Chapter 26 - Echoes of the Past (Part 4)

Chapter 25: Echoes of the Past (Part 4) — high tension and team synergy:

The battlefield roared with chaos.

"Now!" Synoh shouted, and he, Lux, and Yuta rushed in. Their swords gleamed under the moonlight—Light Slash, Spirit Cleave, Binding Arc—they struck in perfect rhythm, their blades slicing deep into the monster's flesh.

Fireballs, ice shards, lightning spears—caster units unleashed everything they had. Arrows rained from above, glowing with enchanted fire. Support mages behind them kept channeling buffs—speed, resistance, focus—enhancing the trio at the front.

The assassins waited in the shadows. The moment the Bugbear staggered, they dashed in like streaks of black wind, aiming for vital spots. But nothing worked.

The Bugbear didn't fall. It didn't bleed. It didn't even flinch.

Instead, it roared and exploded forward like a cannonball. Yuta's summoned goblins were torn apart in seconds, vanishing into puffs of black mist. The heavy knights locked shields and braced themselves—but the monster smashed through them like twigs, sending them flying against the canyon wall.

"Damn it!" Edward gritted his teeth. Slamming his palm into the ground, earth walls erupted, trying to trap or slow the beast.

But the monster didn't stop—it charged through the barriers, smashing stone with brute force.

Screams. Shouts. Dust and magic flared everywhere.

Then—Synoh's eyes widened. Through the cracks in the monster's armor, he saw it—a faint crimson glow pulsing from its chest. A gem.

"There!" Synoh pointed, voice sharp. "A gem on its chest—under the armor! That's the core!"

Lux turned, light magic crackling in his palms. "That must be what's keeping it alive!"

Yuta clenched his blade tighter, eyes burning. "One more strike. Let's end this."

Synoh raised his sword and roared, "Everyone, don't retreat! One more attack! We strike as ONE!"

The formation tightened. Buffs renewed. And the final assault began—toward the heart of the beast.
