The battlefield was growing increasingly intense—
And increasingly chaotic.
Naturally, some took advantage of the confusion to sneak around and stir up trouble.
A certain mage screamed, "WTF?! Which damn assassin pulled down my pants?!"
A certain priest who had been stunned by repeated [Kidney Strikes] yelled, "Bro, stop groping me and go kill someone instead…"
A certain assassin: "Hehehehehe…"
When it comes to being pervy, no class can outdo assassins...
As for the Emperor of Cloud City, who had already died twice and just revived again, he had finally learned his lesson. This time, he stood far in the back, well out of Jiang Bai's reach, before he dared to start giving orders again.
Despite the chaos, he even managed to cobble together a few temporary squads specifically targeting Empty City's Dream.
"Ranged Group 3, focus fire on the priests behind Empty City's Dream! Take out their healers first!"
"Shadow Assassins, Group 2, get in there too!"
It was clear from the way they coordinated that these guys were veterans at commanding.
Those little priests included members organized by Stardust MoMo as well as others who had gathered spontaneously. In a team battle, priests had just one job: healing.
Stardust MoMo's goal was simple—keep Empty City's Dream alive.
So when two assault groups suddenly targeted them, her side quickly fell into disorder.
Even the 100-man protection team that Stardust Left Bank had arranged in advance was starting to feel the pressure. The sheer difference in numbers was hard to compensate for.
Jiang Bai, eyes still bloodshot from battle, didn't even notice the situation behind him. As soon as the Emperor of Cloud City and Carefree Breeze reappeared on the battlefield, he locked onto them like a hawk.
"Heh, think hiding's gonna save you?"
With a predator's smirk tugging at his lips, Jiang Bai raised his longbow at a 60-degree angle. A dazzling light condensed at the tip of the arrow—at a distance, it looked like a miniature sun.
"[Eagle Eye Shot]!"
Whoosh!
The sleek arrow shot into the sky, tracing a beautiful arc across the blue canvas above.
Then it plummeted.
Its spinning tip radiated a deadly aura, growing larger in the wide, horrified eyes of the Emperor of Cloud City.
In that instant, to him, it was no longer an arrow—it was the reaper's spear.
Pshhk!
The black-iron arrow pierced through his right eye and exited the back of his skull, its force so immense that it pinned him straight into the ground.
"-1201!"
"One-shot kill!!!"
Next to the Emperor, Carefree Breeze turned pale with terror, practically wetting himself, trembling like a leaf in a storm.
"Holy—!!"
"You've gotta be kidding me!!"
He stared in shock at the Emperor's lifeless body, then slowly turned his confused gaze to Jiang Bai in the distance—his entire worldview collapsing.
"Is this a joke? A prank!?"
"Is he cheating!?"
What he just witnessed was beyond anything Carefree Breeze could comprehend. They were at the rear of the army, at least 50 yards away from Jiang Bai. A distance they believed to be perfectly safe.
"Isn't the max range for archers like… 30 yards!?"
As Jiang Bai looked straight at him with a devilish grin, Carefree Breeze panicked and turned tail to run.
"Protect me! Everyone protect me! Priests, cast Holy Shield on me!!"
"I'm not losing another two levels!!"
Jiang Bai grinned.
Bosses really did drop the good stuff.
[Eagle Eye Shot] had come from a boss he'd barely had time to loot. It was a B-rank archer skill, and Jiang Bai had learned it on the spot.
Now, it was proving invaluable.
[Eagle Eye Shot] (B-Rank)Skill Description: Deals 150% single-target damage. Doubles the user's attack range during use. 20-second cooldown.
"Damage might not be crazy, but the mechanic is wild." Jiang Bai was realizing that Genesis's skills weren't about raw damage—they stood out because of their unique mechanics.
With this, he hit his skill limit: five. To learn more, he'd need to change classes and level up.
...
After killing the Emperor of Cloud City, Jiang Bai didn't bother chasing Carefree Breeze. For one, the distance was too great. More importantly, he'd finally noticed the trouble behind him.
The little priests had no real self-defense, and after the enemy mages and assassins charged in, their numbers started dropping fast.
Noticing a sharp decline in healing received, Jiang Bai casually popped a special potion, turned around, and launched a [Multi-Shot]!
Since Stardust MoMo had switched to team mode and added Jiang Bai to the group, he wasn't worried about damaging friendly players with his AoE skills.
With the enemy packed so densely, his Multi-Shot hit over 30 targets. The screen instantly filled with red damage numbers, with multiple critical hits.
"Damn that's satisfying!!!"
At that moment, Jiang Bai couldn't help but marvel at the broken power of [Multi-Shot]—this skill was born for large-scale battles.
The second shot was also a crit.
Jiang Bai noticed that as long as he had 20+ targets, crits were basically guaranteed.
After firing three volleys in a row, even Jiang Bai himself was thrilled. The three shots alone had done over 10,000 damage, and his HP had shot back to full.
That barrage, combined with damage from other Stardust members, took the heat off the priest squads. Those who had died were already reviving and hurrying back to rejoin the fight.
What's the real point of PvP in a game?
It's not about life and death—players can just revive and come back. It's about resources, gear, and levels.
Thankfully, Genesis had a realism feature: players who die repeatedly within an hour face longer revival cooldowns. It reminded Jiang Bai of League of Legends—first death, 1 second revive; die again within 30 minutes, it's 10 seconds; and it just keeps getting longer. There's no upper limit.
And Stardust Left Bank wasn't just fierce in combat—his trash talk was top-tier. When he saw Carefree Breeze hiding in the safe zone and refusing to come out, he shouted:
"Yo, what the hell are you Carefree guys still fighting for? Your guild leader's hiding in the safe zone like a coward. That the guy you wanna die for?"
His taunt worked like a charm.
"Bullshit!"
Carefree Breeze noticed that his members were actually wavering, so he had no choice but to run back out—protected by the priest's 3-second invulnerability spell [Holy Shield].
"Damn it! Get in there and fight!"
"All priests—keep the Holy Shields coming!"
He rejoined the fight, albeit clearly shaken.
"Oh, sweetheart… you think a shield's gonna keep you safe?"
A flicker of disdain crossed Jiang Bai's eyes.
