The World of Soul Land
The story takes place on the Douluo Continent, a vast world where there are no martial arts, no magic, and no immortal cultivation as seen in other realms. Instead, spirit power reigns supreme, and the destiny of individuals is bound to their Martial Spirits.
At the heart of this world lies the belief:
"Everyone possesses a spirit. Few possess the talent to cultivate it. Fewer still stand at the top."
There are three major powers that dominate the continent:
The Spirit Hall – A powerful and feared religious and military organization that seeks to unify the continent under its banner.
Heaven Dou Empire – One of the two major human empires, located in the north.
Star Luo Empire – The rival empire in the south, known for its martial traditions.
Scattered throughout the continent are countless spirit beasts, mystical creatures born of the world's energy. They hold the power that spirit masters seek—and sometimes must slay.
What is a Martial Spirit?
Upon reaching the age of six, every child undergoes a Spirit Awakening Ceremony. During this ritual, their Martial Spirit—a spiritual extension of themselves—is revealed.
A Martial Spirit can be:
Tool-type, such as a hammer, sword, fan, or even a cooking pot.
Beast-type, like wolves, phoenixes, or rabbits.
Some spirits are common and weak, while others are ancient bloodline spirits passed through powerful clans.
Having a Martial Spirit does not guarantee greatness. Only those with innate spirit power can cultivate their spirit and become Spirit Masters.

To break through to each new stage, spirit masters must absorb Spirit Rings, which they obtain by hunting spirit beasts.

Absorbing higher-age rings increases risk. Normal humans cannot absorb red rings without special talent, technique, or body constitution.
❗️Fun Fact: Xiao Wu and her mother, Ah Rou, are both 100,000-year-old spirit beasts in human form, called "transformed spirit beasts." If discovered, they face mortal danger, as their rings and soul bones are priceless.
Spirit Bones – The Hidden Treasure
When a spirit beast is slain, there is a small chance it will leave behind a Spirit Bone—a crystallized essence that grants its bearer permanent power.
Types of spirit bones:
Head
Torso
Left Arm
Right Arm
Left Leg
Right Leg
External Bone (rare and unique—e.g., wings, tails)
Spirit Bones can evolve and grow stronger, and are often more valuable than spirit rings themselves.
Godhood and Ascension
Once a spirit master reaches Level 100, they must pass Divine Trials to become a God. Each god has a unique inheritance, personality, and domain of power.
Famous gods include:
Sea God (Poseidon)
Angel God
Rakshasa God
Asura God
God of Destruction
These beings reside in the Divine Realm, a higher plane inaccessible to mortals. Gods often select successors and grant their legacies across generations.
💡 Bibi Dong (Supreme Pontiff) inherits the Rakshasa God's legacy—associated with cruelty, judgment, and wrath.
💡 Qian Renxue becomes the Angel God, a beacon of light and divine power.
The Era Before the Fall
Before the events of my story, the continent stood on a delicate balance:
Spirit Hall, under Bibi Dong, grew stronger and sought continental unification.
Xiao Wu lived peacefully in the Star Dou Forest with her mother, hiding her identity.
Qian Renxue, masquerading in the Heaven Dou Empire, walked a lonely path of deception, waiting to inherit the divine Angelic power.
