"Shizuka, I really don't know about this plan." The white haired child said as he and his friend approached the hospital of Tokyo.
"Do you want to be with me or not, Sakido? If you're not for my efforts, then just tell me." The other boy said, looking Sakido in his eyes sternly.
"No, it's okay, I understand." Sakido said, looking down at the ground.
The two boys passed through the sprawling streets and passed into the narrow alleyway. From this passage, they rounded the corner of the tall building beside the hospital and appeared behind the medical center.
"What if we get caught?" Sakido asked.
"We won't, I've done this before." Shizuka replied
The brown haired boy pulled out a small pair of shears from his pants as they approached the breaker of the hospital.
"I see that look in your eyes, Sakido. Look dude, these worthless hospital workers aren't worth anything, how else are we going to send a message?" Shizuka asked, essentially pleading to Sakido. "Don't you remember how we felt looking over the city from the top of these buildings? We can really do something about the cycle! My plans will all add up."
"I see where you're coming from, but I just can't help but ask if this is the best way of going about it."
"Of course it is man, if we don't do things like this, no one will take us seriously. Remember, help me out, and I'll help you out."
"Okay Shizuka, if you say so."
"You distracted the security right?" Shizuka asked his companion.
"Yeah, they're distracted in the front."
"Awesome."
Shizuka approached the breaker box with the shears and cut through the chain lock on the device.
Once opened, he pulled out the largest bundle of electrical cords and placed them in between the jaws of the shears. With a swift motion, he pulled down on the tool and the wires were severed, sparks immediately were sent flying as the power to the building was entirely cut.
The two boys stepped back and observed the ensuing chaos. The noises coming from in the building, and the individuals seen through the glass panes pleased Shizuka's sense of justice.
"Okay, can we go now, Shizuka?" The young boy asked.
"Hold on Sakido, I want to watch for a little while longer. Those heartless doctors are panicking, exactly as I planned."
"Is it really their fault, Shizuka? They're only employed here."
"They chose this once they read the contract. Don't feel bad for them, Sakido."
"Okay." The white haired boy said laconically.
The ensuing sparks caught fire and travelled up the wires to the building, causing an immediate fire to break out onto the building. The flames immediately enveloped the building as alarms within began blaring.
"Even better!" Shizuka exclaimed
"Für die Barmherzigkeit des Schöpfers!(For the mercy of the creator!) Shizuka, we have to stop it!"
Sakido ran towards the building only to be pulled back by Shizuka. "You idiot, stay back. They'll spot you and then you'll be in real trouble. There's sprinklers in the building, no one will be harmed."
"You don't know that, Shizuka! You just put all of their lives at risk!"
"Does it matter that much? The ones in there most likely wish they were dead anyway."
Sakido watched the ensuing flames in horror, the glowing fire reflecting off of his blue eyes. He stood there watching as the building slowly fell apart and began to collapse on itself. He heard the screams of the ones inside, the screams of the employees, the sick, the visitors, of all.
Sakido gained flashes within his mind of what had happened that night, the night that 'She' killed his parents. The night that his whole life burned down around him. He fell to his knees and began crying aloud.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Shizuka yelled to Sakido.
"Look at what you've done, no one deserves this!" Sakido screamed, his tears flowing down his cheeks.
"Come on, crybaby." Shizuka grabbed Sakido by his collar and led him out of the alleyway. Sakido caught a glimpse of the first responders coming to the scene, which pacified his fear for the ones out in danger.
Once inside the system of alleyways, he pushes Sakido away from him and begins with "If you keep being like that, you'll never make it in this world! What you just saw is nothing compared to what everyone else is capable of."
"I'm aware of that, Shizuka! But I fear for the ones who are innocent in that fire."
"Innocence, don't speak of innocence, innocence can only exist through perspectives that someone forces upon themselves."
"Do you not hold a regard for their safety?" Sakido asked his companion.
"They wouldn't hold a regard for mine." Shizuka said.
Sakido looked at his hands and pondered in his mind, thinking over the legitimacy of Shizuka's words.
"The world really can be a better place, Sakido, but without drastic change, that hope might as well be buried." The boy said as he held his hand out to his friend.
3 Years Ago From Present Day
Ichika is strolling through the public library of Kurigawa when she spots Shizuka there as well. In a showing of politeness, she casually saunters towards him and greets him.
"Shizuka, how are you? I haven't seen you in a year or so."
Shizuka was peering down at his book, as he heard Ichika's voice, he closed his book. The title that she observed was
"The Modern Federalistic Papers of Japan. A collection of documents written by President Kito and members of his cabinet."
He observed the blonde girl and said back "I'm fine, Ichika. Thank you. And yourself?"
"I'm doing well. I'm just here getting some books to study for my general health science class exam. What are you reading there?" The girl says while pushing her flowing hair back over her ear.
"Oh this? This is for my Japanese Political Science class. I just wanted to review just as you, as you know, exams are approaching next month."
She nodded her head and smiled at him, projecting a soft and understanding cadence towards him. "Of course…How is the class?"
"I've studied these things far before starting this class, so it's come quite naturally to me."
"Good, I'm glad. I wish that I could say the same."
The two giggled between themselves.
The blonde girl took a seat in front of his at the wooden table that he sat.
"How is your relationship with Sakido? He hasn't mentioned it in a while?"
Shizuka's look of subtle joy changed to a subtle resentment.
"Well, that adds up. He hasn't been associated with me for a year now. He doesn't message me, or offer to meet up. I used to offer him to play online games like we used to, but he didn't respond."
"What do you think caused this change? I ask you because he doesn't seem to want to elaborate to me."
"You know that I'm pretty…well…I can be 'unruly', over time Sakido's grown to be quite an organized and rather righteous person."
"Sakido spends much of his time inside or with me, perhaps I can work over the course of some time and get him to get closer with you. You've always-"
Shizuka interrupted the girl irreverently and said "You don't need to do that, he's made his decision, I don't need this pity. The last thing that I want is for people to feel bad for me, I'm not a fucking child. Unlike you and Sakido, I don't need consolation to justify my lifestyle."
With those words, Shizuka stood up, took the book that he had and walked in the direction of the exit.
"Shizuka, just hold on!"
Before Ichika could stand up, Shizuka turned and told the girl. "Since you're so damn considerate, why don't you try to spread that quality to Sakido."
Ichika's eyes grew sad from the insulting nature of Shizuka's words, he simply turned and walked away from her.
Modern Day
After the devastating attack Sakido had thrown at Shizuka, both boys needed a moment to recover. Sakido's entire sleeve has been burned off, his entire arm and shoulder being exposed now.
Korihime ran up to Sakido to heal him and placed her hands on him briefly. The familiar white light spread over Sakido's skin.
Suddenly, a voice that Sakido knew approached.
"Oh no…scheiße." Sakido said, as he turned to see Ami running towards him.
"Oh my god!!! Sakido, what the hell is this? You're a Ronin?!"
"How the hell did you get over here, Ami, you're going to die! Go now!!!" The boy yelled at her for her own safety.
"Are you serious? At first I hear that my brother is dead! And now I get here and see that he's some mass murderer, I'm not going anywhere. You're going to tell me what the fuck is going-"
A sudden wave of electricity flows over head and crashes down upon Ami, nearly missing her because of Sakido's reaction speed. The boy had pulled her out of the way of the attack.
"Ahhh, Ami, it's been a while, sister." Shizuka grinned with his callous grin as he said these words.
The girl sobbed loudly and screamed out "WHAT IS HAPPENING? SHIZUKA, YOU DIED!"
"Ah, but I was reborn…sister. Do not worry, it will make sense in time. I will confront our father, this is the only way."
"What the hell are you talking about? What can our father do! I've told you to let this go! Now look,-" The girl choked on her words and tears briefly "So many are dead, this goddamn city is completely ruined!"
"So you're not on my side, Ami? Why should you be? All of you have turned against me anyway. I'm tired of this talk! I will get to my father, regardless of if I have to kill you three!"
Sakido stepped in front of the two women and pointed his flaming sword towards him.
"I've had enough of this, Shizuka!"
With those words, Sakido, sent two more Aufschlitzen towards Shizuka, this time, the attacks were loaded with less Seishin energy and had less of an impact, they did succeed to blind Shizuka temporarily and open a window of opportunity for Sakido.
The white haired boy flickered in front of Shizuka and swung his blade at him, only to be parried by the inorganic material covering Shizuka's right arm.
Shizuka formed a black crystalline dagger in his hand and managed to jab it into Sakido's chest, sending not only the blade, but electricity into the wound. The boy backed away and flickered behind Shizuka.
Flickering as fast as Sakido could was unique to him, as Shizuka didn't possess the ability to teleport as fast as Sakido.
The boy, utilizing his speed and foresight was able to dodge the flurry of attacks Shizuka sent using his manipulation of electricity. The powers flickered all around, cashing an inescapable web that Sakido had to avoid.
Sakido searched desperately for an opening as his stamina continued to drain. The speed of battle was far too fast for him to consider his options. Lives laid on the line now, he had to win, there was no option to lose, there was nothing to save him.
He had managed to position himself above Shizuka as Ami shouted to the boy.
"Think about what you're doing, Shizuka, listen to me, you don't have to fight him!"
As Shizuka peered at his sister, Sakido lowered himself from above and…
"Aufschlitzen!!!"
He threw the projective straight at the boy, he landed in the center of affected area and stabbed Shizuka directly in the abdomen. "You don't have to do this, Shizuka! Listen to her"
"You're ridiculous, Sakido. I won't subjugate myself to your level!"
As Sakido took the blade from Shizuka's abdomen, he attempted to slice again, only to be paired with the dagger yet again. The two clashed blades as the fire and electricity swirled around them.
With each clash, more power was emitted and more destruction was created. Debris fell as each blade connected, Ami nor Korihime could come within the fight area.
As Sakido became blinded by the electricity, he was caught off guard and sliced again, this time diagonally across the chest.
The boy spat out blood and stumbled backwards!
Ami shouted from the distance "Shizuka, we'll do what it takes, I promise, please, don't do this! It's not his fault!"
Sakido weakly parried Shizuka's dagger, the brown haired boy held his hand out and surrounded Sakido with electricity. He closed his hand and the force of the explosion caused a grave injury to Sakido. The white haired boy had tried to guard himself with his seishin energy, but that could only block so much.
As Shizuka attempted to deliver a killing blow, Sakido used his foresight to catch his wrist. He flicked upwards and broke Shizuka's wrist. Within his right hand, he held his sword in reverse grip. He sliced it across Shizuka's chest, the blue energy burning into his skin.
Having the advantage now, the wounded Sakido sliced and sliced and sliced at the boy. As Shizuka tried to reposition himself, he found that he met a blade tearing through his flesh. Sakido screamed as adrenaline took over and caused him to mutilate Shizuka's body. Blood stained Sakido's eyes, his veins were pulsing, he stabbed Shizuka over and over again. The blood splattered back onto him, covering his clothing layer after layer.
Shizuka kneeled before Sakido, attempting to gather his strength. He peered up to see Sakido standing before him. Sakido looked down on him with a sanctimonious look within his gaze. His bloodshot eyes held a look of merciless hatred.
"Don't you look down on me! You're no better than I am. None of us are better than each other!"
As Shizuka spoke, Sakido raised his hand, his palm facing towards his opponent. A darker blue force began spiraling in his hand. This blue formation of energy sent waves of Seishin energy up Sakido's arm, within his palm was a concentrated mass of Seishin energy.
The sheer force of this mass caused Shizuka to tremble, the energy coming from it seemed to cause the heart rate to increase, to cause debris around the two to scatter.
Sakido aimed this mass at Shizuka, it's spiraling arms flowing up and down Sakido's right arm.
"You've always held yourself above everyone, it makes me sick." Shizuka said, glaring at Sakido, speaking with latent fear in his voice.
"Not everyone, just you." Sakido's cold eyes stared deep into Shizuka's eyes, his white hair flowing in and out of his vision.
"Ausweiden."
Once Sakido announced this attack, the orb from his hand shot out like a beam and created a cylindrical mass spiraling out in front of him, Shizuka taking the brunt of the impact.
This beam travelled far in front of Sakido, reaching nearly a kilometer without ceasing. The attack left a massive continuous crater deep into the earth. The beam cleared all debris in sight and eviscerated everything that it came into contact with.
Both Ami and Korihime watched as this attack decimated what was left of the city before them.
Once the debris had cleared, Sakido peered downwards and saw Shizuka's mutilated body. It had been charred, his burned flesh exposed. His skin was torn apart, muscles and tendons out and laying on the ground. His blood pooled beneath him.
Sakido stared at his corpse for a few moments, taking in the scene, and thinking over what had transpired in such a short time.
Ami and Korihime took time ran up to Sakido. As they ran, Sakido simply stared at the corpse of who he once called his friend. The bright blue energy that came from his Seishin was surrounding his body, but was burning from his eyes. Within his hand, he still held the burning sword.
Sakido's eyes widened suddenly.
"You two! N-"
A tumultuous explosion was sent cascading across the battlefield. Within a flash, Sakido had teleported directly to Korihime and Ami, he held them close and used what energy he had left to guard them from the chaotic burst of electric energy that was being rapidly sent back and forth across the city.
"How did y-" Ami asked before being interrupted.
"I don't know. I won't let anything happen to either of you. I promise." He said as he looked both of the women into his eyes.
As the three of them looked in the direction of Shizuka's corpse. They saw something they could never have fathomed seeing.
The 'corpse' has risen, it was levitating in the air, the electricity propelling it upwards. The corpse came to life as it's head rose and he screamed into the air.
With that scream, the entirety of all of the debris, all of the remaining buildings, the vehicles, corpses, and remaining survivors were all lifted into the air. Everything was completely lifted into the air as the earth itself shook from these electric vibrations. The ground shifted and opened up as the mass destruction was taking place. The ground fell in on itself, causing catastrophic damage.
Even Ami and Korihime were lifted into the air, Sakido grabbed Korihime's hand as she attempted to cling to him, but was promptly flown towards the direction of Shizuka, along with Ami.
When Sakido peered up at this horror, his heart sank and he felt a feeling that was beyond hopelessness.
Seeing the sky turn black with dust and charred remains made his heart sink. Electricity bounced and reflected from every object, structure, and person in the sky. They were all combined closer into multiple rings, forming circular structures.
Shizuka's voice echoed across what was now nearly a wasteland.
"Sakido, I have given you an opportunity to either join me, or to acquiesce. You have chosen to halt my desires. I will make you regret this decision."
"Let them go, you bastard! They have nothing to do with this!"
"But you do."
As he said those words, he descended to the ground. His eyes were crackling with sparking white energy.
His dagger had now turned into a sword, the base was made of the same crystals, but now had a blade formed of electricity coming from the hilt.
Shizuka lifted his hand and two ropes of electricity restrained Sakido, giving him a constant painful shock.
Sakido attempted to fight, but it was no use, whatever power Shizuka now had, it exercised complete control over him. There was nothing now that Sakido could fight with.
"Shizuka, you f-"
The blade was rammed through Sakido's chest…
The boy quit talking, blood ran from his lips, his body went limp.
A faint blue energy appeared around the entrance wound.
The girls watched and screamed in horror…
Sakido appeared to be dead.
