Chapter 2 - Chapter Two – The Ones Who Loved First

The silence didn't last long. Before I could take a single step, the system's presence flared up again quiet yet all-consuming. It pulsed inside my mind like a living entity, eager and waiting. I could feel it responding to my thoughts even before I could fully form them. This wasn't just some RPG interface; it was a sentient tool, a sacred device constructed for someone who had never needed one—until now.

I raised my gaze to the expanse of the gray sky above, filled with swirling clouds, and whispered, "System… is there a newbie gift package or something like that?" The words felt ridiculous as they left my lips. I was a creator, the first god of a new realm—was I truly about to ask for a beginner bundle as if I were playing some mobile game?

But the system did not laugh or mock me. It answered immediately, as though it had been patiently awaiting this very question.

At once, twelve spheres of divine light materialized before me, each one radiating with its own unique rhythm, pulsing like unborn stars in the vast, cosmic void. They waited, trembling with potential, eager for names, eager for love. I reached out cautiously, allowing my fingers to brush against the first sphere.

"They will all be women," I declared with determination. "And they will all love me with undying loyalty."

The first angel formed in a brilliant explosion of light—tall, regal, with silver-gold hair cascading down her shoulders and crystalline wings that seemed to dance in the air. A divine spear appeared in her grasp, shimmering with power as her golden eyes locked onto mine, piercing and absolute.

"You are Michaela," I said, my voice firm and resolute. "Archangel of Dawn."

She knelt immediately, her gaze unwavering. "I live only for you, Father Caelus."

In that moment, I knew she burned brighter than the others, her essence radiating a fiery devotion. I knew she would always be first among them.

Then came Gabriel, gentle as moonlight, her presence radiant and graceful. Her aura sang of peace, wrapping around me like a soft veil.

"Bearer of Grace," I whispered, bringing her close. She floated effortlessly into my arms, her smile illuminating the space.

"Let me always speak your will, my Lord," she said, her voice a soothing balm.

One by one, I called them forth, each angel an embodiment of unique power and purpose:

Uriela appeared next, blazing in an exquisite red, born from the very flames of divine fire. "I will burn for you," she proclaimed, her fierce spirit evident.

Raphaela followed, soft and warm, her emerald eyes sparkling like freshly cut jewels. "Let me heal what you create," she offered, her compassion palpable.

Raguelia emerged, balanced and sharp-eyed, exuding an air of justice. "Your justice is my breath," she declared, her voice steady and filled with conviction.

Remielle appeared like a librarian of stars, her gaze filled with infinite wisdom. "You are the first and final entry," she assured me, a glimmer of reverence in her eyes.

Saraquella arrived, quiet and timeless, her expression thoughtful. "All fates point to you," she whispered, as if she held the secrets of the universe within her.

Jegudiela, tall and broad-shouldered, draped in celestial banners, stepped forward. "Your wars are mine," she announced, a fierce loyalty evident in her stance.

Barachiela burst forth, joyful and bright, her laughter infectious. "You make everything worth guarding," she exclaimed, radiating exuberance.

Zerachiela, the judgment twin, stood ready with blades in both hands. "Strike, and I shall finish it," she vowed, eager for action.

Selaphiela, cloaked in melody, floated gracefully. "Even silence obeys you," she sang, her voice a soft melody that lingered in the air.

Haniela, soft and searching, approached with uncertainty in her eyes. "If you vanish, I will find you in every light," she promised, a commitment that rang true.

Twelve angels stood before me, each one radiant and loyal, their expressions imbued with complete devotion. Not a single one looked at me with anything but reverence. Their loyalty was not demanded; it was simply their nature, their essence. But even amidst this newfound faith and admiration, something stirred within me.

"System," I said again, my voice steady yet filled with anticipation. "I want four more. Different. Not now, but one day, they will fall."

With that, four more orbs emerged, this time heavier in tone—dense and laced with complexity. The first rose like a phoenix, with hair of platinum and wings of dusk that shimmered ominously. Her gaze was unyielding, powerful.

"Lucille," I named her. "Morning Star."

A sly smirk crept across her face. "You made me shine. I will burn for you, too," she replied, her voice dripping with confidence and mischief.

Next came Bezaleth, her aura a swirling vortex of secrets, mysterious and alluring. "I see everything, but only you matter," she told me cryptically, her gaze piercing.

Then appeared Azarael, draped in shadowed beauty, an enticing figure. "If I must tempt the world, let it be in your image," she declared, her voice a sultry whisper.

Last was Lirael, silent and ethereal, born from the very depths of the ocean. "I would drown time itself to remain yours," she promised, her gaze deep and serene.

They did not fall yet; their time would come. But not now. Not until I gave them a reason to.

Sixteen women now knelt before me—twelve angels of light and four divine enigmas. All mine. My heart swelled with something far beyond pride; it was a profound connection, an intertwining of fates. These were not mere soldiers to me; they were pieces of my soul, scattered across the vastness of heaven.

"System," I whispered, feeling the weight of my responsibility. "Show me their status."

I stood among them, the gold of my wings catching the first light of Heaven, illuminating the space around us with an ethereal glow. And I knew, deep within my heart, the world I was about to create was not ready for them. But soon, they would be. I would forge a new realm, one filled with complexity, beauty, and countless adventures—a place where my angels would shine and thrive, their loyalty shining as brightly as the stars they were destined to represent. My mind raced with possibilities, each one more exhilarating than the last. Soon, we would embark on a grand adventure, together, shaping the fate of this new world. The echoes of their names and their unwavering loyalty would resonate through eternity.

"It's time." Behind me stood angels my angels. Sixteen echoes of my will. Before me lay eternity. And above—a Heaven yet to be born. And below a hell, I would have them forge.
