"Yes, I've got her right where I want her," Cassius thought to himself. "She's starting to see Lyrien for what he truly is - a manipulative and untrustworthy person."
Meanwhile, Eira was indeed getting closer to Cassius, but not because she believed the rumors about Lyrien. She was playing a game, pretending to be swayed by Cassius's words in order to uncover the truth.
