No wonder why, Ryui was smiling.. Kuro grit his teeth and sat next to Ryui trying to hide his face from him. He could feel his gaze hitting him, Kuro kept his eyes from looking at Ryui and focused on the teacher talking.
After class was over, they were assigned homework, and Kuro didn't understand the lesson at all. Mizuki ran after Kuro walking behind him, "Did you learn anything from the math?" She asked, trying not to sound rude.
"No…" Kuro groaned, "Do you understand it? How?!" He was genuinely confused. "It's because I am an all A student!" She laughed, "Haha.. That's not the reason though,"
"Then what is it? Will you really be my tutor?" He clasped his hands together as if begging.
"I'm honored but I have a full schedule every day of the week! Maybe someone else can tutor you, Ryui is the top student in the school. But I know you wouldn't like him being your tutor," she scratched the back of her head.
Kuro sighed, "Who's the 2nd top student in the school?" He asked, "That would be me.." Mizuki replied back.
"The 3rd top student..?" He was getting desperate now, "Uhhh, I think that would be Yumi Tatsumi," She hesitantly responded. "Eh? Tatsumi..? Is that Ryui's sister?" Mizuki nodded to his question.
"I guess that It's fine.." Kuro decided that it was better than always getting D's in math. Mizuki cheered, "Alright! I don't have her number though, so you'll have to ask her yourself.
Kuro's pride then cracked, he wasn't known for being social. "Allrigghtt…" He groaned again.
"Do you know where she is?" Kuro asked. "She usually hangs out by the fountain, I'll go with you!" Kuro sighed once again and started walking towards the fountain. "What does she look like?"
Mizuki pointed to the girl with black hair and white highlights at the bottom of her hair. "That's her," Kuro was getting nervous? What if she's like her brother and pins him to the wall again? Is she gonna be as intimidating as Ryui..?
"C'mon..! Just go up to her," Mizuki persisted. Kuro started gaining up his courage and walked up to her.
"Uh, hey.. I heard you were one of the top students in the school, and I was wondering if you could tutor me in math..!" He hesitated. Yumi turned around, "Hm..? Yeah! I am! And of course I can tutor you," she replied cheerfully.
Kuro was amazed, She's like the total opposite of Ryui..! "Let's see.. You can come to my house every.." She was thinking, "How about every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday..?" Kuro finished for her.
"Sure." Yumi was then cut off when Ryui went in front of her, blocking Kuro from seeing Yumi. "What do you think you're doing?" Ryui's voice was low, and very serious.. "I- Uh…" Yumi jumped in, "Ryui! He's just asking me to be his tutor in math!" She sounded angry.
"I don't need you protecting me all the time!" She snapped.
