Chapter 58 - CHAPTER 54

Chapter 54: A New World of Possibilities

The girls stepped out into the hallway of the academy, their hearts pounding with excitement as they explored their new surroundings. Yue led the way, her bright blue eyes sparkling with curiosity. The dorms were unlike anything they had ever seen in Sujin village. The soft lighting, the soft beds, the sleek designs—it was like a whole new world.

"So, how's your room?" Mei Qui asked, eyes wide with excitement.

"Mine's great!" Yue grinned, motioning for her gang to follow her. "But I think Lin's bed is bigger."

"Why is everything so… plush here?" Shu Fen marveled, rubbing the luxurious material of her blankets. "I feel like I'm sleeping in a cloud!"

The girls moved from room to room, teasing each other about who had the comfiest bed or the most stylish furniture. But as they were joking around in the hall, a sudden presence caught Yue's attention. She turned her head toward the common area, and her eyes locked on a figure that stood out like a beacon among the sea of students.

A handsome boy with soft, delicate features. He stood surrounded by a group of adoring girls, all giggling and fluttering around him like moths to a flame. His fine golden hair shimmered under the lights, and his perfectly tailored uniform hugged his frame in all the right places.

Yue tilted her head, feeling a flicker of intrigue. The other girls were already whispering excitedly.

"Look at him… the perfect mix of pretty and handsome!" Lian laughed, nudging Yue. "You should go talk to him."

Yue smirked. "Oh, I'm definitely thinking about it."

But as she watched him for a moment longer, something struck her—he looked uncomfortable. The girls surrounding him were doing everything they could to get his attention: one was trying to brush his hair back, another was giggling excessively at whatever he said, and yet another was leaning in far too close, clearly vying for his attention.

"Poor guy," Yue muttered. "I think he's a bit overwhelmed by all the attention."

"Well, we're village girls," Mei Qui teased with a wink, "so we're really good at getting attention."

The girls laughed as Yue's gaze locked onto the boy again, a mischievous idea bubbling up in her mind.

"Let's give him a proper greeting," Yue said, her voice laced with amusement.

Without warning, Yue raised her voice, loud enough for the entire group of girls around the boy to hear.

"Oh wow! He's prettier than my dad!" Yue shouted with a grin, her voice carrying across the room.

The group of girls froze, and one by one, their heads snapped toward Yue. The boy blinked, clearly startled by the loud outburst.

"Look at those long lashes! He's literally glowing!" Shu Fen added loudly, her voice full of playful admiration.

The other girls in Yue's gang began to join in, their voices mixing in a chorus of bold praise:

"I'd faint if he smiled at me!"

"He looks like he belongs in a magazine!"

A sharp, uncomfortable silence hung in the air for a moment as the elite boy's face turned beet red. The surrounding girls gawked at Yue and her gang, who stood there laughing and winking.

"You village girls sure know how to make an entrance," one of the elite girls sneered. "Are you trying to make a scene?"

"Why? You can't handle a little attention?" Yue shot back with a wink, her voice teasing.

Before the girl could respond, one of the elite boys standing behind her smiled. His long hair shimmered under the light, and his delicate features seemed like something out of a storybook. His golden eyes flicked between Yue and her gang, his lips curling into a small smirk.

"It's all right," he said, his voice soft but clear. "It's not every day that people are this… expressive. I guess I'll have to get used to it."

Yue's grin widened as she noticed the boy's calm reaction to the teasing. He wasn't fazed. In fact, he seemed amused, and a little intrigued.

"You girls are definitely not from around here, are you?" he asked, his voice smooth like silk.

Yue stood tall, her gaze never leaving his. "Nope. We're from Sujin village."

"I could tell," he said, his voice quiet but warm. "The energy's a little different. But I like it."

Before Yue could respond, the sound of a small ding echoed in her mind. She froze for a moment, an unexpected notification flashing before her eyes.

Ding. Sub Quest: Talk to the Elite Boy and Invite Him to Your Dorm.

Reward: +30 Stat Points, 2 Random Stat Unlocks

Yue smirked inwardly, glancing back at her gang. This is it. She was on the mission now.

With a confident stride, Yue stepped forward, closing the distance between her and the boy. The girls around him were still whispering to each other, but they watched Yue closely, clearly curious to see what would happen next.

"Well, I've never met anyone quite like you before," Yue said, her voice dripping with charm. "Mind showing me around a bit? I'm sure you have some secrets about this school I'd love to hear."

The boy tilted his head slightly, a curious glimmer dancing in his golden eyes. "I don't mind showing you around, but I'm curious—what's your name?"

"Lin Yue," she replied simply, grinning. "And you?"

"Felix," he said, his smile now broader than before. "Nice to meet you, Yue."

She extended a hand toward him, and Rian shook it, his hand warm and firm. Yue noticed that he seemed to carry an air of effortless elegance, but beneath that, there was something more—something she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"I'll take you up on that tour," Yue said, her grin widening as she stepped back toward her gang. "Let's go. I'll show you the ropes around here. You might even get some special perks."

Felix raised an eyebrow but seemed intrigued by her boldness. "I'm curious. Lead the way."

And just like that, Yue had made her move. The Sub Quest was officially in play.
