Chapter 355 - Escape

As Galen approached, he could see the Hellhounds drooling green saliva, which was utterly disgusting.

With a sweep of his greatsword, Galen cleaved open a Hellhound that had pounced at him from below, then used the sword to fling the Hellhound's body, knocking away another one.

At that moment, another Hellhound lunged at Galen from his right, but two arrows struck its vitals in mid-air, killing it instantly.

Although Sylvanas and Alleria were providing ranged support from behind, two Hellhounds still managed to surround Galen, biting into the Night Saber beneath him.

The Night Saber, stung by the pain, was also provoked into ferocity, its long fangs biting into one of the Hellhounds attacking it, while Galen seized the opportunity to slay the other.

By this point, Galen and his companions had eliminated seven Hellhounds, but their numbers were still overwhelming, with Galen estimating that at least half remained.

The deaths of their comrades did not deter these low-level demons; instead, they became more serious.

After a few low growls, they collectively launched off their hind legs, charging at Galen like madmen!

Pounce!

These Hellhounds possessed simple intelligence, with a hint of excitement in their eyes. 'With so many brothers charging together, surely one of us can bite him!'

Galen laughed!

His figure suddenly doubled in size, and he drew another greatsword. Then, his body began to twist, and with a mighty swing of both greatswords, he created a powerful whirlwind centered on himself!

The sound of Galen's greatswords slicing through the air was ear-piercing. The Hellhounds eagerly rushed into the whirlwind, followed by bursts of blooming green blood scattering across the sky.

The ground around Galen was littered with the corpses and fragments of Hellhounds, forming a terrifying hellscape of corpses that shook the Druid Grandmaster's soul.

Avatar + Windmill; its power in group battles was terrifying.

But Malfurion and Brox weren't so lucky. As a Druid specializing in spellcasting, Malfurion's offensive spells were like tickling the Hellhounds, dealing no damage at all.

As a result, a Hellhound that slipped through the Windrunner sisters' arrow blockade quickly approached Malfurion and launched a pounce!

Just as the Hellhound was about to knock Malfurion down, Brox, who was beside him, snapped out of his daze and leapt off the Night Saber's back towards the Hellhound.

The Hellhound intended to knock Malfurion down with its claws, but Brox intercepted it in mid-air, and the two grappled together, their bulky bodies crashing to the ground and rolling several times.

"Bang!"

After landing, Brox landed a heavy punch on the Hellhound's nose, the fist as big as a casserole dish breaking the Hellhound's nose bridge, causing thick, dark green fluid to flow from its nostrils, and it let out a painful whimper.

Brox also endured the intense pain in his fist, regretting that he had been too hasty in the escape and hadn't thought to ask his Warchief for a handy weapon!

The Hellhound in his arms struggled violently, and just as Brox was about to lose his grip, he felt a wriggling sensation on the grass beneath him. Four or five thick thorns emerged, firmly binding the Hellhound.

Seeing this, Brox quickly seized the opportunity, his thick arms fiercely strangling the Hellhound's neck!

The Hellhound struggled violently, and the tendrils on its body touched the vines binding its limbs, causing the vines to wither!

It was its innate ability: Devour Magic!

Malfurion's expression turned solemn, and he had to add new vines to replace the withered ones until Brox snapped the Hellhound's neck!

In that instant, Malfurion wondered if he should also add some martial arts practice to his leisure time?

"Let's go, keep moving! There might be more than just these dozen or so. We must leave this place before we're surrounded."

Galen raised his hand and cast a Rejuvenation spell on his Night Saber, healing the front paw that had been bitten by the Hellhound. This panther was quite fierce; once stimulated, it would bite anything.

As the group continued to flee, Malfurion asked Brox, "Brox, do you recognize these monsters?"

"Hellhounds are the Burning Legion's trained pets. Their vitality and strength aren't outstanding, but they are numerous and possess talents against spellcasters. They can cast magic seals and devour magic, while their skin has considerable magic resistance, making them a bane to magic users."

Malfurion nodded in agreement after listening. His natural spells had no effect on the Hellhounds earlier, which indeed left him helpless.

This further strengthened Malfurion's determination to learn some physical attack methods!

Just then, the sound of dense footsteps came from the woodlands behind them. Unlike the chaotic sounds of the Hellhounds, Galen recognized the subtle footsteps of the Night Sabers.

"The Suramar pursuers are here!"

Galen warned, "At least a hundred!"

It was almost dawn; once the sun rose, the pursuing Night Elves would have difficulty seeing their targets, which would help them escape.

But judging from the sky, they still needed at least half an hour. If the Moon Guard caught up at this time, it would be difficult for them to win five against one hundred.

Most importantly, Malfurion didn't want to cause casualties among the Night Elves!

Hey!

If this were the apocalypse, Galen would be the first to kill Malfurion.

"Shiva, Alleria, escort Malfurion and Brox to the Cenarius Grove." Galen pondered for a moment and said, "I'll draw the pursuers away!"

"But... it's too dangerous for you alone!" Alleria and Sylvanas were unwilling.

"I estimate that the road ahead is completely blocked by Hellhounds. Malfurion is at a disadvantage against them and needs your help!"

"And these little dogs can't pose a threat to me. With the scrolls, we can easily regroup. Listen to me!"

After Galen finished speaking, he casually took out a battle axe and threw it to Brox.

"Bloodhowl?"

"A fake!"

Galen generously admitted that it was a knockoff weapon.

"Roar!"

Sure enough, Hellhounds were coming, drawn by the scent of their companions' blood!

"Go!"

After Galen finished speaking, without waiting for their reaction, he patted Sylvanas and Alleria's Night Sabers, urging them to continue running west.

Once they had run far away, Galen raised his hand and cast a Blizzard, erasing all traces of Malfurion and the others entering the dense forest. Then, he took out a rope, found a few relatively intact Hellhound corpses, and had the Night Saber drag them north.

Such obvious traces; as long as the Suramar pursuers behind weren't blind, they would notice it!
