Chapter 100 - Emergency situation

Xin Gan received a call from Mrs. Cheng. She was still in the hospital, but not in the inpatient department. Instead, she was in the emergency room. Her period suddenly came, and her stomach hurt severely. She fainted in the elevator and was discovered. She was immediately sent to the emergency room.

She just woke up. The nurse was taking care of her beside her and asked gently, "Are you feeling better?"

"Well, it's okay. Thank you."

You're welcome. You should pay more attention to rest and don't overwork yourself.

Xin Gan nodded, feeling rather embarrassed for soiling her dress. The nurse brought her a coat and tied it around her waist, saying, "I'll lend it to you to wear first. And this one for you. You can change into it when you go to the bathroom."

Xin Gan kept thanking him. The nurse said, "You're welcome. It's all what we should do."

Xin Gan came out of the bathroom. The nurse gave her the medicine and said, "Take it first."

Could you leave a contact information? I'll wash the coat clean and bring it back to you.

"Well, just take it directly to the nurse's station. I'll be here these days."

"Ok."

Mrs. Cheng called and asked where she was and why she hadn't been seen in the ward.

Xin Gan hesitated and said, "I'm not in the ward. What's wrong?"

"Come to the ward. Come quickly." Cheng's father's voice couldn't hide his joy. "Come now."

Xin Gan had no choice but to go to the ward first.

The small coat tied around her waist matched her jeans well and didn't look out of place.

When she arrived at the ward, Xin Gan took a deep breath, adjusted her mood, and then pushed open the ward door and walked in.

What should be faced must always be faced.

Lady Cheng hurriedly took Xin Gan's hand and said, "Xin Xin, where did you go just now? Cheng Jiu has woken up. Do you know?"

It's not just Mrs. Cheng in the ward. Both Cheng's father and Cheng Hui are there, making it a lively and bustling place.

Especially when Cheng Hui chattered non-stop, her voice improved a little and she spoke with great enthusiasm, like a faucet that couldn't be turned off.

Cheng Jiu felt annoyed and his face turned extremely stinky. He asked Cheng Hui to be quiet. His gaze shifted and fell on Xin Gan, who had arrived late. He glanced at her and then averted his gaze, saying nothing.

Mrs. Cheng said, "Huihui, don't disturb your brother. He just woke up and still needs to recover. Don't make a fuss anymore."

Cheng Hui grinned and said, "I think my brother doesn't want to see us. Mom, let's go out first and make some space for them."

Mrs. Cheng suddenly understood and smiled, teasing her a few words. Her mood was really good.

"Yes, I'm confused. When Cheng Jiu woke up, it wasn't just us who was happy, but Xin Xin as well. You know, Xin Xin was really worried about you. It was Xin Xin who took care of you in the hospital all this time." "

Xin Gan was in a dilemma and didn't feel very at ease being teased by Mrs. Cheng's words.

When they all left the ward, it fell silent for a while. Xin Gan stood a little distance away from him. She stood there, not knowing what to say. She dryly found a topic and began to speak, saying, "Do you feel unwell anywhere?"

Cheng Jiu looked at her for quite a while, still thinking about what she could say. After holding it in for a long time, he asked him if he felt well. He laughed and said, "What do you think makes me look uncomfortable?"

Xin Gan: "..."

Cheng Jiu raised his hand with great difficulty, waved at her and said, "Come here."

Xin Gan hesitated and stepped forward.

What are you doing with the back of your hand behind your waist? What did you take?

Xin Gan said, "Nothing."

Cheng Jiu naturally didn't believe it. He tugged at the corner of his mouth and said, "Come over a bit. I'll tell you something."

"Speak up. I'll listen."

Cheng Jiu pretended to cough. Xin Gan hurriedly asked, "Is your throat uncomfortable?"

I'm a bit dizzy. Could you help me up? I've been lying down for too long.

Seeing his gloomy expression, Xin Gan didn't hesitate much and hurriedly went forward to help him.

Before she could even touch his arm, he reached out and grabbed her wrist. She didn't dare to struggle either, fearing she might touch him somewhere, so she let him hold her hand.

Cheng Jiu asked her in a low voice, "Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"

She was carrying a bag of medicine in the other hand. It was the dysmenorrhea medicine prescribed by the doctor. She was indeed a little uncomfortable at this moment.

She lowered her head and said, "I'm fine. Don't worry."

"Xin Gan, the doctor said that during the time I was in a coma, you have been taking care of me. Huh?"

Xin Gan blurted out subconsciously, "Didn't you come to settle accounts with me as soon as you woke up?"

Cheng Jiu laughed out loud, his chest heaving slightly, and coughed a few more times, but he was completely fine.

Xin Gan didn't dare to say anything more.

Cheng Jiu paused for a moment, looked at her face and said, "What kind of account is it? Do you think I'm so bad?"

"No." Xin Gan looked at him calmly, her eyes clear. She bit her lip and said in a low voice, "You're not bad. You're very good. Really very good."

Cheng Jiu didn't let go. He held her finger, placed it at his lips, kissed her finger and the back of her hand. She didn't refuse and looked at him in shock.

Cheng Jiu said, "Did I scare you?"

She flatly denied it: "No, I'm not that unfrightened."

She didn't want to show too much weakness in front of him. Even if she had a weak side, she couldn't show it easily. She was used to being strong.

Their eyes met. Cheng Jiu stared at her for a while and asked, "Then why are you crying?" Don't tell me there's sand in my eye.

"..." Xin Gan couldn't pretend any longer now. She lowered her head even more and said gloomily, "You just woke up. You'd better have a good rest first. I won't disturb you anymore."

Cheng Jiu ignored her and took the medicine from her hand to take a look. It was dysmenorrhea. His expression was complicated and he asked softly, "Does your stomach hurt?"

Xin Gan blushed and nodded. "I forgot the date. I didn't expect it to come all of a sudden today."

Cheng Jiu said, "Sit down first. I'll call Cheng back in."

"No, I'm fine now."

She had lost a lot of weight during this period. Cheng Jiu saw this and felt a bit heartbroken. He wasn't sure if she had been extremely worried when she realized something had happened to him.

Not long after Cheng Jiu woke up, the doctor came to examine him again. Xin Gan wanted to go out, but he stopped her and told her to stay in the ward and not to go out.

Xin Gan felt rather embarrassed, thinking that she would disturb the doctor's work. So she decided to go outside and wait first.

At this moment, Cheng Jiu couldn't even catch her and could only obediently follow the doctor's instructions.

Xin Gan called home and told her parents about Cheng Jiu waking up. Xin's mother immediately said she would come to visit, but Xin Gan stopped her. It was so late and not very convenient. It would be in time for her to come to the hospital tomorrow. Xin's father meant the same thing.

Xin Gan stood outside the ward, suddenly smiling, constantly feeling relieved in her heart. "It's okay, really okay."

After Cheng Jiu finished the examination, he asked the nurse to help call Xin Gan in. The nurse winked and said to Xin Gan outside, "Your boyfriend asked you to come in. I'm envious. You two have a good relationship. I'll secretly tell you that just now when he was inside for the examination, he wasn't very cooperative. Our doctor threatened that if you don't cooperate, you won't be allowed to come and see him."

Cheng Jiu also had a bad temper. He was afraid that Xin Gan would leave again at this moment, so he hurriedly finished checking and asked Xin Gan to come in and stay with him for a while.

Xin Gan entered the ward and said, "Why don't you have a thorough examination?"

Cheng Jiu said seriously, "All the necessary tests were done this morning." He was particularly assertive and said, "A group of people are just like studying specimens."

Xin Gan: "..." Isn't this the typical case of putting down the bowl and cursing?
