Northeron Highlands, Khaz'Khaven, the shamanic sanctuary of the Wildhammer dwarves.
At this moment, a summit is being held in the hall of Khaz'Khaven.
Those participating in the summit include Corin Sandermaul, chieftain of the Sandermaul clan; Rak'wen Magrave, the Great Shaman of Khaz'Khaven; Korgan Firebeard, chieftain of the Firebeard clan; and Kelly Dunwald, the spokesperson for the town of Dunwald!
These four chieftains rule over the Wildhammer strongholds in the Northeron Highlands, and are the Wildhammer chieftains besides those of Aerie Peak.
Khaz'Khaven is the Wildhammer's spiritual sanctuary, known for producing shamanic priests. The Flamesbeard clan excels at training griffons, and their Flamesbeard Knights are renowned throughout the Highlands. The Wildhammer Rune Warriors of Sandermaul are quite elite, second only to the Treasury Guards of Aerie Peak and Ironforge.
Dunwald also has the largest territory among them. They are skilled in business, possessing the largest brewery in the entire Highlands. They are also, besides the Flamesbeard clan, the territory with the closest ties to Galen's Flowing Harbor. Their female chieftain, Kelly, has keen insight and chose to engage in commercial exchanges with Flowing Harbor early on.
"Everyone, a group of green-skinned beasts has occupied our ancient capital, Grim Batol. Although it has been cursed by the Black Iron dwarves' witch queen and is no longer suitable for habitation, we still regard it as a sacred place. We cannot allow these filthy orcs to defile it!" Korgan Firebeard, the initiator of this Khaz'Khaven summit, began to preside over the meeting.
"Enough, Korgan. When those green skins attacked Sandermaul, you didn't send even a single bird to aid us. How can you have the mind to recover Grim Batol? That's something Aerie Peak should do!" Corin Sandermaul has always been at odds with the Firebeard clan, and immediately mocked him after Korgan finished speaking.
"How did I not send people to help you? Hmph! If I hadn't sent Ian to lead a large squadron of griffons to help you resist those red dragons, your town would have been reduced to ruins in the flames long ago!" Korgan was displeased; his good intentions were being taken for granted!
"I can vouch for Korgan on this, Corin," Kelly said, supporting the Flamesbeard clan. "If it weren't for the Flamesbeard's griffon knights, Dunwald would have lost at least half of its beer!"
Now it was Corin's turn to be embarrassed. After all, it didn't feel good to be slapped in the face on the spot after making a mocking remark.
"I am only a coordinator for this operation. The real main force is Grand Lord Galen of the Stromgarde, who will send two legions to assist us."
Korgan changed the subject, giving Corin a way out. They were all old friends, and they had been living and working in peace in Northeron for centuries, so there was no need to hold grudges.
"The generous Galen?" Corin followed suit and stopped dwelling on the matter, but he was curious about Galen's purpose. "Why would he want to help us?"
"It is said that the north has already become a complete mess. The Bronzebeard dwarves are trapped in Ironforge by a large group of green skins and cannot get out. Aerie Peak was also almost captured, and it was Grand Lord Galen who helped them drive away the green-skinned orcs." As a merchant, Kelly had access to the latest information and shared it with everyone.
"The Wildhammer lineage is truly disgracing King Khardros. They're being bullied right to their doorstep!"
"It is said that after the orcs occupied Grim Batol, they are training red dragon knights there, which has caused huge losses to the human army. Grand Lord Galen wants to destroy the red dragon training base, so that the Horde will have one less trump card."
Korgan repeated what his human friend Hamon Caven had said.
"Recovering Grim Batol is fine, but what does Aerie Peak think? After all, Kurdran is the Grand Lord, and we have been separated from Aerie Peak for so long, but in name we still belong to the Wildhammer. It's not good to act without authorization!" Corin was a powerful warrior, and he was not afraid of fighting. He didn't like politics, even though the Wildhammer's chieftain system had little constraint. Closing the door and living his own life was his pursuit.
"That doesn't matter. The latest news is that Kurdran has led Aerie Peak to join the Alliance, and we can join together. Grand Lord Galen is a general in the Alliance, and as a member of the Alliance, we have no problem responding to the general's call." Kelly did not object to joining the Alliance. It was good to seek shelter under a big tree. As a member of the Alliance, Dunwald's business could be done all over the Eastern Kingdoms.
"I don't want to join the Alliance. King Khardros chose to move north back then, and our ancestors chose to stay. We have solved our own difficulties for so many years. Wouldn't joining the Alliance mean returning to the rule of Aerie Peak?" Corin was still unwilling.
"I don't like Maze's ways either. He's too stubborn and old-fashioned!" The former Grand Lord Maze kept the Wildhammer clan's foreign policy closed, and Kelly couldn't do her business.
"Perhaps we can band together. After joining the Alliance, we can rely on Grand Lord Galen. The Grand Lord's generosity to us in recent years has proven his goodwill towards us. The Flamesbeard clan has already taught them the art of training griffons, Khaz'Khaven has also sent shamans to serve the Grand Lord, and Kelly's business with Flowing Harbor is growing bigger and bigger. We have a good foundation for cooperation with Grand Lord Galen, and our relationship is already relatively close. What do you think?"
"I second that!"
"I have no objections!"
"Priest Magrave, what do you think?" The elder shaman was highly respected and was their spiritual leader. Even Aerie Peak respected him.
"The spirits of the elements tell me that Galen is a trustworthy friend, and he is full of goodwill towards Azeroth. It is good to maintain the current relationship with Aerie Peak. We still belong to the Wildhammer clan. Grim Batol is our home, and we must recover it!"
The old shaman priest's words were regarded as approval of the decisions of several chieftains.
"The Firebeard clan will send a thousand griffon knights, led by Ian."
"The Sandermaul clan will send three thousand Rune Guards, and I will personally lead the troops!"
"Dunwald will send five hundred militiamen, led by my elder brother Tune and my two younger brothers, Eoin and Kaden. We, Dunwald, will take care of all the logistics!"
Hiss!
The chieftains in the hall gasped. Eoin was addicted to alcohol, and Kaden was warlike. Neither of these twins was easy to deal with, and there was also Tony Lee. Although he was the eldest brother and strong enough, he was not very bright and was the type to act impulsively at the slightest disagreement. Kelly was trying to harm them!
"Why don't we just let these three brothers stay in Dunwald and let Flynn lead the army!" Several chieftains advised in a friendly manner!
"Hmph! If I don't let the three of them out, the Dunwald market will soon be torn down by them. It's better to let them harm those green skins!"
Galen didn't know that the Wildhammer side had already been settled. He was still preparing to mass-produce soldiers in Durotar. He didn't expect that his reputation among these Wildhammer clans was so good, and his prestige was directly worshipful. He could get soldiers directly if he wanted them, which was simply awesome.
