[At Skand's Home]
The morning sunlight slowly filtered into the courtyard. Inside the house, an Ayurvedic physician was carefully examining Skand's mother.
Vaidya:[Doctor]"I've completed my examination. Her condition is stable, but she needs specific medicines and plenty of rest. Only then will her health gradually improve."
Skand (bowing respectfully):"Thank you very much, Vaidya-ji."
(The vaidya hands over some herbal medicines, takes his fee, and departs.)
Skand's Thoughts:"The money I earned from selling perfume… today, it paid for my mother's treatment.Whatever is left will go into expanding my trade. I have to build a better life for us."
He walks over to his mother, sits beside her, and gently holds her hand.
Skand:"Mother, you're going to be fine now."
Mother (smiling faintly):"It fills me with pride that my son earned money with his own hands to get me treated."
Skand (thinking deeply):"Now that I've been reborn into this era, this is my true family.If I don't care for them… then who will?In my previous life, I made a terrible mistake with my mother.That mistake… I will never repeat again."

Knock, knock.
Skand opens the door. Standing outside — his uncle.
Uncle:"How are you, Skand? And how is your mother? May I go in to see her?"
Skand (thinking):
"He is Skand real uncle who is a scholar and he used to help Skand's father in his business and last few days he had gone to drop Skand's sister to her university. After Skand's father's death he has taken up all the responsibilities of the house."
Skand (respectfully):"Please come here ,but mother is resting right now, Uncle. The vaidya advised us to let her have as much rest as possible.Father's passing has shattered her deeply."
Uncle (in a serious tone):"I understand, son. I meet her later.But tell me — how did you pay for the doctor? You didn't borrow money, did you?"
Skand (smiling):"No, Uncle. I earned it. From selling perfume."
Uncle (surprised):"Wait, perfume?Don't tell me—you're the boy everyone's talking about in the market these days?"
Skand (smiling and nodding):"Yes, Uncle. You've guessed correctly."
Uncle (laughing in disbelief):"Hold on! Since when did you become so smart?"
Skand (jokingly):"Uncle, don't underestimate your nephew!"
Uncle (chuckling, thinking to himself):"Seems like Skand has truly understood his responsibilities.It's good… time is finally turning in the right direction."
