Jayden progressed back home, wondering what he would use the Wealth Point he gained for. The system only told him how he could obtain a Wealth Point and didn't reveal the uses, so Jayden needed to know at this point.
"What are Wealth Points used for?" He had to ask that way.
> [Randomly unlocking a Skill, which would help you grow and add great privileges to your main mission. You can actually exchange a Wealth Point for attributes... Every Wealth Point contains 10 attribute points, and you can distribute them as you want on your attributes.]
> [The last use of Wealth Points is for unlocking Assets. One Wealth Point can be used to get one asset, and in some cases, more than one Wealth Point can be used to obtain one asset... It depends on the levels of the assets.]
Jayden's eyes blinked in curiosity.
"So, you mean I can just suddenly own a company with Wealth Points?" Jayden asked.
> [Any assets at all... Though there are levels that would require more Wealth Points than the others.]
Jayden nodded. "Got it. I see that not being a problem since I'd keep completing the tasks."
After taking a deep breath, Jayden ended up making a decision.
"I want to use the Wealth Point," he said.
> [Sure. You can.]
"How do I use it?" Jayden questioned as he scrolled down the interface.
> [Simple. I'd show you all assets that cost 1 Wealth Point to make it easier than guessing, or else you have something in mind that wouldn't exceed the 1 WP cost.]
Jayden bit his lip and hesitated for a moment.
"Never mind, go on and show me," he replied.
[Assets cost 1 WP]
[A New Audi Car. (Tap to see)]
[An iPhone 24 Pro Max. (Tap to see)]
[A motel in the lousy part of the city, going bankrupt. (Tap to see)]
[An undervalued land five hundred meters away from the main city. (Tap to see)]
[A duplex that needs thorough renovation. (Tap to see)]
[A...]
"I think I have a choice," Jayden cut in.
> [Name it.]
"The undervalued land," Jayden responded.
While the system was making more mentions, Jayden had tapped on the "tap to see" icons to study the full information about every asset.
Many had caught his attention, but one had stood out, and it was the undervalued land.
The system went ahead to reveal the full information again so Jayden could reread it before making the final confirmation.
> [The undervalued land is located at Green Lake, about two hundred meters away from the New Wiston to Paramount highway. There are rumors that the government is planning on building a four-lane railway on the site, and it is more likely to happen than not.]
[Size: 30 plots (Judging by the affordability of the 1 WP.)]
Jayden smiled.
This was actually what he had decided to go for... He believed that since the government would be constructing railways, which would definitely boost the liveliness and development of that site, he could actually make a lot of money when that time comes.
Think of having to sell thirty plots of land on a site that had the route of New Wiston to Paramount.
New Wiston is the state Cloudbridge City is located in, and Paramount State was the neighboring state which had had good business histories with New Wiston.
There have been many ways of transportation to Paramount, but rail transport had never been one of them. This was due to the balance of the means they had, and at that time, the rate of transportation wasn't very high. Now that the world was growing and rapid development was taking place, it was becoming more intense.
Jayden knew that very soon, when the railways are constructed, there would be rapid development around, and many organizations would want to establish their businesses nearby.
It would be a good site, and he would make millions from it when the value of the land skyrockets.
As of now, the land was as cheap as $600 per plot—or so he guessed—due to being in a very closed part of the countryside. No one would even spare it a glance, much less take interest in it.
[Are you sure you want to use the 1 WP to collect this asset?]
[Yes] or [No]
The system inquired for the last time.
"Yes," Jayden nodded with confidence as he smashed the "yes" tab.
[Asset unlock completed!]
[You have used 1 Wealth Point to unlock an asset.]
[Congratulations, you have gained an asset!]
Jayden stared at the interface as he smiled, but he was still curious to see how this would work—because for sure, there would be some people in charge of the land, right?
Just while he thought about this, his phone suddenly beeped.
He picked up, his tone calm but curious.
"Hello, Jayden speaking."
"Good afternoon, Mr. Jayden Cole. This is Richard Graves from Atlas Estates. I'm pleased to inform you that the transaction has been successfully completed."
A smooth, professional voice came through the line.
Jayden leaned back slightly. "Transaction?"
"Yes, sir," Richard continued. "The thirty plots of land you acquired at Green Lake, each valued at six hundred dollars, have all been officially secured in your name. The total value is eighteen thousand dollars, but as per our system's priority access, the acquisition was finalized under your exclusive bidding rights."
Jayden glanced at the system prompt still glowing faintly on his screen. Just one Wealth Point, and now he owned enough land to build a small district if he wanted.
The main point of his awe was how the system suddenly secured the deal when he was actually never in the Atlast Estates office.
However, Jayden had to tame his curiosity after remembering that the same system actually transferred money to his bank account from nowhere without the bank querying him. What should be worse than that?
"Understood," he said, nodding. "Are the documents ready?"
"Absolutely, sir. The digital certificates and land registry files have been emailed to you. Hard copies are already being couriered to your preferred address. And, if I may add, well played, Mr. Cole. That area might look barren now, but with the city's upcoming infrastructure plans, it's bound to become a prime zone."
Jayden's lips curled into a subtle smile.
"Thank you, Mr. Graves. Please keep me updated on any relevant developments."
"Of course, sir. Congratulations once again."
Beep.
The call ended.
"Of course I know what I did," Jayden said and rolled his eyes delightedly.
After the long day from the café to the auction, it was best that he rest since he'd be heading to lectures the next day.
It was their final year in Sky High University, and every moment must be taken seriously in order to come out in flying colors.
This was one of Jayden's aims from the very beginning and till now... Though now, he was transforming to become a more powerful and wealthy youngster, and that had made things better.
Now, he couldn't just wait to graduate from that damned campus and pursue his dreams.
However, there was something he would have to do in the process...
"Begin my game of revenge."
"Every single figure who contributed to the pain and downfall of the Cole Family. Every figure that betrayed me after all I'd done for them..."
"All of them..."
"They'll all pay!"
