Chapter 309 - Here at the gates the king awaits

At the end of Durin's ascension, Galen summoned the seven heroic spirits he had absorbed in advance: the Seven Sages of Blackrock!

Centuries ago, the Witch King Thaurissan and his seven most powerful Blackrock Warlocks accidentally summoned Ragnaros into Azeroth, leading to the enslavement of their entire tribe.

Although the Seven Sages died in the ritual, their restless souls have been wandering within Blackrock Depths ever since. The sages appeared and knelt before the new king to show their submission.

With powerful strength, great achievements, and the recognition of the sages, Durin was truly and rightfully established as the real ruler of the Blackrock Dwarves at this moment.

The Blackrock Dwarves knelt before the new king willingly, while those rebels who couldn't accept reality in a short time stood there dumbfounded, appearing particularly prominent among the kneeling crowd.

The Hill Guard swarmed up and subdued them all.

From then on, Blackrock Depths officially accepted the rule of Durin Fire Conqueror.

The first order issued by Durin was for Blackrock Depths to join the Alliance and enter a state of total war, officially fighting against the Black Dragon Legion and the Orcs.

The second order was to execute the two leaders of the pro-fire element faction, General Angerforge and Commander Agrimosh.

The third order was to reinstate two officials of Blackrock Depths, Warden Stilgiss and Arbiter Grimstone.

Durin, or rather Galen, was not afraid of their rebellion at all. In fact, Galen even looked forward to these strong individuals rebelling. Killing several decent fire elementals in Molten Core and blasting Ragnaros's clone had greatly increased Aragorn and Gandalf's experience bars, bringing them close to the mid-stage of legend. Galen couldn't wait for more people to come and offer their heads!

Medivh and Aegwynn returned to Kalimdor after reinforcing the seal on Molten Core. Galen gave them a new mission: to go to Silithus in southern Kalimdor.

According to Galen, servants of the Wind Prince were active in that area. Medivh and Aegwynn's goal was to find out about the Vessel of Rebirth and then seize it.

The Vessel of Rebirth is the key to the Wind Prince's resurrection. Now that Galen has two Thunderaan's Imprisonment on him, and the Fire Lord's clone in Azeroth has been banished, Ragnaros's control over the Wind Prince has reached its lowest point. Next, all that's needed is to resurrect Thunderan and then kill him to steal his sword, Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.

Galen suddenly felt that there seemed to be a slight problem with this process. He felt a bit of sympathy for Thunderan, this unfortunate soul.

The sympathy was quickly thrown out of Galen's mind. Compared to Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, it's better for Thunderan to continue suffering.

Half of the one-month deadline has passed. The Alliance is patiently waiting for Galen's news, while the Horde has welcomed their strongest reinforcements.

Grom Hellscream led three thousand elite warriors of the Warsong Clan to the Orc fortress outside Blackrock Mountain.

Orgrim's mind was entirely focused on how to defeat the Alliance and recapture the northern continent. He had no interest in what happened inside Blackrock Mountain, even though they had obtained a lot of Azeroth intelligence and a batch of excellent weapons and equipment from the Blackrock Dwarves.

Galen cared even less about how many reinforcements the Horde had. This war could have ended long ago, but he had been secretly controlling the progress of the war to maximize the growth of the Alliance's main force in the war against the Orcs.

With an army of 200,000 as a safety net, even if the Alliance was completely wiped out, Orgrim wouldn't be able to cause much trouble.

So, he entered the upper levels of Blackrock Spire without any sense of urgency, heading towards Blackwing Lair to track down Pathspitter.

The Black Dragonflight and the Blackrock Dwarves had a big fight, a fierce battle. Agrimosh certainly suffered heavy losses. Without the protection of the puppet army, he was beheaded by Durin and his head displayed to the public. The Black Dragonflight was not doing well either. Both the dragonkin General and the dragonspawn Leader suffered serious injuries. The dragonspawn and dragonmen under their command also lost more than half of their numbers and needed a long time to hatch to replenish them.

Along the way, there were many corpses of black dragons and blood emitting a disgusting stench, causing Sylvanas and Alleria to directly cover their mouths and noses with their cloaks.

Galen also saw many red scales on the ground. It seemed that the red dragons on Pathspitter's side were also injured.

As they went deeper, in addition to the huge black dragon corpses, there were also many corpses of whelps, not only black dragons, but also whelps of other dragons, mostly red dragon whelps. No wonder the fighting ahead was so fierce. Obviously, the corpses of the red dragon whelps had angered the red dragons who entered Blackwing Lair.

They advanced smoothly. Nefarian didn't seem to have many troops guarding Blackwing Lair. The Blackrock Dwarves' attack and the Red Dragon Legion's raid had left the Black Dragon Legion with insufficient strength.

Galen continued to move forward based on his sense of Pathspitter. Before long, they arrived at the highest point of Blackrock Spire, a terrace that was also Nefarian's lair, the location of the Black Dragon Prince's throne.

The remaining members of the Black Dragon Legion were confronting the invading Red Dragon Legion beside Nefarian.

Nefarian sat steadily on his throne, below which were the powerful members of the Black Dragonflight.

"Nefarian, your end has come! The Red Dragonflight will purify your cursed bloodline today!" The speaker was a seemingly just-adult red dragon, a unfamiliar face, but judging from Pathspitter's gaze, this should be his and the Red Dragon Queen's offspring, Valastrasz.

"Vaelan, no, little dragon whelp, you're lucky. If your father hadn't arrived in time, you would have succumbed to my magic." Nefarian didn't seem to take this just-adult red dragon seriously at all. What he was wary of was the red dragon Pathspitter next to Valastrasz.

Nefarian was also qualified to speak arrogantly. Compared to other second-generation dragon princes, his combat power was also among the best. At the same time, he was also a leader in the Black Dragon Legion, with strength that could rank in the top five.

Nefarian, who could have relied on the Black Dragon's strong body to overcome all resistance, insisted on relying on his talent. Not only did he make a name for himself in Azeroth with his wild magic, but he was also a genius in research!

His research direction was relatively singular: dragon biological modification. The Chromatic Dragon was Nefarian's masterpiece!

Galen felt that he really needed such talent, no, dragon talent!
