Min-ho suppressed an ironic grin. He wanted to get angry for what she had said, but a couple of hours prior, he was no different.
Pushing all of these thoughts aside, Min-ho decided to ask what was on his mind.
"What did you tell our supposed team to get them to join us… me… whatever this is."
Savior contemplated.
"The truth," she said.
"And what is the truth?" he asked, feeling a great sense of curiosity at this moment.
Savior lifted her gaze, peering at the architecture of the temple.
She found it mesmerizing how beautiful much of it was despite being in ruins.
The hallway they were traversing was filled with massive statues on each corner, albeit broken, but might nonetheless.
The strange glowing crystals that lined the walls were each of a different design, sometimes they even ran up the statues, making them glow in an ethereal sense.
She turned her sights to the roof, and couldn't believe how detailed the mural that covered its entirety was.
"The truth is that you will be vital to our survival, just as we will be to yours," Savior said, her gaze still on the roof.
"I brought together everyone I had seen in my visions. Our morals align and our Affinities all complement each other's,"
Min-ho's heart thudded as a realization struck him.
"You know of everyone's Affinity then? Including mine... how much do you know about me?"
Savior paused, standing still as she contemplated.
"Not much, just a few bits and pieces about what you will do in this world."
"But you do know about my Affinity," Min-ho asked, clenching his fist.
Savior turned to face him. She kept her gaze locked on his, not wavering even once.
"I know it's not the most comforting thing being told someone knows things about you that you wouldn't give up so easily, but that's just our reality right now. I want you to know that I'm not here to harm you or betray you."
"I need you, I've made that much plain from the beginning. And you may not know it yet, but you need me, you need them. Let's help each other accomplish our goals, then after this…" she paused, faltering her gaze, "we can go our separate ways."
Min-ho remained quiet, trying to soak in everything she had just said.
She didn't seem to be lying, but there was no way he could know for sure.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Min-ho made his way forward, then he said, "I see."
He led the way forward, while Savior followed behind him.
They walked for several seconds in silence before Min-ho decided to break the silence.
"How... does your Affinity work?" he asked, unsure if he would get a proper answer to his question.
Savior hesitated.
"I can see glimpses into the future. Sometimes they are vague, sometimes they are very clear. But one thing always remains constant, I could never tell when or where they would take place," Savior explained to Min-ho's surprise.
"I see," he said. "What about those involving me, what did you see?"
He pressed his luck.
Savior hesitated once again.
"Half of them have been vague, the other half have been somewhat clear," Savior responded, obviously dodging the question.
"Right," he said, then a thought came to mind. "What about those of this world, do you know what challenges we will be fighting, so we can prepare ahead of time?" Min-ho asked with an eagerness in his tone.
He turned to face her, but she shook her head.
"Thought so," Min-ho said, sighing in annoyance.
'It's never that easy,' he thought, before running out of questions.
He focused on his walk through the massive temple, wishing it wasn't so damn big.
As they continued on their walk, they had passed by several spaces in which Z-Streamers made their quarters. At times it was a worship center, other times it was an empty hall.
They seemed to gather in groups, just like Min-ho's team, with some taking watch while others were fast asleep.
When they turned a corner, they came into an enormous library covered in shelves filled with books galore.
Walking in, Min-ho picked up one of the books on the floor without stopping.
When he opened it, he grimaced when he saw pages filled with words he could not understand. But the writings were similar to those glowing ones on the handle.
He flipped through the pages, admiring the words written along with occasional illustrations.
Though he wished he could understand the text, he accepted the reality that he couldn't and gently placed the book into one of the shelves they passed.
"Long way to get to a latrine," Min-ho said, but before he was allowed to get a response from Savior, the sound of laughter and sprinting echoed near them.
Suddenly on his guard, he paused and took a defensive stance, readying himself to summon his dagger.
Just then, a girl ran out from behind one of the shelves.
Seeing her, Min-ho's eyes widened when he saw she was stark naked, running past him and laughing without even giving him a second glance.
"Where is she?" a man's voice bellowed.
"I saw her run that way," another voice said.
Suddenly, three men equally donning nothing ran out from behind one of the shelves, chasing after the girl, looks of pleasure written all over their faces.
They ran past Min-ho and Savior, acting as though they didn't even exist.
Seeing them, Min-ho did not know exactly how to feel. Yet he couldn't help but envy the number of views above their Z-Eyes, each one boasting numbers between 60 - 80.
As he stood frozen, Savior walked past him. She was tense and anger could be felt radiating off her.
Her behavior painted a clear picture about how she felt about such things.
Min-ho turned to the direction the girl and three men ran to.
'I can understand why they were doing it, but I can never approve of it,' he shook his head as he thought, then he turned back and continued to follow Savior.
A quarter hour had gone by before they came to a stop, they stood in the middle of an empty hall with a roof that stretched very high.
Yet at its peak, there was no roof, so Min-ho could see the night's skies.
The stars that littered the darkness were similar to those of their world. Yet they were different because they glowed a different color each time they twinkled, and they also visibly swerved around the sky.
Looking down, Min-ho saw Savior walk to the middle of the room.
She bent low and began to clean out the dust on the floor.
Just as he was about to ask what she was doing, a light surfaced from the spot cleaned and traced lines that ran across the ground they stood on.
Before he knew it, a mechanical sound emanated and the ground began to quake.
