Chapter 38 - 337

Just as Su Yu was still speculating, Shui Lingguang, who had left earlier, returned.

She raised her jade-like hand, and a beam of purple light appeared, transforming into a purple lotus platform.

The Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform had the effects of dispelling external evils, calming the mind, aiding in cultivation, and nourishing the soul.

This was also a type of rare treasure from nature, but unlike those meant to be consumed, it was used as an aid for cultivation.

When cultivating with the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform, one would almost never experience deviations or inner demons.

However, Su Yu had always used the Ice Jade Marrow Bed for cultivation, so the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform had been left unused.

Today, using it to assist in the transformation of this 100,000-year soul beast embryo seemed just right.

Nodding to Shui Lingguang, Su Yu gently waved his sleeve, and the lotus platform floated up, landing two meters in front of him.

"Little one, come over."

Su Yu looked at the deep blue mass of airflow in the distance, still radiating an aura of shyness, and beckoned.

The deep blue airflow moved up and down slightly, almost as if it were hesitating like a shy human.

But ultimately, the temptation of transformation proved stronger. With a swish, the deep blue airflow rushed over.

It circled the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform twice, fluttered up and down, then rushed toward Su Yu, circling him several times and radiating a strong sense of joy.

It seemed like a child who had seen something exciting, flipping around in happiness.

Su Yu confirmed once again that the intelligence of this 100,000-year-old soul beast embryo was still immature.

It seemed a bit too simple-minded.

"Alright, alright, no need to thank me. Just focus on your transformation first."

Feeling the emotions of the deep blue airflow, Su Yu chuckled and pointed to the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform.

"Whoosh~"

The deep blue airflow circled Su Yu twice more before rushing to the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform at high speed, leaving behind a beautiful trail.

The deep blue airflow surged above the lotus platform, floating mid-air and forming into a condensed mass.

Soon, the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform began emitting faint purple light, which gathered toward the center where the deep blue airflow was.

As the purple light converged, the deep blue mass began emitting a deep blue radiance of its own, carrying a faint sense of vast and surging power.

This pure yet majestic deep blue radiance caused Snow Empress's beautiful eyes to widen instantly.

She abruptly turned to look at Su Yu, her gaze filled with shock.

"It is the dual attributes of Ultimate Water and Ultimate Light…"

Facing this kind of aura, Snow Empress immediately confirmed it.

Dual ultimate attributes—what kind of soul beast could this possibly be?

Even with Snow Empress's knowledge spanning tens of thousands of years, her heart was filled with waves of astonishment.

A soul beast with just one ultimate attribute was already considered one of the most powerful among super soul beasts. But two ultimate attributes?

At the same level, even she and Bing Di would be far inferior to such a soul beast.

What exactly was this creature?

"Don't ask me. I can't tell either. I don't remember any marine soul beast with dual ultimate attributes," Su Yu said casually as he stared ahead.

Snow Empress frowned slightly. Su Yu didn't know either?

Su Yu was an expert in the knowledge of soul beasts, possessing insights from the Star Dou Great Forest, the Extreme North, and the human world combined.

It could be said that there was almost no one on the continent more knowledgeable about soul beasts than him.

If even Su Yu didn't recognize it, who else could?

"Could it be the Sea God Dragon?" Snow Empress speculated.

The Sea God Dragon was a legendary and immensely powerful marine soul beast, even known to Snow Empress.

"Impossible. The Sea God Dragon might possess the Ultimate Water attribute, but it could never have the Ultimate Light attribute.

To possess the Ultimate Light attribute, in a sense, represents a kind of divine status," Su Yu said calmly.

Snow Empress furrowed her brows. So it wasn't the Sea God Dragon either?

Then what was it?

After pondering for a long time, Snow Empress still couldn't figure out the origin of this soul beast and sighed lightly.

"Our understanding of marine soul beasts is still too limited," she said.

Su Yu nodded, agreeing deeply.

The ocean was vast and boundless, containing countless marine soul beasts, far more than those on land.

In terms of overall strength, marine soul beasts could easily surpass land-based soul beasts by a significant margin.

If it weren't for the presence of Di Tian supporting the land soul beasts, even the highest-level combat strength might have been claimed by marine soul beasts.

Su Yu had never underestimated marine soul beasts.

While the two of them were conversing, the transformation of the marine soul beast was gradually progressing.

A deep blue light barrier expanded outward, obscuring their view.

Inside the light barrier, the original deep blue mass began to slowly solidify.

"Let's sit for now. A 100,000-year soul beast's transformation is bound to take a long time," Su Yu said to Snow Empress.

Snow Empress nodded, following Su Yu to step back and sit down on a meditation mat.

Soon, two hours passed.

Suddenly, the deep blue light barrier burst with radiant light, and a massive shadow appeared.

It was a gigantic whale, deep blue, its entire body glowing faintly.

Its streamlined body was breathtakingly beautiful, its appearance far more exceptional than ordinary whale-type soul beasts.

What was truly surprising was that the whale possessed a pair of dazzling silver eyes, and at the junction of its pectoral fins and body, it was covered with silver scales.

These scales were incredibly fine, sparkling, and mysterious.

"This… what is this?"

Snow Empress stared at the shadow in a daze, realizing this was the true form of the 100,000-year marine soul beast.

But what kind of soul beast was this?

Beside her, Su Yu muttered to himself. These silver scales… why did they feel so familiar?

They were strikingly similar to the silver dragon scales on Gu Yuena back then, equally smooth and elegant.

Could this soul beast possibly have some connection to Gu Yuena?

That… couldn't be, could it?

Su Yu murmured inwardly, his gaze fixed intently on the scene.

Upon closer inspection, he discovered another feature.

On the whale's head, there was a mysterious silver marking, faintly exuding some kind of extraordinary power.

Su Yu's curiosity grew stronger. What kind of soul beast was this?

He didn't have to wait long. After the massive whale shadow appeared, the deep blue light barrier suddenly erupted with light.

The next moment, a sound like shattering glass echoed, and the deep blue light barrier slowly disintegrated.

Within the protective barrier, a figure gradually emerged.

It was a girl around thirteen or fourteen years old, wearing a deep blue long dress. Her pristine, jade-like feet rested on a Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform.

She had long, dark blue hair and silvery eyes that were clear yet noble.

Between her brows was a silver marking, adding an air of mystery.

Her face was exceedingly delicate, nearly flawless—almost comparable to the Snow Empress herself.

Her small face still retained a hint of baby fat, and when she smiled, two dimples appeared, making her look particularly charming.

Her demeanor was pure and holy, with an innocent and naïve expression in her brows and eyes.

She blinked her watery, bright eyes as she observed Su Yu and the others. Tilting her head slightly, she exuded an indescribable cuteness.

"This… how is this possible? How can this be?"

The Snow Empress was stunned—yet again.

Seeing the girl before her appear directly in the form of someone thirteen or fourteen years old left her in disbelief.

It was impossible.

How could this be?

Soul beasts that achieved their human form after a hundred thousand years always began as children. At most, they wouldn't appear older than six years old.

For a soul beast to appear in human form at thirteen or fourteen years old was almost unheard of.

It didn't make sense—this was completely illogical.

Su Yu narrowed his eyes. As expected, his guess was correct.

This was no ordinary hundred-thousand-year soul beast.

It was too simple—too innocent.

While soul beasts were generally more innocent than humans, by the time they reached the hundred-thousand-year level, their thoughts would have matured to an adult-like state.

But this soul beast before him had a childlike disposition.

Su Yu suspected that this soul beast wasn't as old as she appeared—she might not even have a hundred-thousand-year cultivation.

"Big brother, big sister, why are you staring at Lanlan like that? Is there something on Lanlan's face?"

The girl touched her face and asked in confusion.

"Nothing," Su Yu replied with a smile, his gaze soft and warm. "Your name is Lanlan?"

"Yep! Nice name, right?"

The girl giggled.

"It's a very nice name," Su Yu said without hesitation, giving her a thumbs-up.

The girl named Lanlan immediately broke into a happy smile.

She leaped lightly off the Soul-Nurturing Lotus Platform and ran up to Su Yu.

She leaned her small head closer, sniffed gently, and smiled sweetly. "Big brother, you smell so nice. Lanlan likes you a lot."

Su Yu raised an eyebrow and glanced at the Snow Empress beside him. "What about this big sister? Doesn't she smell nice?"

Lanlan moved closer to the Snow Empress, then quickly backed away several steps. A hint of fear flickered in her beautiful eyes. "Big sister feels so cold. Lanlan's scared. Big sister feels like she's made of ice."

The Snow Empress was startled.

As the spirit of ice and snow, wasn't she essentially a being condensed from frost and ice?

Yet this seemingly innocent and naïve girl could sense her essence?

Wait…

What about Su Yu?

The Snow Empress hadn't thought much of it before, but now it seemed that the girl had also sensed something unusual about Su Yu.

Otherwise, why would she say Su Yu smelled so "nice"?

Didn't she already know whether Su Yu smelled good or not?

Su Yu's scent was refreshing at best—there was no way it could be described as fragrant.

What this girl was referring to must have been something deeply hidden within Su Yu. It couldn't possibly be his physical scent.

This was unbelievable. Even the Snow Empress, who shared a close bond with Su Yu, couldn't fully grasp his depths. And yet, this little girl could sense something?

What on earth was she?

The Snow Empress grew increasingly curious. She couldn't hold back anymore and asked, "Lanlan, what kind of soul beast are you?"

The girl pointed to herself, tilting her head in confusion. "Big sister, are you asking Lanlan?"

The Snow Empress nodded.

The girl tilted her head in thought and replied, "Aunt Lan said Lanlan is a Nethersea Blue Whale."

"Who is Aunt Lan?" the Snow Empress pressed.

The girl looked at her in confusion and replied innocently, "Aunt Lan is Aunt Lan, of course."

The Snow Empress: "…"

The confused look on the girl's face almost made her lose her composure.

The Snow Empress took a deep breath and asked, "Big sister wants to know what kind of soul beast Aunt Lan is."

The girl tilted her head again and said, "I don't know. Aunt Lan never told me."
