dull thud of his head hitting the ground.

This… this was the Human King.

Among humanity, Qin Chuan stood above all. If the enemy was weaker than him, then their life—and death—were his to control.

This was the terrifying dominance of the Human King.

A natural suppression akin to the beast kings of soul beasts, whose noble bloodlines could quell lesser creatures without effort.

"I told you," Qin Chuan said softly, stepping over the fallen corpse, "you shouldn't have come here."

As he lifted his gaze, he noticed two more figures stepping out of the imperial city gates.

Prince Xuexing. The Fourth Prince, Xue Beng.

The six eyes met across the empty square.

Prince Xuexing's eyes widened in shock when he spotted Salas's mutilated corpse lying nearby.

"Let's go."

Without hesitation, he grabbed Xue Beng's arm and turned to flee.

But what had they seen?

The Platinum Bishop of the Spirit Hall—dead in the streets!

Before they could retreat far, a blur of wind and lightning raced past them.

Qin Chuan stood before them again, blocking their path.

"Where are you going?" His voice was calm, cold.

Prince Xuexing grit his teeth. "Who are you? I am Prince Xuexing of the Heaven Dou Empire. What do you intend to do?"

Xue Beng, already pale, looked ready to collapse.

"Where exactly do you two think you're going?" Qin Chuan turned his head slowly, his lips curling into a mocking smile.

"Your Majesty… we didn't see anything. We suddenly remembered some official duties—so we were just returning to the city," Prince Xuexing said with a forced laugh, trying to mask the fear in his heart.

He didn't recognize Qin Chuan, but to instantly kill a Platinum Bishop from the Spirit Hall?

Only a Titled Douluo—or worse—could do that.

"Heh…"

Qin Chuan chuckled.

"You're very clever."

That single line made both Prince Xuexing and Xue Beng tremble.

He knew who they were!

Prince Xuexing inhaled deeply, steadying his nerves. "What exactly do you want? I swear, we will never—"

His sentence was cut short.

His head separated cleanly from his neck, blood spraying violently.

The Fourth Prince collapsed in horror, scrambling backward on trembling arms, his face as white as snow.

"I know what you said inside," Qin Chuan said flatly, staring at Xue Beng. "So, I've been waiting for you."

"Who… who are you!?" Xue Beng stammered, fear reducing his voice to a whisper.

He couldn't control it.

He wet himself.

Qin Chuan only smiled.

"Bang—"

Xue Beng's body exploded into a cloud of blood mist, vanishing into the breeze.

"At a time like this, you're still fighting for power?"

Qin Chuan shook his head, disappointed.

Better to solve all the trouble at once.

After all, now that he had ascended to the level of a 100th-level priest, his mental power was vast—capable of covering all of Heaven Dou City.

Even while resting in the temporary prince's mansion, he had been aware of the schemes swirling around Qian Renxue.

He had felt the helplessness in her heart.

The bitterness. The loneliness.

So, Qin Chuan acted—his way.

He executed Salas, Prince Xuexing, and Xue Beng in the street, without hesitation.

After the carnage, he stood quietly until a member of the imperial guard came rushing out of the city gates.

"Y-Your Majesty Qin Chuan!"

The guard was clearly startled to see him.

Qin Chuan smiled lightly. "Take me in. Don't keep the new emperor waiting."

Qian Renxue was seated in the temporary royal meeting hall, her face calm but weary.

When Qin Chuan entered, she blinked in surprise.

"You came so quickly?" she asked.

"I've been waiting for your men outside the city this whole time," Qin Chuan replied with a light chuckle, seating himself.

Qian Renxue was taken aback. "Then… you must've seen the Spirit Hall envoy, Salas?"

"Mm," Qin Chuan nodded. "I killed him just outside."

"You wha—"

Qian Renxue's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Brother Qin Chuan… did you say… you killed Salas?"

"Yeah."

He shrugged nonchalantly. "And Prince Xuexing and Xue Beng too. Killed them on the way."

Qian Renxue was stunned. The blood drained from her face.

"You killed all of them?"

Qin Chuan looked into her eyes, unflinching.

"I saw everything that happened earlier. I won't let anyone wrong you."

"If someone dares to bully you… I will kill them."

His tone was calm, but carried an unstoppable force.

Qian Renxue's heart trembled at his words—but she still frowned.

"Brother Qin Chuan… this was too reckless."

Qin Chuan suddenly asked, "You're worried about sending Dai Mubai to Xingluo, aren't you?"

Qian Renxue sighed. "I don't want to admit it, but the truth is… Heaven Dou can't afford a war with Xingluo."

"Especially not now. The Spirit Hall is watching from the sidelines, waiting for an opportunity."

Before the upheaval in the capital, the empire still held a fragile balance. But now, with the central authority damaged…

Compromise seemed the only option.

"I'll go," Qin Chuan said suddenly.

"Ah? But… they're asking for me," Qian Renxue protested, her voice bitter.

As the crown prince—no, now the emperor—she was about to personally escort the captured imperial prince.

The humiliation was unbearable.

"Don't worry. They won't say a word," Qin Chuan said calmly, standing slowly from his seat.

"If they don't agree… then I'll simply slaughter the entire Xingluo royal family."

"Take them out in one go. That way, we can annex Xingluo while we're at it."

For a moment, Qian Renxue's eyes sparkled with excitement.

But soon, reality returned, and her gaze dimmed again.

"No… that's too dangerous."

She didn't know that Qin Chuan's strength had already reached the peak. As a 100th-level priest, he was practically unmatched across the continent.

"If I want to do something, no one in Xingluo can stop me."

This was his confidence—as the Human King.

Qian Renxue looked at him, knowing his mind was set. She could only sigh softly and say,

"When you get there… visit the Netherworld Zhu family first."

"They've already been embedded with our people."

Qin Chuan nodded, a calm glint in his eyes.

Everything was proceeding—just as it should.
