"Not bad luck," Amemiya Kenichi muttered, a faint smile playing on his lips as he watched the two mountain bandits twitching on the ground before him.
He never expected to run into more bandits so soon after continuing his journey, especially since this time there were only two of them.
"Please, spare us! This is our first time doing this!" The man lying on the ground, barely able to move, struggled to speak.
He felt utterly cursed. He'd seen Kenichi traveling alone and thought robbing him would be an easy way to improve their lives. Little did he know their target was a ninja. Is the economy really that bad these days? he wondered. Even ninjas have to become merchants now?
Kenichi pursed his lips. These two hadn't been so pathetic when they'd jumped out earlier. He preferred their previous arrogance.
"Please, my elderly mother is waiting for me at home," the man sobbed, snot bubbling from his nose.
"Hmph? I'm not about to let myself get kidnapped by your sob story," Kenichi snapped, annoyed. He knocked the two bandits unconscious with the back of his blade, effectively silencing them.
"Let's see, the steps for Impure World Reincarnation are..." Amemiya Kenichi recalled the ritual and dragged the two mountain bandits into a secluded cave.
Following the steps of the Impure World Reincarnation, Kenichi began the process. He temporarily tied up the second bandit and tossed him aside, since he could only reincarnate one First Hokage at a time.
"Rise again, my warrior!" Kenichi whispered, pressing his palms together. The offering before him transformed into the First Hokage, who slowly opened his eyes.
But before the First Hokage could fully open his eyes, his face rapidly dissolved, and his entire body crumbled into dust.
Kenichi's mouth twitched. As expected of the God of Shinobi, his power is just absurd. I didn't think ordinary people couldn't even contain the First Hokage's soul.
"This guy's no good. I guess the other one won't work either." Kenichi glanced at the still-unconscious bandit and scratched his head.
The Impure World Reincarnation is a powerful ninjutsu, but its practicality seems limited. To bring out the First Hokage's full power, you'd probably need at least a Jonin-level sacrifice.
But Amemiya Kenichi didn't need the First Hokage to fight for him. He only wanted his knowledge, so a Genin should suffice.
"Should I try Uzumaki Kushina?" Amemiya Kenichi stroked his chin. He'd obtained some of her hair at the Fourth Hokage's funeral.
But considering the Uzumaki Clan's mastery of sealing techniques, he abandoned the idea. Besides, there was no point in reincarnating Kushina now anyway.
"Lucky bastard," Amemiya Kenichi sighed, looking at the unconscious mountain bandit. If ordinary people were useless, he'd have to try a Genin.
A moment later, Amemiya Kenichi clapped his hands and left the cave. The cave was empty, showing no sign that anyone else had been there.
Current research progress: 99.99%
Amemiya Kenichi glanced at his Golden Finger. Its presence was faint, but it was still incredibly useful. It looked like it was almost done analyzing the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
He needed to start thinking about his next research subject.
"There's so much I could study with what I have," Amemiya Kenichi mused. The Byakugan was an option, and since its owner had defected from their village, he figured he'd soon be able to study the Shikotsumyaku as well. These were all excellent experimental materials.
But considering he'd be heading to the Land of Rain soon and would likely encounter Nagato and Konan of Akatsuki, Amemiya Kenichi decided to focus on the piece of amber he'd collected earlier.
This amber contained a parasite said to have controlled people back in the Sage of the Six Paths' era. Whether that was true or not, if it was, Nagato might find it interesting.
The real question was how effective the parasite actually was. Could it control ninja? While the Sage of the Six Paths had destroyed it, proving its power, Amemiya Kenichi could only study one thing at a time. He was torn.
In the end, Amemiya Kenichi decided to try researching the parasite. After all, he could handle the other experiments himself, whether it was studying the Byakugan or his Bloodline.
But the parasite was dead. Unless Amemiya Kenichi could revive it, there was no way to study it.
This was the crucial factor in his decision.
The next morning, when Amemiya Kenichi woke up, the world before him seemed different.
It was as if the world he'd seen before had been 1080p resolution, but now he was seeing it in 8K. He could even see the vibrating wings of mosquitoes flying past.
Amemiya Kenichi was stunned for a moment. Then he realized his research must have completed while he was sleeping, and he'd directly obtained the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
"Is this the Three-Tomoe Sharingan?" Amemiya Kenichi stared at his reflection. His eyes now looked just like those of the Uchiha Clan.
Remembering Kakashi's physical condition, Amemiya Kenichi quickly tested whether using his eyes would strain his body. To his surprise, he felt absolutely no negative effects.
In fact, it was as if he had been born into the Uchiha Clan, possessing perfect control over his Sharingan.
"So, could I evolve to the Mangekyō Sharingan too?" Amemiya Kenichi mused, stroking his chin.
Typically, Uchiha Clan members needed intensely powerful emotional triggers to awaken the Sharingan, like witnessing the death of a loved one before their eyes.
Amemiya Kenichi was deeply curious about how emotions and mental energy influenced the Sharingan. He planned to return to the lab after this mission to conduct experiments and uncover the exact mechanisms behind this emotional connection.
Perhaps he could unlock the secret to evolving the Sharingan, or even stumble upon other unexpected discoveries.
As for his own eyes, Amemiya Kenichi wasn't worried. He had already left Konoha and had obtained a pair of Three-Tomoe Sharingan from his Teacher. He could easily claim he had transplanted them himself.
