Chapter 28 - chapter 28. Observer

As Eira and Lyrien set out to find the Heart of the Ancients, they were unaware that their every move was being monitored by a mysterious figure on Cassius's side.

The figure, known only as "The Observer," had been tracking Eira and Lyrien's movements for some time, providing Cassius with valuable intel on their plans and progress.

"Them finding out about the Heart of the Ancients changes things," The Observer said in a hushed tone, speaking to Cassius through a secure comms device. "They're getting closer to the Crown's power. We need to adjust our plan accordingly."

Cassius's voice was cold and calculating. "Keep a close eye on them," he said. "I want to know the moment they make a move towards the Heart of the Ancients. We'll be ready for them."

The Observer nodded, even though Cassius couldn't see her. "I'll keep monitoring them," she said. "But we need to be careful. Eira and Lyrien are not to be underestimated. They're resourceful and determined."

Cassius's voice was unyielding. "We'll take care of them," he said. "Just keep me informed."

The Observer nodded, her eyes fixed on Eira and Lyrien's location. She would continue to monitor them, providing Cassius with the information he needed to stay one step ahead.

Meanwhile, Eira and Lyrien were making their way through the treacherous terrain, navigating ancient ruins and avoiding deadly traps. They were getting close to the Heart of the Ancients, and they could feel the weight of their mission bearing down on them.

"We're almost there," Lyrien said, his voice low and urgent. "Let's move quickly and carefully. We don't know what kind of security the Heart has."

Eira nodded, her eyes scanning the surroundings. "I'll take point," she said. "You cover our backs."

As they moved forward, The Observer watched with interest, her eyes fixed on the pair. She knew that Cassius would stop at nothing to get his hands on the Crown's power. But she also knew that Eira and Lyrien were not going to give up without a fight. The stakes were high, and the outcome was far from certain.
