Jayden squirted repeatedly as he stared at the interface.
> [Don't try to act like you don't like it, host. I can see your mind clearly.]
The system shunned Jayden immediately, and he stood silent for a moment. A while later, he couldn't hold back the smile on his face anymore as his cheeks widened.
It was clear Jayden would enjoy bagging a whole lot of women and watching their affection for him grow. He believed just making and spending money wouldn't be completely perfect...
Spending money without women was totally boring...
> [Good one. That's the kind of smile I want to see, host.]
The system reacted to Jayden's innocent-free smile, and Jayden couldn't help but grin even more.
...…
Soon, he stepped out of the café and walked to the parking lot of the Faculty of Business building. It was then that Jayden began to feel a throbbing pain in his head and back.
His body ached in several places, and his left shoulder still twitched from time to time. He had brushed it off these past few days, but now… now it was getting harder to ignore.
He winced, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Shit," he muttered under his breath. "I didn't even get real treatment after those thugs roughed me up."
The memory hit him all at once... Those faceless bastards who'd attacked him outside the apartment building before the Infinite Wealth System had appeared. Between the adrenaline, money, and sudden status, he hadn't even thought about healing properly...
He knew he wasn't doing himself any good and needed to take his life seriously. Now that he actually had something to live for, unlike before, he couldn't afford to take his health as a joke.
Jayden knew he needed to visit the infirmary.
Approaching the parking lot, Jayden overheard a group of students—two guys and a girl—chatting by a vending machine not far from the lot.
"…Yeah, the auction's happening at Arcadia Lounge. The one near Palm Avenue," one of the guys whispered excitedly. "Word is, some big shots are attending."
"Not just big shots. I heard the Holt Corporation's head of acquisitions is gonna be there. And maybe… you know… the old war tycoon from New Bastion? The one everyone says is Luka Vane's uncle?" the girl added.
Jayden slowed his steps, casually leaning against a nearby pillar as though scrolling through his phone. But his ears caught every word.
"That's not even the half of it," the second guy said. "Someone told me Mr. Jordan, the head of the rising Billy Billy Group, is showing up too. That means money is going to rain."
He noticed the huge excitement from the students, their eyes filled with impatience and anticipation. But this wasn't amongst his concerns at all…
He nodded to himself. He had heard what he needed to hear.
'Arcadia Lounge. Auction night. Wednesday,' he mentally noted, entered his car, and cruised off.
The university's infirmary wasn't far from the Faculty of Business building. In fact, there were more than one infirmary on campus, to ensure sufficient attendance at any time. Jayden, however, visited the one most distant from his faculty...
This was actually because he didn't want any of his mates to know he wasn't feeling well.
Reaching the Sector 3 Infirmary, he stepped down from his car and walked in. The hallway smelled faintly of antiseptic and something citrusy, probably some weak air freshener. He signed in and was told to wait for his nurse, who was apparently a newly employed figure.
When the door opened, Jayden's brows rose ever so slightly, his eyes broadening as they went lost on a particular view.
The nurse who stepped in had curves that made his head ache in new places.
Her tight-fitting uniform hugged her like a second skin, accentuating full, round hips and a bust that tested the limits of her buttons. Her chocolate-toned skin glowed, and her afro puffed beautifully around her high cheekbones. She looked mid-twenties, young enough to be mistaken for a senior student but carried the air of someone who knew how to take control.
"Jayden Cole?" she asked, her voice smooth, rich, almost like silk wrapped around honey.
"Ahem..." He cleared his throat. "That's me."
"Alright, hop up. You're here for a check-up?"
"Yeah, just some headaches and body pains. I got roughed up a few days back… never really got checked. I want some medications too," Jayden replied.
The nurse hummed and began her work, placing the BP cuff on his arm, a sudden, unique heat approaching Jayden's body at that instant.
As she leaned closer, her breasts brushed slightly against his shoulder. Jayden stiffened, his heartbeat racing faster than he expected.
He'd swear that he felt her nipple stabbing him.
"I'll pretend I didn't notice that spike," she smirked playfully, reading his numbers. "You nervous around medical professionals or just easily distracted?"
Jayden smirked back. "Let's just say you're not what I expected from a nurse."
She rolled her eyes but smiled, tightening her grab on his arm. "Flirtation won't lower your blood pressure, Mr. Cole."
"Worth a try," he replied with a wink, giving the sexy nurse a piercing look right after.
She chuckled. "You're good physically. Nothing too serious. I'll give you some drugs to take, but you should rest more. Maybe avoid stress."
"Hard to do when you've got rich enemies who want to see you suffer," Jayden smiled as he slightly shook his head.
The nurse blinked. "Ah… there are always enemies everywhere..."
"Well, try not to get jumped again. I'd hate to see your pretty face bruised up."
At that moment, their eyes lingered longer than necessary. Her hand was still on his wrist, monitoring his pulse, but neither of them moved.
Soon, the nurse was done with the check-up. She removed the cuff and went ahead to bring some medicines. They were two caplets—blue and red—and she handed them to him.
Jayden collected them with a smile across his face. "Thanks a bunch."
Then in the next moment, a sudden thought flashed in as he cleared his throat. "So, uh… just in case I start seeing stars again. Got a number I can call for emergencies?"
The nurse gave him a knowing smile, then scribbled her number on a small notepad and handed it to him. "Only for emergencies, Mr. Cole."
"Of course," Jayden nodded and typed down the number.
"Nurse Temi," the nurse added, and Jayden made no foolish mistake not to save it.
With that, he left the infirmary. Immediately after he stepped out, he heard the system sound in his head like a bell.

Jayden paused mid-step as his eyes lit up.
"What the hell, System?" he muttered. "I just came in for a check-up."
> [Host's growing charm gradually exceeds baseline predictions. Additional encounters may increase success rate.]
Jayden sighed, but a slow grin crept across his face. His expression was more than complex at this point.
"Harem Feature, huh? Guess I really am dangerous."
As he walked back to the McLaren and slid into the driver's seat, Jayden's mind wasn't just on Temi Grace, Camillia Frost, or even the interesting task of establishing his first local business.
His sights were now set on Wednesday's auction. It was time to enter the lions' den, and this time, he wouldn't be some underdog…
He'd be the storm.
