Chapter 365 - Upheaval

Galen re-established his role and authority as the leader of the team, which was approved by everyone except Illidan. In the end, Illidan had no choice but to compromise and agree to temporarily obey Galen's command.

"Ahead is the Garden of Light. The high elf mages have set up twelve small portals through which the Burning Legion's demon army is entering this world."

This information was gathered by Galen while working undercover. After all, besides clocking in and slacking off at Gar'halah every day, he did a good job of gathering intelligence.

"As long as we destroy the core crystals of these portals, we can destroy them and cut off the Burning Legion's army's entry into Kalimdor."

After Galen finished speaking, everyone nodded, indicating their understanding. Among them, Illidan, as a night elf who had received Sargeras' fel energy blessing, understood what these portals meant even more!

Sargeras personally injected powerful energy into Illidan through the portal. This power not only burned his eyes but also made Illidan aware of a desperate fact: the legion attacking Azeroth was just a drop in the ocean. In the countless shattered worlds of the Twisting Nether, there were even more countless, hungry demon armies.

What's even more terrifying is that demons cannot be killed outside the Twisting Nether. Their souls will return to the Nether and quickly reassemble a body. The only fortunate thing is that even Sargeras cannot break the barrier protecting Azeroth and can only build portals by finding weak spots in space!

The plan is simple, in short: close the door and beat the dog.

"However, the Garden of Light ahead is where the portals are located. With just our manpower, rushing in will only get us drowned by the tide of demons, so..."

Galen took out a few potions.

"Next, we will sneak in secretly. These invisibility potions will allow us to enter stealth."

The invisibility potions were distributed, and the group quietly bypassed the demons on the road and quickly entered the Garden of Light.

The scene here stunned Malfurion and Tyrande. Twelve demon squads were packed tightly together. The Burning Legion's demon soldiers were basically shoulder to shoulder, constantly pouring out of the palace!

"...We must fight side by side to have a chance of winning!" Illidan took a deep breath, "Malfurion, I'm talking about you. I personally saw a guard demon slaughter hundreds of elves!"

Malfurion nodded. The experiences of the past year had matured him a lot.

Soon, they stepped into the courtyard!

At this moment, a roar came from the center of the courtyard: "They are nearby, hiding in the shadows! I can feel it!"

Galen took a closer look and found the face somewhat familiar.

It was Peroth'arn, an experienced high elf mage. It seemed that he, like Xavius, had chosen to change his appearance in exchange for greater power!

After Galen disappeared and Xavius was turned into a tree by Malfurion, Peroth'arn took over their work, cooperating with Mannoroth to maintain the portals!

Peroth'arn shouted "Guards! Defend the door here, and the rest stay to protect the courtyard!"

This high elf turned satyr had also become stronger, able to detect Galen's arrival!

"Illidan, I can let you lead the charge, but don't disappoint us!"

Hehe, you used to say these words all the time. Today, I will return them to you!

"No problem, my glaives thirst for blood! Let's move out, destroy the crystals, and close the portals sooner rather than later!"

Illidan was already excited at this moment. It was time to prove himself!

This kid took the lead, sneaking towards the portal crystals, targeting the demons guarding the portals.

Soon, the demons stationed at the first portal were slaughtered by Illidan.

"Who closed the portal? Cunning vermin!"

Illidan continued to kill, while Galen and the others were responsible for disposing of the bodies, hoping they could continue to persevere until all the demons were cleared.

"Quick! Demon guards, go check it out!"

Peroth'arn sensed that the energy of the portals they established under Xavius's leadership was disappearing. In just a few minutes, three portals had lost their ability to transmit and no longer had new demons appearing!

"Damn it! Humble vermin!"

Galen and the others would not be deterred by Peroth'arn's whining and quickly destroyed the portal crystals!

"Ah! Ah! Ah!"

This satyr vented his inner rage in the center of the Garden of Light!

"No mortal can escape from my hands!"

"Pfft!"

Peroth'arn's words had just fallen when a long sword pierced his heart.

The villain died because he talked too much. Galen had long been unable to stand his bluster. At this moment, they had just destroyed all twelve portal crystals. Galen couldn't resist and ambushed him from behind.

Peroth'arn's body was struck by lightning, and a mouthful of blood spurted from his mouth!

"Pfft!" Another weapon pierced his back, penetrating his chest. Peroth'arn struggled to look down and saw a verdant weapon had critically wounded him a second time!

Illidan said with a sneer, "The hunter has become the hunted!"

He casually threw the satyr's corpse on the ground, and they continued forward.

Outside the city, the rebel army's offensive was difficult but steadily advancing.

The demons were also fighting fearlessly. Doomguards gathered in groups around the dragons, looking for every opportunity to inflict damage on these massive enemies with their spears.

Archimonde was still full of confidence.

Soon!

Today!

The master is coming to this world!

Once Sargeras arrives here, it will all be over. No one can resist the master's footsteps or disobey the master's will!

He knew that the battle here was only to keep the mortals and dragons busy, and the first thing the master would do after arriving was to punish him and Mannoroth.

A red dragon breathing dragon breath was noticed by Archimonde. He stretched out his palm and made a fist.

The dragon suddenly began to tremble, and then all his scales peeled off. Blood spurted out from all over his body!

A terrified howl came from outside the city, and the dragon crashed into the demon guards. The demons immediately swarmed towards the unprotected dragon, frantically hacking at him.

After several attacks, the red dragon, green dragon, and bronze dragon were unable to withstand his attacks. Alexstrasza and Ysera had to choose to take action personally!

In the sky, the dragons roared incessantly. Alexstrasza and Ysera beat their enormous wings, diving towards Archimonde from above.

Dragon breath, imbued with the fire of life and the power of dreams, spewed forth, the heat of the flames distorting the very air!

Archimonde, who had been toying with an adult red dragon, had no choice but to abandon his attack and fully confront the two dragon guardians!

However, the two Dragon Aspects were incredibly fast. Archimonde dodged the dragon breath but couldn't evade the dragons' sharp teeth and claws!

Red Dragon Queen Alexstrasza and Green Dragon Queen Ysera flashed a hint of surprise in their enormous dragon eyes. If they could manage to grab or bite him, they were confident they could inject Titan power into Archimonde, severely injuring this commander of the Burning Legion!

Unfortunately, Alexstrasza and Ysera celebrated too early. Just as they were only ten meters away from Archimonde, the commander of the Burning Legion raised his hands, and magic converged, a gust of wind sweeping the two Dragon Aspects head over heels in the air.

The warriors on both sides directly in front of Archimonde were swept aside, as if they were merely insignificant duckweed. Even the heavier tauren and nightsabers were blown off their feet.

Alexstrasza and Ysera exchanged a glance in the air, unable to suppress the astonishment in their eyes. Their sure-hit attack had been so easily defused by Archimonde!

Subsequently, the two Dragon Aspects, with solemn expressions, flapped their wings again, circling above Archimonde, trying to find another opportunity to attack!

On the ground, night elves, tauren, earthen, and furbolgs, led by Huln Highmountain and Durendgard, had been fighting deep into the enemy ranks. A team of priestesses of Elune rode nightsabers, charging alongside them.

Huln, relying on his immense strength, wielded the Eagle Spear in his hand, cleaving down two demons in front of him. One's head flew off, and the other's chest split in two. Then, he thrust his head forward, and the unique horns on his head ripped open the third demon's abdomen!

Huln led the Highmountain tribe, Rivermane tribe, Skyhorn tribe, and Bloodtotem tribe, forming a powerful fighting force that had repeatedly assisted Cenarius in the fight against the Burning Legion. Not long ago, Cenarius had blessed them with the blessings of nature in gratitude.

The unusual horns of these tauren were proof of this blessing. They were different from ordinary sharp horns, resembling more the antlers of a moose!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

More than a dozen infernals fell from the sky, smashing heavily into Huln's group, sending dirt flying everywhere. Several night elf warriors and tauren were caught off guard and crushed into mincemeat on the spot.

The moment the infernals crawled out of the crater, a burst of green flames erupted from their bodies!

The resistance fighters who were very close to where the infernals landed were burned by the flames, and severe burns instantly appeared on their bodies, as if some kind of poisonous acid had been poured on them. The night elves' hair and the tauren's mane smoked directly, and flesh and skin melted, peeling off in chunks.

Even the earthen dwarves who were touched by the flames turned red all over, scaring them into quickly fleeing the infernals' attack range!

The priestesses of the moon behind immediately stepped forward, doing their best to treat the wounded, but a large group of doomguards also pounced on the priestesses at the front line at this time.

The leader of this team of priestesses of the moon was Maeve Shadowsong, the sister of Jarod, the current leader of the resistance. Always eager to compete for the position of high priestess of Elune, she tried to prove herself to her sisters when Tyrande left, hoping that they could correct their mistake of choosing Tyrande and re-elect her as the high priestess.

Maeve was no weakling. The moon glaive in her hand was wielded with superb skill. Several demons rushing in the front were instantly beheaded by her, and Huln Highmountain also reacted, leading people to charge back, smashing the group of infernals and stabilizing the front line again.

Subsequently, the members of the dragonflights also followed up. The two sides worked together, the sky and the ground coordinated, and they attacked the Burning Legion with overwhelming force.

But the demons were also fighting fearlessly, and more demons poured out of the city. Doomguards with wings who could fly gathered in groups around the dragons, trying to knock the dragons out of the sky.

The two sides once again entered a stalemate.

On the other hand, after closing those small portals and solving Peroth'arn, who managed the Court of Light, they bypassed the Eternal Palace and entered Galharra from the small path Galen had previously gotten into the habit of taking!

The Well of Eternity was very huge, but the moment Galen and the others entered Galharra, they saw the Demon Soul floating almost motionless in the air above the black portal opened in the Great Vortex.

An evil black halo surrounded it. The violent magic storm seemed to have no effect on it.

Illidan looked up at the portal and turned to ask his brother, "Can you close this portal? Brother."

Malfurion carefully observed the portal. Compared to the one he closed for the first time, the rift created by this portal was even larger.

"I can try, but now it is being protected by the will of a powerful demon! I can't destroy his will alone."

"It's Mannoroth, a demigod-level pit lord," Galen interjected, stating the information he knew.

When Illidan heard that Mannoroth was a demigod, he was eager to try. "So that big-ass is a demigod. When I pretended to join Sargeras before, he was suspicious of me, which almost got me killed. Then let me help you destroy his will!"

Illidan was full of confidence. Since Sargeras gave him a unique power and gave him a different vision, he had seized this weapon called Warglaives of Azzinoth from a demon, instantly making his strength skyrocket.

Now that Illidan held the Warglaives of Azzinoth, divided into main and off-hand weapons, in both hands, he felt like a complete man!

His confidence swelled unprecedentedly!

Trying to challenge the power of a demigod!

"Be careful, Illidan. The demons must have been prepared. I sense that the forest ahead is full of demons!"

Tyrande couldn't help but remind him when she saw that Illidan was a little careless.

"Hmph! Then let them come!"

Illidan's mood suddenly turned bad after being reminded by Tyrande. He felt that Tyrande had embarrassed him in front of Malfurion and Galen!

Especially Broxigar, whose mouth was already upturned at this time, which Illidan happened to catch!

Illidan rushed out, carrying the Warglaives of Azzinoth.

Heh!

Broxigar sneered, "So sensitive."

Then he glanced at Galen.

After seeing Galen nod, this strong orc also followed closely with his oak axe. Today, he would compete with Illidan to see who was stronger!

"Mother Moon, please guide us out of this darkness!"

Seeing that the two had already rushed out, Tyrande could only urgently launch a prayer. Then, several rays of light descended from the sky, enveloping Tyrande and the people around her, including Illidan and Broxigar who had rushed out.

Galen only felt a warm current flowing through his body. He had received "Elune's Blessing!"

No one would dislike having too many buffs on their body!

Galen also did not transform into a bear form. He directly took out two greatswords, ready to start hacking.

In the forest ahead of the Galharra Fortress, a mage-turned-incomplete Demon Hunter who seemed to dual-wield Vengeance and Havoc, a warrior dual-wielding orcish weapons, and lastly, Galen, who used a Fury Warrior fighting style despite having several other professions, began their demon-slaying competition.

Behind them, Malfurion had ceased casting spells and was conserving his energy, while the Windrunner sisters and Tyrande were fully alert, watching for any signs of movement to prevent stray demons from approaching.

Just as Galen and the others were slaughtering demons left and right, a change occurred above the Well of Eternity!

A deafening roar echoed from the clouds, its sound even reaching the front lines and overpowering the clamor of the battlefield.

Then, to Tyrande's horror, a massive black dragon plummeted from the stormy clouds high above.

This black dragon's eyes were bloodshot, and its ribs were clad in iron armor. With its enormous wings spread wide, it blotted out the sun as it beat its wings and charged straight towards the golden disc floating above the Well of Eternity: the Dragon Soul!

It was Deathwing the Destroyer!

"Did you think that just because you stole my beloved creation, I would never find it again?"

"Did you really believe that I wouldn't discover the location of my treasure?"

"Your audacity has angered the great Deathwing!"

The Black Dragon Aspect was clearly in a state of madness, roaring furiously as he dove towards the Dragon Soul above the Well of Eternity.

The arrival of Deathwing changed the situation once again, at least for Archimonde, who was currently confronting Alexstrasza the Life-Binder and Ysera the Dreamer!

He noticed the absence of several key figures among the resistance: the druid he had failed to kill multiple times, the priestess favored by Elune, and the cunning Highborne traitor who was wreaking havoc on the battlefield!

He knew they had infiltrated Zin-Azshari and were heading to the Well of Eternity, but he was confident that they wouldn't cause any real trouble.

Once Sargeras emerged from the portal, the druid, the priestess, and the traitor would face a fate far more terrible than Archimonde could imagine.

However, the addition of the black dragon to the battle made Archimonde uneasy!

That was a top-tier combatant on this planet, with an aura even stronger than those two annoying gnats above him, and that giant white stag whose neck he had snapped!

If that black dragon destroyed the portal, Archimonde knew that he and Mannoroth would be punished for their failure.

Thus, the commander of the Burning Legion attempted to retreat, seeking an opportunity to rejoin Mannoroth and protect the portal!

Alexstrasza and Ysera were not fools either, quickly flying to Archimonde's side to block his retreat!

Although the two Dragon Aspects were filled with anger towards Deathwing, who had betrayed the dragonflights, his arrival was timely. As long as they could drive out the Burning Legion, they wouldn't mind delaying the judgment of the black dragons!

Deathwing approached the artifact he had longed for, but just as he was about to reach out and grab the Dragon Soul, black light emanated from the golden disc, blasting the Black Dragon Aspect away!

Deathwing shook his dazed head in mid-air, preparing to try again when whispers echoed in his mind, urging him to stay away from the golden disc!

Deathwing still didn't realize that he was being manipulated. His desire for the Dragon Soul made him shake his head again, banishing the annoying whispers from his mind.

His thinking was simple. Those whispers had previously told him how to create the Dragon Soul, a powerful artifact, making him believe they were still trustworthy.

If they tried to stop him from taking the treasure, then they were as untrustworthy as Alexstrasza and the other dragons.

No matter what, nothing could stop Deathwing from reclaiming the Dragon Soul—nothing at all.

The black dragon lunged forward once more.

But just like before, he was blasted away by the black light emanating from the Dragon Soul!

Roar!

Deathwing's temper flared, and he let out a roar mixed with anger and pain.

While slaying the demons in his path, Galen kept an eye on the sky. Perhaps the insane and chaotic Deathwing didn't know what that black light was, but as a paladin, he had already sensed the chaotic and evil Void energy within it!

It was the power of the Old Gods!

Clearly, Deathwing had been corrupted by the Old Gods when he forged the disc.

And the power infused by the other four Dragon Aspects, after being tricked by the Black Dragon Aspect, didn't hinder the Old Gods from manipulating the disc in any way. Instead, the Old Gods were able to control the dragon power within the disc.

From the very beginning, the evil gods had planned to use this disc. The Burning Legion wanted to destroy the world, and the Old Gods also needed the demons to destroy the world.

Galen finally understood that, apart from the Infinite Dragonflight, the other force that Nozdormu had mentioned was trying to disrupt the timeline!

Only when all the living beings in this world were killed by the Burning Legion, including the Titan Watchers who guarded them, would they be able to break free from their prison and regain their freedom!

Even if they didn't kill all living beings, as long as the resistance of Azeroth failed, the flow of time would change, and they would still be able to break their cage!

Just as Galen figured out these details, a large group of the Burning Legion's air force flew from the direction of the Eternal Palace: Felbats!

These Felbats were ridden by Highborne warriors, and the leader, a man with a scar on his face, was none other than Varo'then, the captain of Queen Azshara's guard.

In the Eternal Palace, Queen Azshara was meticulously dressing up.

Sargeras is coming! Finally, someone worthy of being called my husband has appeared!

At this moment, Azshara was still dreaming her dreams of becoming the Queen of Gods, completely unaware of whether her dimensions matched those of Sargeras.

Suddenly, a violent tremor knocked over one of the Queen's goblets. Azshara's body also shook, and a nearby maid almost ruined her elaborate makeup. Fortunately, the Queen cast a spell to prevent it.

Queen Azshara stood up from her ornate dressing table and turned to shout outside, "Vashj! Vashj! What is this terrible commotion all about?"

Vashj hurried in, a look of gritted teeth on her face. "Your Majesty, Light of Lights! Captain Varo'then reports that a small squad of rebels has infiltrated the city, attempting to resist the unstoppable tide."

"Among them are Tyrande, the priestess of the Moon Goddess who is leading the resistance, Malfurion, the number one rebel of the druid order who destroyed the portal… and… and…"

"Oh?"

Vashj's hesitation made Azshara impatient. "And who else?"

"Galen and Illidan Stormrage!"

Seeing that Her Majesty was getting angry, Vashj quickly revealed the information.

"Hahaha! All the rebels have gathered? Illidan has also chosen to betray, just like Galen? Ungrateful fools."

Azshara's anger flared, but then suddenly subsided. "The god is about to descend. I must greet him in my most perfect form, heh heh!"

"Vashj, notify my dear Captain of the Guard and have him go to Mannoroth to select suitable mounts to equip his guard, and wipe out these annoying traitors!"

"I hope to hear good news soon. The arrival of our great lord must not be delayed!"

"As you command, Your Majesty!"

Vashj bowed with an elegant gesture. "I will inform Captain Varo'then to seek out Lord Mannoroth."

After Vashj left, Queen Azshara turned back to look at the tall mirror on the wall, carefully admiring her perfect face and figure, and began to imagine the scene of welcoming Lord Sargeras, dreaming of the world that she and her new partner would create.

A world as perfect as she was.

In the skies above the Eternal Palace, hundreds of felwing bat riders took to the air, then split into two groups.

One group flew towards the Black Dragon Aspect, attempting to prevent him from approaching the Well of Eternity again. The other group, led by Varo'then himself, flew towards the forest where Mannoroth was!

Soon Varo'then saw the annoying blind man and the hateful traitor Galen in the sky!

Varo'then naturally attached great importance to the rebels that the Queen had personally ordered to be eliminated, especially Galen, whom he hated to the bone.

Ever since he discovered that Galen was the culprit who caused the failure of the capture mission that Advisor Xavius had entrusted to him, the hatred in his heart for Galen had not ceased, especially since he had also led half of the Highborne elves to defect, and had succeeded, without him catching a single one!

Several important missions had failed, and Varo'then had lost face. Even Her Majesty the Queen had shown a look of disappointment towards him!

How could Varo'then endure this!

He drew the long sword in his hand, patted the back of the felwing bat, urging it to speed up its flight!

The first group of felwing bats made contact with the Black Dragon Aspect first. They had not fought with dragons before, but this did not prevent the bats from fearlessly launching an attack with the Highborne elf knights on their backs, engaging the dragon in close combat.

The riders on the backs of these bat beasts could only tightly grip their mounts, fearing that they would lose their grip and fall to their deaths without a burial place.

The foremost felwing bat was directly turned to ashes by the Black Dragon Aspect's magma breath, but the felwing bats behind took the opportunity to get close. Their claws were as sharp as dragon claws, and the sharp teeth grown on their mouths to suck blood were also very suitable for piercing dragon scales. Moreover, the armor on the Black Dragon Aspect's body was not yet fully completed when he rushed to seize the Dragon Soul, which put him in danger.

Relying on their numerical advantage, the felwing bats tangled with the Black Dragon Aspect.

Neltharion was very angry. The previous two charges had been blocked by the black light, which made the anger in his heart burn fiercely, and now a group of ants came out to stop him, completely igniting his anger and burning the little reason left after being corrupted by the Old Gods!

His thick tail lashed fiercely at the felwing bat swarm. A felwing bat, unable to dodge, was directly shattered in the air by the huge force, and the knight on its back turned into a rain of blood and sprinkled down.

Then the Black Dragon Aspect pounced on the other felwing bats, completely disregarding his majesty as the Dragon Aspect, and completely abandoned his extraordinary wisdom, using his sharp teeth, claws, and tail, using the most barbaric methods to grab, tear, and bite.

The Black Dragon Aspect, relying on his body strengthened by the power of the earth, transformed into a pure beast, launching the most primitive and savage fight.

On the other side, Varo'then quickly arrived in the forest where Galen and the others were.

At this time, Galen and the others had just finished clearing the demons in the forest.

The felwing bat hovered in mid-air, and the Captain of the Guard on its back looked at Galen and Illidan with a sneer!

"You two cunning traitors, I have warned them long ago that you cannot be trusted!"

"Heh, I really like the way you hate me but can't do anything about it." Galen sneered disdainfully, making a combined move of One Finger and Lion's Roar.

"If you have the ability, come over and kill me!"

Galen's taunt made Varo'then's blood surge. He had already reached a berserk state without using combat skills. He yanked the reins of the bat under his crotch, and the bat quickly flapped its wings and rushed towards Galen!

In less than a second, the Captain of the Guard and his mount flew in front of Galen.

A foul odor wafted over, almost making Galen vomit.

At this time, Varo'then's deadly long sword had already stabbed towards Galen's chest.

It was impossible to dodge. Galen would never be able to dodge an attack from an opponent of the same level in this life.

He just had to be tough!

Hard fight!

Bang!

Varo'then's long sword collided with Galen's greatsword in his right hand. The huge force even caused the bat under Varo'then's crotch to tilt, and then one of its wings was chopped off by Galen's greatsword in his left hand.

"Get down here!"

The bat lost a wing and instantly lost its balance, throwing Varo'then off directly.

"Ah ha!"

"Come over here!"

Sylvanas and Alleria, together with the Priestess of the Moon, were providing ranged support, helping Broxigar to fully engage and eliminate the bat riders brought by Varothen, preventing the felbat riders from disturbing Malfurion's meditation and Galen's battle.

"He's so strong!"

Illidan had been watching coldly, casually tossing the Twin Blades of Azzinoth in his hand. A bat rider was cleaved in two in mid-air, and then the emerald green blades did not stop, continuing to spin in the air until they flew in a circle, killing four bat riders before returning to Illidan's hand.

Compared to others, Illidan saw more clearly with his special vision. Although Varothen and Galen's confrontation only used the simplest charge, slash, parry, and sweeping strike, these ordinary combat skills had been honed to the extreme, with speed and power reaching the limit of mortals.

This meant that dealing with those ordinary demons before was pretty much a one-hit kill!

At least Illidan knew that in terms of close combat, he was no match for Varothen and Galen at the moment.

Illidan's feeling was correct. After all, Varothen among them was a veteran powerhouse among the Highborne elves, a magic swordsman combining arcane magic and combat skills, while Galen had learned the combat skills that humans had thoroughly perfected over thousands of years. He became a high-ranking warrior at the age of twelve or thirteen and had fought his way out of the mountains of corpses and seas of blood of the orcs. His two-handed swordsmanship was already maxed out!

As for Illidan, he failed to cultivate druidic spells and turned to the path of arcane magic. However, in this timeline, he lacked Rhonin, the time traveler, to guide him. Although he had outstanding talent in arcane magic, he lacked the accumulation of time. Now, unless he could perfect the new profession he had just developed, he could improve his strength to the next level.

Just as Illidan was in a daze, Malfurion spoke up: "We must take action quickly! The portal is about to be completed!"

Malfurion had completed his meditation and adjusted his state to the best, but at this time he was very worried. When he opened his eyes, he found that the vortex below the Dragon Soul had changed. The edge of the Well of Eternity had a worrying green luster, which was too similar to the fel fire of the Burning Legion, which had to be worrying.

And now there were still many obstacles in front of them, and they had to entangle with the blocking demons, unable to immediately take action against the Demon Soul and the portal.

In the sky, the black dragon and the remaining felbat riders were still fighting. The advantage of the Black Dragon Aspect had gradually become obvious, but he still did not have the spare power to completely eliminate the felbat riders and fight for the Demon Soul!

"Oh?"

Compared to the anxious Malfurion, Illidan's mood was much more cheerful: "The moment of such crisis has finally arrived. Now it's my turn to save the world!"

Illidan had been waiting for this moment for a long time: "I have an idea!"

"What plan!" Malfurion asked, looking at the ominous black vortex and the portal.

"I plan to completely turn Sargeras' portal into a large vortex, sucking all those demons away from Kalimdor and throwing them back to their void world!"

Illidan was smug, seemingly very proud that he could come up with this method: "With just one spell, we can reverse the effect of that disc! Then save our people and save everything in this world!"

Illidan said this very loudly, seemingly to Tyrande who was fighting, but the Priestess of the Moon, like the Windrunner sisters, was bending her bow and shooting down the felbats in the sky, not paying attention to Illidan's plan just now.

"Perhaps it's feasible!" Malfurion agreed.

Tyrande didn't respond, and Malfurion's approval could only comfort Illidan.

"Then let's go!" Illidan said, taking a slender bottle from his waist pocket, "This will be very interesting!"

Although he couldn't see what was in the scarlet glass bottle, the feeling it gave Malfurion still gave him a clear and strong sense of unease.

"Illidan, what's in that bottle? What are you doing?" Malfurion's unease grew stronger!

"Doing something our people can't do!" Illidan's thoughtful gaze did not leave the bottle. "And this is just a bottle of water taken from the Well of Eternity."

Illidan's relaxed words shocked Malfurion. He realized that the road between him and his brother was getting further and further apart!

Illidan had stolen the water from the Well of Eternity. Even the Highborne elves only used the power of the Well of Eternity floating in the air. It was very dangerous to let oneself directly contact the water of the Well of Eternity!

This was tantamount to accepting the dark magic of the Burning Legion.

But on second thought, Illidan seemed to have already accepted the power bestowed by the demon lord Sargeras!

What can save you! My Idoudou!

"Illidan..."

Malfurion tried to stop his brother from doing something irreversible.

Illidan ignored Malfurion's words and gently stroked the stopper of the glass bottle with one finger.

This crystal clear stopper was actually a small full-body statue of Queen Azshara.

When the stopper was removed, Illidan suddenly poured the liquid in the bottle on himself.

The water of the Well of Eternity was not really water, at least not what Illidan imagined.

This was a liquid condensed from high concentrations of arcane energy. The well water did not fall down to cover Illidan's body.

In fact, it only made Illidan temporarily feel a little damp, and then the places on Illidan's body that were touched by this water flickered with luster and immediately turned into a terrifying dark black.

The magic patterns on Illidan's body flickered, and then the well water directly seeped into Illidan's body, filling his body, just like sucking the energy of the hellhound just now, causing his body to swell.

Illidan looked happy: "Yes, yes, I can feel the original power of the Well of Eternity. It's time to end this farce!"

"I'll deal with Mannoroth and break his will to protect the portal. You find a chance to seize the Dragon Soul, my brother!"

Not long after Illidan rushed out, he heard a roar from the depths of the forest: "Varothen, you trash, don't let this rabble disturb me!"

Unfortunately, Mannoroth didn't know that Varothen at this time had been firmly suppressed by Galen. That word 'trash' almost made Varothen spit out a mouthful of old blood.

Varothen looked around and found that the remaining felbats had also been cleaned up by the Windrunner sisters and Tyrande.

He admitted that he had underestimated Galen. He thought that Galen's previous escapes were because he couldn't beat him. He didn't expect this betrayer to be playing the pig to eat the tiger, always hiding his true strength!

Varothen had always thought that Galen was just someone who was good at spatial spells and used flattery to the Queen to get to the top!

He didn't expect that now he was being rubbed on the ground!

Varothen's longsword was once again blocked by Galen, who took the opportunity to attack his lower body with his signature low sweep.

At that moment, a sinister sneer appeared on Varothen's face, and a emerald green dagger materialized in his left hand!

This dagger was clearly coated with a deadly poison, guaranteed to kill instantly upon drawing blood.

Whoosh!

Varothen must have been very skilled at throwing weapons, because by the time Galen noticed the dagger, it was already very close!

The gloomy look on Varothen's face finally broke into a smile. In all these years, no opponent who had forced him to use Shattering Throw had ever lived!

"Give me your head! Galen Lema!"

"Hahaha… Gack!"

Varothen's elation was abruptly cut short as if the hand of fate had seized his throat!

Because he had witnessed an unbelievable sight: the dagger he had thrown had struck Galen in the chest, only to be deflected, flying past Galen's ear!

The thrown dagger had failed to penetrate Galen's defenses!

This was his trump card, specifically designed to break through an opponent's defenses!

Little did Varothen know, Galen was the kind of person who wished he could wear Guardian Rings on all ten fingers. His armor was so high it broke the heavens, probably comparable to the armor of a city wall.

Even if Varothen's Shattering Throw was incredibly powerful, breaking through half of Galen's armor, the remaining armor defense was still despair-inducing.

Unless Varothen possessed the strength of Sargeras, he could indeed ignore Galen's armor and crush him with one hand.

Varothen's eyes twitched. His opponent was stronger than him and had ridiculously high defense, and his strongest attack couldn't break through!

Varothen's heart sank!

What to do next? Waiting for advice online? Urgent!

"Ah!"

In that moment of distraction, Galen wouldn't give him a chance. His right hand swung his longsword down, and the upper-echelon Night Elf captain of the guard's arm was chopped off!

Blood sprayed everywhere!

The severely wounded Varothen's expression became twisted. He pulled out another dagger with his left hand and stabbed towards Galen's lower body!

Besides the poisonous green light, the dagger also contained red flame energy!

Galen remembered that Varothen was a Spellblade, capable of channeling arcane and fire energy to empower his weapons and increase their power.

"The Light of Lights will surely reward me handsomely!" The armless Varothen was nearly insane. "Mannoroth has always wanted you! Archimonde has always wanted you! How can such a weak creature like you be coveted by so many great figures! Killing you will earn me the Queen's favor again!"

So much nonsense!

Doesn't he know that villains die from talking too much?

I'm just standing here, so what if your dagger stabs me?

Varothen looked delighted, his left hand's red-tinged dagger already touching Galen's clothes!

Armor only defends against physical attacks, but this attack contains all of my arcane energy and fire magic!

Ding!

Varothen's attack was once again blocked!

A golden shield, small and only the size of a palm, appeared in front of Galen's crotch!

Unexpected?

Surprised?

"Varothen, your death has come. Be on your way!"

Galen raised his right leg and kicked Varothen in the chest. Varothen was sent flying by the enormous force, and then Galen threw the greatsword in his right hand, directly piercing Varothen's heart and pinning him to a giant tree.

Wah! Pfft!

The suspended Varothen spat out a mouthful of blood, then lost all strength, hanging on the longsword.

"Ding! Legendary-tier spirit found, collect?"

"Collect!"

Galen went forward, pulled out his longsword, and let Varothen's body slide off the tree.

When Galen turned his gaze back to the Well of Eternity in the distance, the situation was already critical. The Dragon Soul had been outputting energy for a long time, and the portal had received enough power.

Sargeras sensed the final resistance in space-time suddenly disappear. The portal he had been building with all his might was finally taking shape, and he began to try to squeeze through!

Soon, he would be able to enter Azeroth!

Illidan had absorbed a vial of water from the Well of Eternity, gaining enough magic power to temporarily restrain Mannoroth. Now, what Galen had to do was obtain the Dragon Soul, interrupt its power supply to the portal, and then help Malfurion reverse the portal!

Just as Galen was about to act, the Black Dragon Aspect in the sky had cleared all the Felbat Riders, and finally no one was blocking him!

"The Dragon Soul is mine!" Deathwing roared victoriously. He charged towards the Well of Eternity again, and a dragon claw shattered the black aura around the Dragon Soul, grabbing the golden disc in his claw!

However, the Black Dragon Aspect was not in good shape at this time. The armor on his body had been melted into red slag, the scales on his body had been completely peeled off, revealing scorched and torn flesh, and his wings were even torn!

Even worse, the claws of the Black Dragon Aspect that grabbed the golden disc had long been twisted and deformed, but he didn't care, because he had obtained what he wanted!

Just as Deathwing was preparing to leave this place, heal his injuries, and then come out to cause trouble again, a bronze-colored giant arm stretched out from the portal and slammed into the Black Dragon Aspect!

The enormous force caused many parts of Deathwing's body to burst open, and even only half of his wings remained, but he still succeeded. He forcibly dragged the Dragon Soul out of the portal!

"Hahahaha!"

"What's mine will always be mine, no one can take it away!"

But how could Sargeras let it go? At this time, only the last step remained before his arrival!

A black energy quickly condensed in his palm and accurately hit the Black Dragon Aspect!

The Black Dragon Aspect was severely injured, and the Dragon Soul left his claws, falling towards the Maelstrom. His body tumbled backward in the air and soon disappeared into the dark clouds.

Galen vaguely heard a sentence: I will be back!

The Dragon Soul left a bright golden trail in the dim, dark green sky, falling rapidly.

Opportunity!

Galen used two Flashes towards the Well of Eternity, stepping on the edge of the Well of Eternity, and then his body transformed in a burst of green light. A moose appeared, and then Galen used Heroic Leap in his moose form!

The moose's two strong hind legs stomped hard on the stone platform at the edge of the Well of Eternity, and the stone platform was instantly trampled with cracks like a spider web!

Then Galen's moose body flew out nimbly, leaving an afterimage in the sky above the Well of Eternity!

Finally, to the astonishment of Malfurion and the others, the moose bit the falling Dragon Soul in its mouth and landed steadily on the other side of the Well of Eternity!

With the change of ownership of the Dragon Soul, a terrifying roar came from the other side of the portal. Sargeras was furious!

A terrifying green storm was brewing in the center of the Great Sundering. Sargeras was preparing to forcibly pass through the portal that was still a little short of completion!

Although the portal wasn't big enough, it was still possible to squeeze through!

Sargeras retracted his arm to perform the final spell, reinforcing the portal.

Terrifying power was rapidly condensing within the portal. Sargeras was about to succeed!

Mannoroth was being held back by Illidan, but he knew that this was a crucial moment for the Burning Legion, so he repelled Illidan and began summoning all the Doomguards and demons he could!

Galen had already seen Archimonde's towering figure step into Zin-Azshari. As long as he passed through the city, he could reach Galharra!

Once Sargeras descended, all living beings would be reduced to ashes!

Galen didn't dare delay. His four hooves moved quickly, and he came to Malfurion's side, handing him the Dragon Soul!

"Quickly use the Dragon Soul to reverse the portal! Be careful of the whispers of the evil god within!"

Now, only the last step remained before the victory of the War of the Ancients, as long as Malfurion completed the spell!

And now, it was necessary to delay for a while.

Broxigar, it's your turn to meet your destiny!

Broxigar heard Galen's call in his mind. Long ago, Highlord Galen had told him about the fate of the orcs. Even if the draenei hadn't come to Draenor, the orcs would still have attracted Kil'jaeden's attention, and he would still have chosen to corrupt the orcs!

Now, the orcs of Draenor, under the leadership of Magatha, had regained their traditions and honor, and he should also fulfill his duty and complete a part of history!

"Goodbye, shaman!" Broxigar shouted loudly to Tyrande, "It is my honor to fight alongside you!"

An ominous premonition arose in Tyrande's heart, and then she shouted, "What are you planning to do..."

Broxigar no longer paid attention to everything around him. He imitated Galen's earlier actions, striding forward and sprinting to the edge of the Well of Eternity, then using his two thick legs to push off the ground, making a heroic leap!

The green figure tightly gripped an oak battleaxe, leaping towards the black portal in the center of the Well of Eternity!

There, half of Sargeras's body had already squeezed in. Broxigar, holding the battleaxe, slashed fiercely at the Dark Titan's calf!

"Ah!"

"Insects! How dare you!"

Boom!

After a burst of wind and storm, Sargeras's body shrunk back from the Azeroth side. Broxigar's attack had worked!

Only Broxigar's figure had disappeared!

Tyrande shed tears, and the Windrunner sisters also felt a sense of loss. Although they had once been enemies with Broxigar, they had recognized Broxigar's bravery and nobility during more than a year of fighting side by side!

Only, what the others didn't know was that Broxigar, after injuring Sargeras, had been blown apart by the Dark Titan. Although he had died, his soul had been collected by Galen again and returned to the Altar of Kings!

Galen watched as Archimonde led a large army into the city, surrounding them. The Red Dragon Queen and the Dragon Queen were severely injured by Archimonde while trying to stop them!

There was no time left!

He had to act quickly!

Let it explode!

"Malfurion! Quickly, call upon the power of nature from the entire continent of Kalimdor, inject it into the Dragon Soul, and then use this power to destroy the portal!"

Malfurion chose to listen unconditionally to Galen's words. He began to gather all his magic, communicating with nature, and drawing upon the power of the storms in the sky, the power of the thunder in the dark clouds.

In addition to the storm and thunder, every plant and tree on this continent was contributing a portion of its power, converging towards Malfurion.

Then, the vast power of nature was poured into the Dragon Soul by Malfurion, and the Dragon Soul emitted a dazzling golden light in his hands!

Sargeras, who was squeezing through the portal again, noticed the abnormality and began to struggle desperately, trying to force his entire body into Azeroth.

Everyone discovered that there was a small wound on the demon lord's calf, from which green blood was flowing!

"Insignificant insects! You actually dare to resist the great Sargeras! Your pathetic world will soon be destroyed by me! Abandon your futile struggles!"

Faced with Sargeras's pressure, Malfurion bore the brunt, but fortunately Galen stepped forward and stood in front of him, helping him resist most of the pressure!

Malfurion gritted his teeth, desperately resisting Sargeras's pressure and the whispers of the evil god in the Dragon Soul, and then tried to push his spell forward!

Finally, Malfurion's spell was completed!

"Drink!"

Malfurion pushed the Dragon Soul, aiming it at the portal above the Well of Eternity!

A dazzling golden light shot out, and Galen vaguely saw a small golden dragon fly out in the golden light!

"Go back! Demon!"

Boom!

The portal was hit by the golden light, and the powerful force caused the portal to begin to collapse. Sargeras was still not giving up, trying to force his way through the portal!

"Insect! I will make you die!"

It was just that his power was too strong, coupled with the portal beginning to shrink, forcibly squeezing caused the collapse of space!

The entire space fell into a deathly silence, as if no sound had ever existed in this world. The wind stopped, and even the Well of Eternity, which had once been wildly roaring in the storm, completely calmed down.

"Not good! The space here is about to collapse!"

As soon as Galen finished speaking, a powerful suction force came from the other side of the portal. Malfurion was just about to escape, but found that this suction seemed to have no effect on him!

At this time, a fat man flew up from the edge of the Well of Eternity. Everyone recognized him as Mannoroth, the pit lord who was being pulled by the suction force towards the black hole that the portal had become!

His huge body just happened to slam into Sargeras's half body that was stuck, his big butt smashing into his face. Then, the Dark Titan, who had just been talking harshly, was smashed back!

With Sargeras no longer blocking the portal, the suction of this black hole suddenly increased tenfold, a hundredfold, but for the natives of Kalimdor present, it was just a gentle breeze.

Only the Burning Legion was completely plunged into chaos by this suction, and hundreds of thousands of Doomguards could only be pulled into the sky towards the Well of Eternity, and finally ruthlessly sucked into the portal!

In the distance, Archimonde was preparing to launch a fatal blow against the Red Dragon Queen, who had desperately pounced on him, but he found that his body was out of control.

The demon commander waved his hands and legs and began to struggle, but it was useless. His body kept flying into the sky, beginning to fly towards the Well of Eternity!

Under Galen's leadership, the rebel forces watched in stunned silence as Archimonde and the Burning Legion collectively levitated backward, then were sucked into the black hole, disappearing completely from the continent of Kalimdor!

The sky was filled with tumbling, howling demons. They struggled to return to the ground, but in vain, unable to break free from the black hole's suction. Even demons that had already been slain had their broken corpses recycled by the black hole like garbage, thrown back into the Twisting Nether.

Most hilariously, a hellfire summoned by an Eredar warlock had just descended from the sky, only a few meters from landing, when it was once again yanked away from the ground, returning whence it came.

The dragonflights in the sky landed one after another, joining the rebel members in admiring the demons' embarrassing figures, their hearts filled with elation!

They had won!

"Sound the horns! Reorganize the army!"

However, the victory did not put Galen's mind at ease. He felt that things were not so simple, an ominous feeling lingering in his heart!

"Are we going to pursue them, Commander?" Huon Highmountain, covered in blood, approached Galen, carrying his Eagle Spear.

"No!"

Galen had great respect for this foreign warrior. After hesitating for a moment, he voiced his thoughts: "We need to contact Jarod and Malfurion as soon as possible to understand the current situation and whether the Burning Legion has been completely defeated!"

"Reorganize the army, whether it's to advance on Zin-Azshari to judge Queen Azshara or to better evacuate the army in case of an emergency!"

Huon nodded, agreeing with Galen's foresight.

The rebel warriors quickly obeyed the commander's orders, reforming their ranks, while the priests of the Moon Goddess began to heal the wounded.

Galen and Huon turned their gazes towards the direction the demons had left, the Night Elves' capital city, the beginning of all misfortune.

Above the Well of Eternity, the space around the portal had collapsed, and demons were continuously being sucked into it.

After a long time, no more demons were being sucked in. All the invading demons on the continent had been cleared. The black hole formed by the portal had shrunk to its limit, and the passage between the two realms was rapidly collapsing.

Finally, the portal completely disappeared. In everyone's minds, Sargeras's roar still echoed faintly.

Tyrande breathed a sigh of relief: "Malfurion!"

"You succeeded!"

Tyrande ran to Malfurion and hugged him tightly. At that moment, Malfurion wanted nothing more than to hold Tyrande tightly in his arms.

He happily responded to Tyrande: "It's over! It's finally... over! Ha, Tyrande, where's Illidan?"

"Ahem, he's by the Well!"

Beside Malfurion, Jarod cleared his throat, indicating that there were still many people present and to not display such affection in public.

Tyrande peeked out from Malfurion's embrace and saw that, besides Jarod, Alleria and Sylvanas had also come to the edge of the Well of Eternity, now looking at her and Malfurion with teasing eyes.

Hearing Jarod's words, Malfurion followed his gaze and saw Illidan, his eyes covered by cloth, staring at him and Tyrande in his arms from behind the shadow of a tall tower, his expression very complex.

"I think I hear the sound of a heart breaking, hehe."

Jarod had just seen Illidan hiding in the shadows, using special crystal bottles to fill them with a lot of water from the Well of Eternity. How could he let Illidan have an easy time?

So he impolitely added insult to injury.

Tyrande finally couldn't bear it any longer and shyly left Malfurion's embrace.

Malfurion glared at Jarod somewhat dissatisfiedly, and the Windrunner sisters behind Jarod covered their mouths and snickered even more.

Malfurion came to his brother's side.

"Brother... you came just in time..."

"Illidan! The Well of Eternity has lost control..."

Illidan nodded: "That's right, the abuse of magic has led to the distortion of the Well of Eternity! Especially you, you went too far when dealing with the portal. The spell that sent the Burning Legion back to the Twisting Nether through the Dragon Soul is now causing a backlash on the Well of Eternity! The Well of Eternity is consuming itself and absorbing everything around it. Magnificent, isn't it?"

As Illidan said, the great vortex formed by the Well of Eternity was trembling, and vast energy was beginning to show signs of disorder, as if an explosion was occurring deep within the vortex.

Even more terrifying, the water of the Well of Eternity began to rise, and the edge of the great vortex completely submerged the platform of the wellhead, beginning to overflow and expand outwards!

Illidan stared mesmerized at the surface of the Well of Eternity, wiping his palms. Only then did Malfurion notice the specks of energy light scattered on his brother's palms.

"Illidan! What did you just do?!"

Malfurion's tone was quite stern. Before, because the entire world was facing a huge crisis, he was powerless to stop Illidan from making some dangerous choices. Now that the Burning Legion had been driven out of this world, as a brother, he had to correct the mistakes Illidan had made!

"Hey! You two down there, the Well of Eternity is about to explode. Are you not running away or are you going to celebrate the New Year there?"

Jarod's shout interrupted the tense atmosphere between the two. Malfurion said nothing more, and Illidan also breathed a sigh of relief at this time.

"He's right, brother. The energy within the Well of Eternity is quite violent. Once it erupts, it will cause very serious consequences. Moreover, because the energy around the well water is too chaotic, my teleportation spell has lost its effect. If you have a way to leave here, it's best to hurry."

Malfurion grabbed Illidan, "Let's go, this way. We'll leave the city. The dragons outside the city can take us all away!"

Malfurion and the others had just left the vicinity of the Well of Eternity when the ground shook. Galhara was the first place to be submerged by the water of the Well of Eternity.

At the edge of the city, they encountered rebel scouts who had entered the city to investigate. Then they left the city together. The rebel army was already ready to go, and Galen was sitting on his nightsaber, anxiously waiting for the scouts to return!

"Quick! Run, Galen, we must go to a higher and farther place!"

Malfurion warned the rebel commander breathlessly!

"What's going on? Malfurion? Did we win?!"

"We won, the portal has been destroyed, but the powerful spells endured by the Well of Eternity have completely broken it down! It is consuming itself and engulfing everything around it!"

"We must get everyone out of here quickly! To Mount Hyjal!"

"It's high enough there!"

Malfurion's words shocked Jarod!

"By the Moon Goddess!" Their main force was so close to Zin-Azshari, where the Well of Eternity was located. If a massive explosion really happened as Malfurion said, the losses would be absolutely devastating!

"Pass down my order!"

Jarod displayed the qualities of a commander, reacting quickly: "Immediately inform the entire army of the current situation and retreat towards Mount Hyjal at the fastest speed possible!"

"Hurry, there can't be a moment's delay!"

Galen then noticed that many messengers had already gathered around Jarod. He truly was a commander with foresight!

"We don't need to run too far. As long as we leave the chaotic energy field of the Well of Eternity, Dath'Remar and the others can open a portal and send us to Mount Hyjal!"

"This is indeed good news!"

Rumbling sounds began to emanate from the direction of Zin-Azshari. The light on the horizon was swallowed by a darkness, and panic began to spread. Jarod could only try to maintain order, preventing the troops from descending into chaos.

Not everyone was fleeing towards Mount Hyjal in the northwest. After all, the demons on this continent had been completely cleared out. Now, all they needed to do was stay away from the vicinity of the Well of Eternity!

The new lord of Black Rook Hold, Ravencrest's daughter Illysanna Ravencrest, led her family guards eastward.

Galen saw that Huln and his tribesmen were in a bit of disarray, so he immediately went over.

"Huln, why haven't you left yet!"

Galen's loud shout caught Huln's attention. The tall tauren chieftain, as if finding a savior, quickly said, "Galen, too many of my tribesmen are injured. We can't abandon them; they need help!"

"That's no problem!"

Galen decided to help these brave tauren. The priests of the Temple of the Moon had all gone to help their own people during this chaos. The furbolgs, having lost their twin demigods of faith, had no leader to rely on and were running around like headless flies, some following the night elves towards Mount Hyjal, and others heading north.

"Jess, quickly bring the troops over!"

Among the three thousand troops under his command, there were several hundred druids. Each took turns casting Rejuvenation on the tauren, and then helped them run.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Galen led Huln and his tribesmen to flee in the opposite direction of Mount Hyjal.

"Galen, where are we going? Aren't we going with Jarod's main force?" Although Huln looked simple and honest, as a leader, he wasn't stupid.

"Heh, the war is over, and the alliance is meaningless. Moreover, Mount Hyjal is night elf territory. Why would you go there?"

Without a strong enemy, the class divisions among the night elves would soon erupt. Dath'Remar, at the head of the Highborne, hadn't suffered much loss because of him. They might not choose to swallow their anger when faced with the questioning of their people.

"Then where are we going!" Huln was most concerned about this question now. He had heard before that Mount Hyjal was the highest peak in Kalimdor, known as the Roof of the World. Even if the continent really broke apart and the sea flooded in, that would definitely be the safest place.

"There is another supreme mountain range to the east, called Highmountain. It is the highest peak besides Mount Hyjal!"

"Then what are we waiting for! Tribesmen, full speed ahead!"

The great escape began.
