Dude: i for sure knew that we would return anyways.
Dasch: that's what's happening as we all see here.
Dude: i can't quite decide where to begin.
Dasch: none of us ever did.
Dude: i just know that it's been not so straightforward.
Dasch: that's actually the case for all things. there's no such thing as straight. i'm sure you've seen none that's straight.
Dude: well, let me get back to you on that. if i can search for it...
Dasch: i'm telling you. you won't find it. as i told you, it doesn't exist.
Dude: before you conclude, listen to this. i'm straight born from my parents.
Dasch: what does that even mean. how can you be born straight? that doesn't make sense. unless you have a come back for that.
Dude: you see we all have family trees.
Dasch: you mean like a family map?
Dude: yeah i'm a straight descendant from my parents. there was no one in between my birth and my parents.
Dasch: you do have a brother though. so that means...
Dude: but think about it. my brother was born straight from them too. so we are basically two straight lines from our parents.
Dasch: hmm. i see what you are getting at. but how do we know that that linkage is straight or not curved?
Dude: i mean why would that link be curved? there is no other things or distractions of sort to prevent it from being straight.
Dasch: but if you have brother next to you, it can make your line to your parents curvy.
Dude: look, my brother on family tree wouldn't have any effect on my line to my parents. i wouldn't affect his line to his parents or, i meant, our parents.
Dasch: but then how could you and your brother have no attraction at all. all family members have some kind of bond among one another.
Dude: that bond might be there like an air but it wouldn't curve my bond to my parents.
Dasch: but then how do you know your bond line with your parents is just straight.
Dude: because it's like a channel between us and we communicate and interact through that channel.
Dasch: okay but how do you know that channel is so straight? it would mean that your attraction and their attraction are equal in power or strength. it would have to be in a perfect give and take balance.
Dude: hmm. i think you might have a point there. although i'm tempted to see how that's not the case.
Dasch: look, you can't deny that your parents or your caregivers have given more than you've given back to them.
Dude: i don't think i could ever give back the same they've given me.
Dasch: that's what i'm saying. it would mean then the line won't be straight. the line on your end will have a thicker end because all that have been given and accumulated to you.
Dude: and because the ending on my side will be thicker, the line will inevitably have a curve of sort.
Dasch: right the line will widen out as it runs from your parents to you.
Dude: well then do i ever have a way to straight this out?
Dasch: that, i don't have a good answer to. but if i can stick to what i said earlier. there is no such straight line to be found anywhere.
Dude: how about an equator around the globe and all other lines such as altitudes and latitudes.
Dasch: they may seem straight at first but...
Dude: what else is there to consider?
Dasch: that actually doesn't make sense because earth is not a perfect sphere.
Dude: wait but you can still have them go through the sphere as straight lines.
Dasch: no, you see those lines then have to be curved again eventually.
Dude: why is that?
Dasch: because if they are wrapping around the sphere, they have to be curved as much as the globe's surface.
Dude: ah crap you are right. i guess then i am really running out of examples.
Dasch: ah crap.
Dude: what is it.
Dasch: i wish it didn't occur to me but there is an axis.
Dude: oh you mean the axis the globe turns around?
Dasch: yeah that is like a straight iron skewer that penetrates from one end to another end of the globe.
Dude: wait but then as you said, the globe isn't a perfect sphere so may be that axis isn't perfectly straight either.
Dasch: oh... yeah... well i guess then, i'm still right and that you are losing here.
Dude: well, i guess i have no other resorts. i accept my loss.
Dasch: what can i say, even this whole process wasn't straightforward.
Dude: i think you've made your point.
Dasch: yeah it's a straight loss for you. wait what?
Dude:...oh so that is straight?
Dasch: but how can a loss be straight...?
Dude: i don't know it's a straight win for you, why don't you just take it?
Dasch: ugh. yeah. well. umm. yeah. i don't know. we've had enough.
Dude: i don't mind. let's stop straight right here.
