Chapter 5 - Past Can Never Be Ignored

Viviana climbed up the stairs, holding the big, cute bear, and she crawled onto her bunk bed. By turning her face towards the cuddly bear, she called out, "bubu". She pouted and dug her head into the chest of that bear. Imagining the past, she couldn't stop herself from crying.

She cuddled tightly and closed her eyes to sleep, but emotions hit her immensely and drowned her in the tide of yesterday, making her unable to breathe, to break free. She remembered cherished moments when she casually napped on his chest like that. The smile of him that every time made her bloom. Her heart pounded against her ribs, a desperate rhythm against the relentless tide of his presence in her mind. She was unable to part with the gifts he had given her. Even that cuddly bear.

"Happy birthday, my Vivi!" The words echoed in her head.

He was hiding the bear behind his back; she remembered the day when she was on cloud nine, the day when she was giggling, wearing the school uniform.

"So cute." A delighted smile appeared on her face. She grabbed and kissed the bear's head in a gesture.

"Hey, meet with my "Vivi"! She will take great care of you." He was knocking on that bear's head where she kissed. She remembered the chuckle sound that both made, and the first night when they ran from home to see snowfall on her birthday. The moment when he rubbed her hands and covered them in his coat to make her feel cosy and warm in the cold weather.

Tears dropped from her eyes that made the innocent, cuddly bear wet. She couldn't take control and at last burst out aloud.

Emmy slammed the nail polish bottle down; her lips parted after seeing her painted nails. Besides, Bella was ripping off her mask, but when Viviana burst out, both heard and shockingly rushed to see.

"Hey Viviana! Lovie, what happened? Everything is okay?" Bella asked sympathetically.

Emmy realised. "We should give her some time to cope." She glanced at the door.

"But, Emmy." Bella enquired. She ignored her and furiously went out.

On the other side,

Aidan was sitting in the cafeteria, enjoying every sip of his coffee and remembering the moment.

"Today was so tiring. I'm feeling aches in my body." Emris claimed.

While adding a bit of Sugar to his tea, Emris raised his gaze to see and smirked.

"Have you lost yourself?"

Aidan blinked slowly.

"What's so touchy about her?" He shrugged while taking a sip.

"I have told you! She showed up in my dream."

"Enough". Emris's tone went a little too harsh.

"You know, we see dreams because our eyes interpret the surroundings that we haven't even noticed daily."

"And…"

Aidan shrugged.

"I have never seen such an attractive lady before."

Emris gasped.

"See! She doesn't know you, and you don't know her. And that was just merely a dream, so don't get so touchy about her." He revealed.

"I know, but I don't know why she makes my heart leap when I see her." Aidan sipped the coffee. "And why are you avoiding me to know? What if we catch up? I think we should meet at once."

Emris nodded because he knew Aidan would never leave his path.

"Hey Emris?" A shrill tone of a woman echoed in the cafeteria. Aidan turned his head to see. A quite attractive lady, having a bob haircut and wearing a headband. She was looking a bit furious and aggressive while coming.

"Emris." She went nearer. He stood up from the chair, his expression was different to capture for Aidan.

She gasped a little when she arrived.

She turned her face towards Aidan before saying anything.

"Are you well?" He frowned when she asked and thought of something different about the topic.

"Emris, is that all?" She insulted him while staring at Aidan's eyes.

Emris coughed to show her a signal to shift the topic.

She nodded.

She was out of her emotions, was feeling insane in herself and pushed herself towards Aidan; he was off the topic at all. She grabbed his collar.

"Emmy?" He shouted.

Aidan cocked his eyebrow up, but he remained cold.

Other students who were sitting in the cafeteria turned their attention towards her. She was biting her lower lip in anger, but was not saying anything to him.

"Emmy! Leave his collar." Emris shouted again.

The sound, Emmy, he listened to and felt like something similar.

"You should remain healthy and fit, Aidan", she smirked and closed his collar button. He felt escaped and smiled awkwardly.

Emris pushed her and said, Please give me a minute, Aidan. And rushed out from the cafeteria while gripping her hand tightly..

Aidan remained speechless. "What the heck was that?" He frowned.

At the ground, he released her hand.

"What are you up-to?" He yelled.

"I'm not here to listen so don't forget we had a breakup." She stared with hollow eyes.

"Why are you yelling? What did he do? Why-why you misbehaved." He asked quietly.

"Yeah"

She clapped mockingly. "Viviana is bursting into half just because of your beloved friend, and you are saying what he did? Huh."

Emris smirked. "Emmy, go for now; I will explain each and everything to you later." He said, and saw him standing behind her.

She noticed, too.

He lost his expressions and turned pale as she could imagine.

Aidan was not getting anything, but the rude behaviour of that girl towards his friend and the pleading tone of Emris made him suspicious.
