In the mystical realm of Aethoria, dark forces threaten the balance of power. Lyra, a young woman without the distinctive birthmark on her forehead, discovers she possesses a rare ability. According to legend, many powerful kings and warriors have attempted to save the realm by retrieving a stolen artifact – a small box with Bermuda triangle shapes at each end, rumored to hold immense power.
Aethoria's destiny now lies in Lyra's hands. Born withoutthe birthmark, Lyra has been living in secret, using temporary ink to conceal her difference. One day, while hunting with friends, they're attacked by a mysterious entity that kills everyone except Lyra. The entity, a demon, offers Lyra a deal: join the Shadow Kingdom and gain power. Lyra refuses, and the demon kills her – or so she thinks.
Lyra awakens an hour later, only to be accused to of murder by Aethorian warriors. As she's about to be executed at the ancient temple, the Sorcerer of Aethoria intervenes, revealing that Lyra possesses a unique power: copying others' abilities and reviving within an hour if killed by a demon, Aethorian, or god.
The Sorcerer takes Lyra to his lab, where a glowing sword has lain dormant for 5,000 years. When Lyra touches the sword, it transfers its power to her. Now, Lyra must find a mentor to guide her in mastering her newfound abilities and navigating the complex world of aethoria.
