Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

The sun rose over the horizon, marking the beginning of a new day without a single cloud to dim its intensity. Awakening a few unwary people who had left their window blinds half-open, causing them to wake up.

A few golden rays in particular slanted through a window with old curtains and fell directly onto the face of a white-haired omega. She let out a groan of discontent as she brought a hand to her forehead, rubbing it clumsily, as if the gesture could dissolve the throbbing pain in her head.

The room was absolutely silent, with only the faint hum of a fan slowly turning on the ceiling, breaking the stillness.

All was peaceful until Erika suddenly opened her eyes.

"W-where...?" she stammered, barely a raspy whisper.

She sat up abruptly, her movements clumsy and desperate. Her breathing quickened, too shallow as the air moved in and out, unable to relieve her.

Her hands trembled as she felt around the bed, searching for something, anything, to calm her.

But she found only emptiness.

"No... no..." she gasped. "Where am I?"

The walls began to close in on her. Her chest was heavy, compressed by an anxiety she couldn't control with each breath, feeling useless as fear overwhelmed her.

Wild pheromones escaped her body, thick and heavy with anguish as the omega brought both hands to her head, clutching her temples, as if she could keep her mind from shattering into a thousand pieces.

Tears flowed uncontrollably, sliding down her cheeks as she slid out of bed and fell to her knees on the carpet, her heart pounding so hard it seemed to want to burst her chest from the inside out.

Melina didn't sleep very well. After the call with her aunts, she had to take a few minutes to calm down and regain enough strength to step foot in the room she shared with her sister.

Only to wake up to Rose's startled voices, wanting her to get up so she could turn on the cartoon channel she always watched when she woke up.

And as she walked into the living room, she accidentally stubbed her pinky toe, but she had to endure the pain by covering her mouth with both hands, despite wanting to scream at the top of her lungs. She didn't want to wake Erika so early after the night she'd had.

Then, to top it all off, the super-special breakfast she was making for her sisters was ruined. She burned the toast too much, spilled butter on the floor, and, for some reason, the bacon was rotten.

Everything seemed to indicate that this would be a day of bad luck. Just what the little alpha needed to stay calm and not reveal her early introduction to more people.

"(This is great, simply great)" The growl that Melina held back resonated throughout her body, causing slight tremors in her hands. "(If I keep this up, sooner or later there will come a growl that I won't be able to contain or hide...)"

The alpha's thoughts were interrupted by the scent of a familiar, uncontrolled scent.

"(Erika!)" The growl sounded much louder than any of the little alpha's previous ones, but even though she noticed it, she decided to ignore it as she ran in search of the white-haired omega.

What she didn't notice was how her younger sister Rose, who was sitting cross-legged in front of the living room television, looked at her in surprise and a little fear while hugging a small teddy bear that was missing an eye.

Erika's body wouldn't stop shaking, and she couldn't feel any air entering her lungs.

Her mind was in chaos, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't calm down. Every moment that passed, she became more and more agitated.

"Erika!!"

The omega was so lost that black spots began to appear at the edge of her vision, and she felt increasingly dizzy.

"Erika!!"

The few thoughts that managed to form in the white-haired girl's mind only served to say:

Where was she?

How did she get here?

Who brought her here?

Why wasn't she wearing the dress she was wearing last night?

Why did her body smell faintly like an alpha?

Did an alpha change her?

An alpha…

"Erika!!" the cry of a familiar voice laden with something that immediately penetrated the omega's core, capturing her full attention. "Sister Eri, look at me, it's me, calm down!!"

"Melina?"

"Yes! Yes!... It's me, your little sister." The furtive little alpha slowly approached and hugged the white-haired girl, pressing her head against his chest and gently stroking her. "Breathe with me... 1... 2... breathe... 1... 2... repeat."

"Breathe... 1... 2... breathe... 1... 2..."

"That's it, omega!... you're a good omega," Melina said with a small smile that froze as her eyes widened in realization of what she had just said.

"Thanks, Mer, I can always count on you," Erika thanked her while letting out small purrs, seeming not to have heard what Melina had said, who sighed in relief at not having to think of anything to justify it.

The omega's continuous purrs grew a little louder, causing the alpha to melt into the embrace, relaxing in the brotherly embrace.

"This is so cute," said a voice behind the Belion sister duo, causing them to part slightly to look at each other.

"Alison?" - Erika whispered, surprised.

"(Alison)" Melina would hold back the growl that wanted to leave her throat well enough that no one except the older alpha would notice, who would raise an eyebrow at her with a bit of amusement.

"Hello, beautiful." Alison smiled at Erika and then looked at Melina, who reluctantly separated from her sister. "And hello, little me." The blonde alpha winked at the younger alpha.

"Hello, Aunt Alison." You could almost hear the warning in little Belion's tone if she said anything. "I'm glad to see your mouth is as good as ever... just be careful, you could have an accident and hurt yourself... You never know."

"Thanks for the advice, little me." The alpha approached Melina and placed her hand on her head, ruffling her hair and laughing at the younger girl's clear discontent. "By the way, Erika, when I was coming here, I found some flowers by the door that had your name on them, so I left them on the table for you."

"Flowers?" the white-haired omega asked, wanting to focus on something to get her out of her state and recover enough to overcome it.

"Yes... more precisely, blue roses," Alison said in a sing-song tone, happy to see her friend's happiness after everything that had happened.

"Thanks, Alison!" The omega from the Belion family gave the aforementioned a small kiss on the cheek before running out the door.

"You're welcome!!" Alison shouted, her arms behind her back.

"Don't you think it's a bit suspicious that after the night she had, her favorite flowers arrived the next day?" Melina crossed her arms, now she was the one raising an eyebrow.

"It must be another one of Elias's attempts to get your attention." The blonde shrugged with complete disinterest. "And even though all his attempts at courtship are rejected... since your sister somehow ignores their meaning, taking it as a friendly gesture... he never gives up unless he receives a direct rejection."

"Are you serious?" The white-haired alpha looked surprised while the other alpha nodded.

"Yeah, it's a little pathetic, if I'm honest." Alison rolled her eyes in obvious disgust, then fixed her gaze on Melina, regarding her seriously. "But let's put that aside... what matters to you right now is that you and I have a conversation to have."

"Yes... We do." The alphas exchanged glances, unconsciously releasing pheromones that made the air heavy.
