Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 A Busy Morning

Since the three Pokémon had all had their health care, Eddie called the other Pokémon in and gave each of them a health care treatment.

This time he made use of Selene's power again, and was able to provide comprehensive health care to eight Pokémon at once, making everyone feel refreshed in no time.

It was the first time for Purrloin and the three Ghost-type Pokémon to have a health check-up. At the beginning, they were confused and didn't understand why Eddie asked them to do it. But after they actually experienced it, they suddenly felt like their souls ascended to heaven.

The improvement in work efficiency allowed Eddie to complete all the work in a short time. Selene was the last one. Because assisting Eddie's work took up time, Eddie let it enjoy it for a while longer.

Purrloin and the three Ghost-type Pokémon were all feeling dizzy when they left the room. It was their first time having a major health check, and the feeling of comfort was so strong that when they left, they were still immersed in that feeling and couldn't extricate themselves.

Especially the Purrloin, when it went out, it walked unsteadily and almost bumped into the door frame.

[TL: what he doing to them lol]

Before they left, Eddie said to them, "As long as you behave well in the future, you can get health care at any time."

It has to be said that this guarantee made the four Pokémon vaguely look forward to their future life on Mystic Mountain. The temptation of health care was so strong that the Purrloin even suspected that Eddie had used some kind of addictive drug on it.

It had been in a drug trafficking organization before, so it knew exactly what the reaction would be after taking drugs.

After everyone left, Eddie also walked out of the room. At this time, Max came over and told him that Conner was here.

During the days when Eddie was away, Conner would occasionally come over to visit and stay for the whole day.

During the holidays at home, he spent more time with his father, and correspondingly, the conflicts between them increased. So whenever he felt depressed, he would come to Mystic Mountain to see Eli and Vaporeon.

Whenever Conner sees them working and playing carefree on Mystic Mountain, he thinks of his deceased grandfather and feels at ease.

Seeing Eddie coming out of the house, Conner said in surprise: "Eddie, you're back!"

Eddie did not tell anyone else about his return except those in the orphanage, so Conner was so surprised at this moment.

"Yeah, I just came back yesterday." Eddie nodded at him with a smile, then invited him into the house.

Conner came with his schoolbag. After chatting with Eddie for a while, he simply stayed in the room to read and study.

Eddie did not disturb him but went to Mystic Mountain with Selene to see the growth of the grafted fruit trees.

The fruit trees were growing very well. Eddie sorted out the energy diagram for them, then returned to Mystic Mountain and began to contact the friends he had met at the Berry exhibition one by one to discuss with them the relevant matters of sending the fruit trees.

On the other side, after the Pokémon had their health care, they returned to their respective jobs.

The Talonflame went on patrol as usual.

The Roserade followed Vaporeon to water the fruit trees, and Vileplume, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen went to the warehouse at the foot of the mountain, waiting for people from the Celebi Breeding House to come and transport the Berries stored in it.

As for Purrloin, Gastly, Haunter, and Litwick, they were taken by the Leavanny to visit the orchard and learn about their future jobs.

It is July now, which is the season when the Aspear Berry is ripe. Looking at the trees full of fruits, the Purrloin wrinkled its nose. Suddenly, the rich fruity fragrance hit its face, and it was almost drooling.

"How long will it take to finish eating so many fruits?" The Purrloin looked intoxicated.

As a poor little creature who often went hungry in the past, the Purrloin's biggest concern was food and clothing.

It had heard before that Eddie had planted a lot of fruit trees, and Eddie had also personally told it that it would not have to worry about its livelihood in the future. However, the Purrloin, who never trusted others easily, did not really take Eddie's words to heart.

If you want me to believe you, prove it to me!

After seeing such a large orchard full of fruits today, the Purrloin was finally sure that he would never have to go hungry again!

Seeing the greedy look of the Purrloin, the Leavanny smiled and said, "These fruits are not all for eating. Most of them will be sold for money. But you don't have to worry about eating. As long as you behave well, the boss will definitely let you eat your fill."

Seeing that Purrloin didn't seem to believe it, the Leavanny told it and the three Ghost-type Pokémon about its past with Vileplume.

Purrloin and the three Ghost-type Pokémon were very surprised after hearing this. They originally thought that the Leavanny and the others were Pokémon that had followed Eddie since the beginning, but they didn't expect that the Leavanny were also taken in by Eddie.

The Leavanny also told the Purrloin about the benefits of working here. Not only are there free food and accommodation, but they also have pocket money and get a good health check-up from time to time. Their lives are simply as happy as those of gods!

Listening to the Leavanny telling bit by bit about their wonderful life on Mystic Mountain, the Purrloin finally began to let down its guard, and the three ghost Pokémon finally stopped being anxious.

Since so many Pokémon can live well here, there is no reason why they can't.

While everyone was busy, the idle Helioptile sneaked down the mountain with some fruits.

Eddie was busy for most of the day and finally agreed on the delivery time for the fruit trees that he had agreed with his friend. He also made a video call with the owner of the Evergreen Tree Breeding House to discuss future cooperation matters in detail.

After finishing all these, it was already noon, and Eddie left Conner at home to have lunch.

But when he was eating, he saw that Helioptile was not there, so he asked Brionne in confusion: "Why didn't Helioptile come back for lunch?"

Brionne stuffed the energy cube into its mouth and replied, "How should I know? It's definitely not hungry. It will come back on its own when it gets hungry."

Eddie looked at Selene and Larvitar again, and the two Pokémon shook their heads at the same time to indicate that they didn't know.

Is it going to meet its wild Pokémon friend again?

Eddie thought about it and didn't take it seriously. It wasn't the first time anyway, and the Helioptile would come back by itself when the time came.

Eddie knew a little about the fact that Helioptile had made a wild Pokémon friend at the foot of the mountain. He also knew that Helioptile would occasionally bring a few Berries or unripe fruits cut from the trees to help that friend, but he didn't take it to heart.

In the afternoon, Amber and Fiona had agreed to visit the orchard, so he said hello to Conner and prepared to go out to pick them up.

When Conner learned that Eddie had friends coming to visit, he wanted to say goodbye and leave immediately, but was stopped by Eddie.

Eddie knew his situation and knew that he didn't want to stay at home, so he asked him to read and study with peace of mind. Conner thought about it and decided to take his Pokémon to the mountains for special training.

Eddie himself rode Captain Talonflame to the Pokémon Center in the West District.
