Chapter 5 - Zone 1

After reading the information a bright light overcame them.

As the light faded and the last of the frost-mist blew away, Aquarius found himself back in the library.

But it wasn't just him anymore.

Jagara stood at his side—radiant, real, and undeniably present.

Her tail flicked lazily behind her, eyes gleaming with amusement… and something deeper. Possessiveness. Pride. Hunger.

She sauntered behind Aquarius, wrapping her arms around his neck. Her large breasts pressed against his back as she leaned in with a purr that vibrated against his skin.

"Ready to take m—"

The door burst open.

"Aquarius, the ceremony is about to star—!"

Shia stood in the doorway, eyes wide, mouth hanging open in stunned disbelief.

Jagara's brow arched high. She gave a smirk that could slice steel.

"What? You want to touch on Master as well?"

Aquarius raised a brow but said nothing. He simply… observed.

Shia blinked, then scowled. "Who… are you? I've never seen you here before."

Jagara's grin widened, still draped around him like a claiming serpent.

"So you do want to touch him. The jealousy is obvious—I can smell it."

"Wha?! I—I'm not—!"

"No worries." Jagara giggled. "I don't mind sharing. Consider it an apology for almost killing you all." Then her tone dropped to ice. "But break his heart, and I will hang you by your ovarie—"

"Jagara."

Aquarius chuckled, shaking his head. 'This is so much better in person than reading about it.' He thought.

He gently ran his fingers down her arm, then peeled her off of him. A soft purr of protest vibrated in her throat.

"Preciate your concern, but no need to scare Shia away."

"Just letting her know the terms." Jagara smirked again, unapologetically.

Aquarius turned toward Shia. "If you haven't figured it out yet—she was the Sub-Zero Jaguar. And, uh… I'll have to apologize, but I won't make the celebration."

The realization dawned in Shia's eyes like a lightning bolt.

"You… you have that thing here? After what she did to us? To my brother?!"

'Well, that escalated quickly.' Aquarius thought.

He could feel Jagara's aura flare—anger rising like a blizzardstorm. Time to go.

"We'll be taking our leave." He nodded. "Thanks for the hospitality."

"I'm not letting you both leave until that thing is dead."

Shia's voice shook with fury as she prepared to raise the alarm. Her lips parted—ready to shout for the village.

Jagara stepped forward.

But Aquarius was faster. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into him, stopping her in place.

Her eyes met his—blazing, confused, hurt beneath the anger.

Rejection?

He didn't like seeing that.

Without hesitation, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers.

Cold and spicy. A paradox in motion.

Her expression melted. She deepened the kiss with a moan of approval as ice swirled around them—forming a cocoon of shimmering frost.

Shia could only watch as the shell formed, pulsed… and shattered into sparkling particles.

They were gone.

Elsewhere

The cocoon exploded in a cascade of icy sparks as they reappeared. Aquarius slowly pulled back, breath warm against her lips.

Jagara's eyes fluttered open, a sultry smile curving her mouth.

"Experienced and seasoned..too bad I'm not your first." she teased.

He grinned, hand sliding down her back until it grabbed a handful of her soft, plump ass. "First beast girl though, so that counts, right?"

Her tail wagged happily. "I suppose it does…"

Aquarius's eyes shifted forward, catching a sign up ahead.

[Zone 1: Northern Defense Academy]

"Well shit. Got here faster than expected.." he muttered, taking in the looming gates.

They stood before a high-tech fortress disguised as a university—sleek black walls pulsing with blue energy, turrets scanning every direction, and a dome shielding the upper grounds like a divine barrier.

This world was divided into four zones:

Zone 1 - Northern Defense.

Zone 2 - Eastern Vanguard.

Zone 3 - Western Guard.

Zone 4 - Forbidden South.

The first three zones each held prestigious academies, where Tamers and Judicators were trained to protect humanity from the rising threat of Thresholds.

Zone 4? That was wild territory—off-limits to all but the elite because of the amount of Thresholds, monsters, and beasts there were.

And Northern Defense Academy? It was where the best of the best trained.

No way this was a coincidence.

Still, Aquarius wasn't complaining. He wanted to blend in, continue to learn the world, and plus he always wanted to experience a novel academy anyways.

Hopefully it wouldn't be too much trouble.

"Didn't expect that kiss to teleport us to an academy," Jagara said with a mischievous smile. "I wanted a bedroom."

Aquarius laughed and stepped forward.

A red light scanned across their bodies.

[Unknown students detected. Analyzing core…]

[Host recognized.]

[Welcome, Tamer Aquarius. Proceed to Initiation Grounds with the other new arrivals.]

'Whew…' Aquarius exhaled mentally. 'Thought I was in trouble for a second.'

Then, a voice whispered in his head, almost scaring the shit out of him.

'Should I hide myself, Master?'

'Wait—we can talk telepathically?'

Jagara nodded, smiling. 'Of course. It's part of our bond.'

'Nice. And nah, no need to hide. I read some students fuse with their beasts. Tails, claws, horns—pretty normal here.'

"Alright, Master." she said aloud, taking his arm as they walked together.

The campus came into view—dozens of students, some with wings, others with glowing beast marks or hybrid features. It was like a cross between a military base and an anime magic academy.

'Damn… this really does feel like RWBY with the Faunus and everything,' Aquarius thought. 'But hey—looks like it's gonna be one hell of a time.'

And he wouldn't complain one bit.
