Chapter 21 - War and Destruction.
"We should unleash hell on earth, for what they have done." A demon said to another, his voice dripping with Hate and disgust.
"That's right, these pesky humans have killed Wetay. sure he was annoying, but he was also entertaining with his delusions of becoming one of us." Another demon said, his voice filled with anger and hatred.
"Then it has been decided, we will gather many races and launch one single attack with all our forces concentrated on them." A loud, stern and authoritive voice rang out, he sounded calm and collected.
All 1000 demons present at the meeting proceed to smirk maliciously, if they were there they would definitely be creeped out by the sight.
The next scene was even more terrifying, an entire army of demons, unknown creatures, wyverns, undead, and 2 true kings. They all stood before a giant gate.
In total, their numbers reached around 180 million enemies and only 2 of them being of rank below 1700.
Before Mathis, the unknown man, and Selvyn could rest--the gate appeared before them as it slowly opened.
The mere malice and pressure coming from it was enough to make the already ruined city trembles and fall apart even more, the blood red sky turning even more red.
[Quest - end the war.
Requirement: End the war (it does not matter how you do it.)
Difficulty: unable to calculate.
Time limit: 7 days.
Penalty for failure: destruction of earth.
Reward: special skill specifically made for its user. (Ungraded)]
Hoards upon hoards of atrocious looking creatures charged out of gate, the pressure growing so strong that even Selvyn's legs gave out.
As wyverns fly out the gate, the red clouds split as if making way for their immense aerial dominance.
"LETS MAKE HUMANITY EXTINCT!" The creatures yelled over and over like a broken radio.
The army charges forward, but so does the unknown man.. he does his usual move.
The unknown man steps towards the army, his long black coat moving with the wind--his expression as cold as the air around them.
[Mathis has activated 'skill: The ruler'!]
[The buff has been specifically been targeted to 'unknown', 'unknown' has been granted 8X stats!]
The unknown man walks straight into the hell hoard.
[Skill: [Hidden] has been activated at 70% power!]
Within the blink of an eye, blood splattered all over the place, heads of demons and wyverns alike flying off.
Once the blood in the air had settled there he stood, the man standing before the two high ranking demons.
"Wait, your the one who killed me when I was manifesting in my vessel." A woman spoke, she was around 178cm, had long black hair tied into a bun, and wore a black dress, Her expression filled with a mix of anger and hate.
"This time i won't hold back-- wait, Is that what I think it is?" Her expression going from hateful to curious, as she glances over towards Mathis.
Before any questions could be answered, she appeared next to Mathis and taking the red gem that was in his pocket so fast that Mathis could not react.
[Gem is being used!]
[Gem has been successfully used!]
The unknown man finally stops holding back, an aura radiating of unmeasurable power and darkness coming off him.
"She has now reached the power of the top 500, she is capable of scaling entire countries with just the snap of a finger if she managed to master the power of this Gem!" The unknown man yelled out, his indifference now replaced with worry and slight fear.
Yet.. the woman did nothing, and instead asked Mathis something.
"Can I join the party? i can be useful." She says calmly.
A notification pops up on Mathis's status window.
[Manifestation of humanity's hatred is requesting to join your party.]
[Accept or decline?]
"I accep-" Mathis was abruptly cut off by a hand going into his chest, he felt a pain in his heart.
As Mathis looked down, he saw the woman having her hand in his chest.. she was holding his heart, in one squeeze he would die.
"Am just kidding, I wouldn't join a bunch of weaklings." The woman says, her awfully sweet voice being tinged with sarcasm as her expression held a sadistic grin.
As Mathis tried to speak, blood came out instead as blood started pouring out of his mouth.
Mathis's expression turned into one of pain and fear.
Selvyn tries to slash the woman, but the woman does the same thing Selvyn had done during combat.. she grabbed Selvyn's dagger and shattered it into a thousand pieces.
[Day of execution lvl. 1 has been activated automatically.]
3 creatures covered in a long black coat appeared out of thin air, they held massive scythes, their eyes shining as red as the sky was.
As the woman tried to move, she found out the hard way that she was not allowed to move as chains come out the ground and wrap out her.
The three creatures mercilessly surround her and raise their scythes before striking down.
Seeing as the skill did not kill her due to her overwhelming power.. the unknown man decided to get involved.
[Skill: killing blow lvl. 1 activated, since the target's HP is below 20% it will be a 100% kill.]
The man steps fourth and swiftly beheads her, blood flying into the air as the red gem manifested before them again--waiting to be reclaimed by someone else.
[Manifestation of humanity's hatred (boosted by gem) has been vanquished.]
Neither of them cared bout the notification, both the unknown man and Selvyn rushed to Mathis.
"If he dies this time it's for good, that wretched woman has inserted some of the gem's power into his heart to temporarily de-activate all his skills." The unknown man says, for the first time his voice shaking abit and showing human emotion for real.
Selvyn drops to her knees and attempts to stop the bleeding with her hands to no avail.
[You have died.]
A single tear runs down the unknown man's face, as Selvyn starts sobbing.
