Chapter 63 - The Celebration and the Shadows of Diplomacy

The grand hall of the Leaf Dukedom was adorned with vibrant decorations, shimmering lights, and an atmosphere brimming with elegance. Today was Janet's birthday celebration, and the entire noble circle of Clover Kingdom had gathered to honor the young lady of the dukedom.

As the guests murmured in awe, Janet walked toward the grand stage in a beautiful silk gown, her eyes glowing with joy. Duke John, Duchess Mary, and Sion followed behind her, carrying a specially made magical cake. When Janet cut the cake, a round of cheers and applause echoed.

The royal family of Clover stepped up, presenting elegant, well-crafted gifts, followed by the rest of the nobles. Once all had offered their respects, Janet turned toward Sion with a playful pout. "Big brother, where's my gift?"

Sion smiled. "Of course. Watch this."

He cast a portal magic spell, summoning a glowing circle in mid-air — a rare high-tier spell that left the crowd stunned. From the portal, he gently pulled out an intricately designed necklace. "This is for you, enchanted with layered protection spells. It will guard you from any harm." Janet gasped, delighted, hugging her brother tightly.

Then, he turned to Mary and gave her a necklace, followed by an enchanted ring to Duke John.

Sara leaned in with a grin. "I also want one, you know. It's beautiful."

Katherine smirked. "Same here. Don't forget about us."

Sion chuckled and handed each of them their own versions — personalized, beautifully crafted, and embedded with protective enchantments.

Soon after, the royal family of the Sidom Kingdom arrived, presenting Janet with a gift revered by elves — an ancient gemstone filled with life magic. The moment felt almost divine.

The celebration commenced in full swing. Music filled the air, laughter echoed, and toasts were raised. Sion, however, found himself constantly surrounded — but Sara and Katherine stayed close, warding off other eager noble daughters who were all too interested in him.

As the evening continued, Lucien from Sidom approached Sion, his tone casual but impressed. "Your magical tech is revolutionary. It's made governance a lot smoother on our end."

Sion nodded. " the mana conversion coil I gave your kingdom — it can store ambient magic and convert it into controlled energy bursts. It's just the beginning."

Before the discussion could go deeper, Leonard approached, his tone sharp. "Who exactly are you, Sion?"

Sion replied smoothly, "I'm doing well. And you?"

The tension was broken by King Nathan's arrival. "So, you've been busy introducing magical weapons, enough to defeat a battalion without lifting a sword?"

Sion smiled faintly. "I simply don't want my people harmed. If my curiosity helps protect them, I'll continue creating."

Nathan nodded. "An envoy from Bethel arrived today. They wish to speak with you. I've informed them that you'll be available tomorrow."

Sion's expression turned serious. "Perfect. I've been expecting them."
