"I've got all the materials listed in the thermobaric bomb design plans, so I can make the thermobaric explosive. But the problem is, the ratio isn't specified," Kenichi said, studying his blueprints in the laboratory.
This was the thermobaric bomb construction plan he'd obtained. While it included most critical steps, the ratio for the thermobaric explosive remained conspicuously absent.
Kenichi stroked his chin. He'd only ever seen these weapons in movies and TV shows—of course, he'd never encountered one in real life.
But he knew these things were incredibly lethal, especially effective against underground structures and the people inside them.
He suspected the Westerners had developed this weapon after their jungle tunnel warfare left them with PTSD. They'd simply created a new tool to deal with their trauma.
There was no denying the thermobaric bomb's destructive power. In his previous life, it had been considered one of the most lethal conventional weapons—though naturally, nuclear weapons were excluded from that comparison.
"Could the missing ratio be because they need to account for Chakra?" Kenichi pondered aloud.
What's the biggest difference between the Ninja World and my previous life? Naturally, it's chakra—this unique energy. To Kenichi, chakra seems like an incredibly advanced form of power.
Just look at those mind-blowing ninjutsu. You could say it's chakra that makes this world so magical.
Then there's the Eye Power—something completely beyond explanation from my previous life. This stuff can even drag down meteorites, which is downright absurd.
So after getting the design plans for the thermobaric bomb, Kenichi started wondering: Could we integrate chakra into the bomb?
And if that's possible, could we eventually add Eye Power too? What kind of weapon would that create?
Kenichi was dying to find out.
But for now, he had no idea how to combine chakra with the thermobaric bomb. So he decided to look for inspiration elsewhere.
"I remember there should be a book called 'Exploding Tags: From Beginner to Master' around here." Kenichi rushed to the neighboring reference section and pulled out a book.
The Exploding Tag—its nature needed no explanation. At its core, it was simply a Fire Release technique sealed within specially prepared paper, making it convenient to carry and use.
It also required no special control techniques.
There were even Tailed Beast Sealing Tags and Sage Art Tags, proving that in the Ninja World, sealing ninjutsu, sealing techniques, and even Sage Art into paper was entirely possible.
So Kenichi planned to first study how to make Exploding Tags, then use that knowledge to attempt creating his own Chakra Temperature-Pressure Bombs.
Orochimaru watched his busy disciple running back and forth, sipping his tea. The girl's temperament was quite good.
At the very least, after realizing she was in a 'weakened' state, she hadn't tried to rebel against her teacher or ancestors, but instead focused on her research.
Of course, in reality, she wasn't actually in any weakened state. After her disciple left, she immediately sealed the laboratory and performed Immortality Reincarnation.
At first, she did feel her soul's weakness, but now she felt much better. Her strength had already recovered almost completely. If Kenichi truly attacked, she would mercilessly purge the traitor.
"The Akatsuki, huh? The Rinnegan is a Sage's eye, said to possess tremendous power." Orochimaru twirled the ring on his finger.
But after glancing at his body, he felt a surge of irritation.
There'd been a problem with his Immortality Reincarnation research. For some reason, whenever he attempted the technique, the vessel's body would suddenly shudder.
The experiment required strict conditions. Though it was just a momentary tremor, it disrupted his Immortality Reincarnation process.
Now Orochimaru realized he'd been affected by fragments of the vessel's memories. He'd thought he'd purged most of them, but after that shudder, irrelevant memories had resurfaced.
Fortunately, this didn't hinder his ability to maintain his previous appearance. Using that form to meet his disciples had been part of the test.
Now that the trial was complete, he could return to his original form.
Soon, all traces of his previous appearance had vanished from Orochimaru's body. His height had decreased slightly, but the difference was barely noticeable.
Orochimaru, welcome to the Akatsuki.
A sudden voice echoed through the air. The next moment, Orochimaru's vision darkened, and she found herself standing in a strange place.
She turned her head to look around. The area was dimly lit, and she realized she wasn't present in her true form but rather in another manifestation.
"Leader Pain, what kind of technique is this?" Kenichi, who had also been pulled into the space, asked. Though he'd seen this in Naruto before, experiencing it firsthand was still quite remarkable.
"This is the Ninjutsu we use for Akatsuki meetings and exchanges," Pain said expressionlessly. "Since it's your first time, we didn't notify you beforehand. Next time we'll inform you properly before summoning you."
In truth, Pain had deliberately summoned them to demonstrate his power—a subtle intimidation tactic.
After all, these two Konoha Missing-nin were attending their first Akatsuki meeting, a gathering he himself had orchestrated.
"Oh? So it really is the Rinnegan." Orochimaru studied the figure before them. Even in the darkness, those eyes stood out with striking clarity.
Those eyes, like ripples in water, were unforgettable.
"Use your ring names when communicating within the organization from now on," Pain said, showing no concern for Orochimaru's presence. He was confident in his own strength.
"Understood, Pain," Kenichi replied with a smile.
"Konan, can I get a cooler outfit? Maybe a trench coat?" Kenichi turned to another participant.
Nagato took a deep breath.
Why did he suddenly feel like kicking Kenichi out?
Orochimaru remained silent, arms crossed as he observed from the side.
"All organization uniforms are identical except for size," Konan finally replied after a moment of consideration.
She'd never encountered someone so concerned about clothing. What use was style? Did it improve combat performance? Konan couldn't comprehend it.
"Ah, we could add some distinguishing features, like—" Kenichi suggested, glancing at Pain out of the corner of his eye.
"Enough! Kenichi!" Nagato couldn't take it anymore.
Kenichi shrugged and made a zipping motion with his fingers.
