Thanks to Tsunade's no-nonsense attitude, the Hokage inauguration ceremony wrapped up quickly.

And honestly? Everyone was relieved.

Who actually likes sitting through long-winded speeches?

Ino Yamanaka and the others didn't stick around—they had to return to the Academy. Even an event as major as a Hokage transition only warranted a half-day break.

Sōma headed straight for the Hokage Building.

Outside Tsunade's office, he overheard an argument.

"Tsunade, the Uchiha clan now consists of a single child—Sasuke."

Homura Mitokado's stern voice carried through the door. "He's too young to manage such a vast inheritance. It should be handed over to Konoha."

Anyone listening might've mistaken this for genuine concern.

"Exactly," Koharu Utatane chimed in. "Sasuke is only seven. Suddenly inheriting such wealth could corrupt him. Money might ruin his future."

Sōma nearly laughed out loud.

In the original timeline, Sasuke Uchiha—after marrying Sakura—had struggled financially, even burdened with a mortgage.

The Uchiha, once Konoha's most powerful clan, had to have been loaded.

As the sole heir, Sasuke's poverty was definitely the doing of Konoha's elders. Even if Hiruzen Sarutobi hadn't intervened, Danzo, Koharu, and Homura wouldn't have let that fortune slip away.

But now, there was a new Hokage.

"And who do you propose should manage it?" Tsunade's voice was deceptively calm, though her anger simmered beneath. "The two of you?"

Koharu and Homura exchanged glances, their lips curling into smug smiles.

Of course. Tsunade's just taken office—she has no allies yet.

"We'd be more than capable," Homura declared, stepping forward with an air of righteousness. "We'll safeguard the Uchiha assets until Sasuke comes of age."

"Shameless!" Tsunade's fist slammed onto the desk. "You two old vultures think I don't see through you?"

"Tsunade!" Koharu's face darkened. "We're your elders. Are you really turning on us the moment you become Hokage?"

"Elders? Ha!" Tsunade's glare could've melted steel. "What kind of 'elders' steal from an orphan?"

"Steal? It's called trusteeship!" Homura's face flushed crimson.

Since when did Konoha's affairs sound so vulgar?

"I. Am. The. Hokage." Tsunade wasn't wasting another second. "This matter is mine to handle. Stay out of it."

Now she understood why Hiruzen and Danzo had always ended arguments this way.

It just works.

Koharu and Homura looked ready to cough up blood.

Losing such a fortune right before their eyes was agony.

But with Tsunade pulling rank, pushing further would mean open hostility.

"You'll regret this, Tsunade!"

The two stormed out, tossing the classic villain exit line behind them.

Sōma frowned.

Hey! That's MY line!

You two are dead meat.

Nobody steals my script!

Tsunade exhaled, slumping into her chair.

Being Hokage is exhausting.

If not for paving the way for Sōma, she'd never have taken this job. Endless bickering with those fossils? No thanks.

Leaning back, she stretched out, her body lax in the Hokage's plush seat.

Alone, she let herself relax completely.

Her thin top clung to her curves, her long legs crossed and swaying idly, her bare toes peeking from her sandals.

"Sis."

Sōma's voice snapped her from her daze.

He stepped inside, blinking at the sight of her unguarded, languid posture.

Guess arguing with the elders really took it out of her.

"Oh, you're here." Tsunade's lashes fluttered as she regarded him. "You heard all that?"

"Every word."

Moving behind her, Sōma placed his hands on her shoulders, kneading gently through the fabric.

Tsunade sighed as tension melted away under his touch, her mood lifting.

"So, what would you do?"

"Leave it to Sasuke, of course."

Sōma had some principles.

Besides, money-making schemes were endless—why rob a kid?

"At least you've got a conscience." Tsunade's lips quirked as she shut her eyes again.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

Annoyed, Sōma stopped massaging. Instead, he took her hands—small, soft—and leaned in, resting his chin on her shoulder.

He inhaled her scent, then suddenly nipped at her earlobe.

A quick flick of his tongue.

"Ah—!"

Tsunade's eyes flew open.

From her cheeks to the tips of her ears, her skin burned crimson, as if blood might seep through at the slightest pressure.

Her body shuddered, her pulse skyrocketed—and she slumped bonelessly into the chair.

"S-Sorry…" Her voice was a breathy whimper.

"Good girl." Sōma released her, smug.

"Y-You—!"

Tsunade's breath hitched. In one fluid motion, she launched herself up, slamming him against the wall.

"You've got some nerve, brat!"

Sōma hadn't even seen her move.

One second he was gloating, the next—pinned.

Women. Faster than flipping a page.

Now what?

Trapped, no escape.

"Uh… sis… j-just kidding?"

Faced with her fury, Sōma's survival instincts kicked in. He backpedaled hard. "Sorry! Won't happen again!"

"Kidding?!"

A vein throbbed at Tsunade's temple. The memory of that unfamiliar sensation only stoked her rage.

Still unsatisfied, she shoved him to the floor—and stomped on him.

(Though not too hard. She'd at least kicked off her sandals first.)

Bare feet, flawless legs, terrifying strength.

Sōma regretted not wearing thicker clothes.

"Sorry."

Seeing his pitiful state, Tsunade's anger wavered. She hauled him up.

"Don't. Do that. Again."

"Never!" Sōma clasped his hands in prayer.

Noticing her bare feet, he quickly knelt.

"Here, sis, let me help you with your shoes."

"Hmph. About time."

Tsunade sat back down, extending her right foot.

Sōma cradled her cool, silky skin—the kind of touch that made letting go unthinkable.

But to avoid suspicion, he slid her sandal on swiftly.

Tsunade's chest tightened.

The way he'd handled her foot—like something precious—struck a chord.

Maybe he's not so bad after all.

"Alright, scram." She waved him off. "I've got Uchiha clan affairs to sort out."

"Got it."

Sōma didn't overstay. With no official position yet, meddling would raise eyebrows.

The moment he left, Tsunade locked the office door.

She exhaled shakily.

Thank goodness I brought spare clothes. That could've been messy.
