Chapter 57 - No longer a maid

Nora was packing in quiet determination, her hands folding the last of her clothes as Asher zipped up his suitcase. The room was filled with an unspoken tension—something final lingered in the air.

The door creaked open and in walked Rex, Kieran, Shaw, and Neal.

"Going somewhere?" Rex asked, arms crossed.

"Yeah," Asher replied, not missing a beat. "We're going back home. Back to work."

"Uh, no," Kieran interrupted, walking forward. "You're not going back to work as a maid anymore, okay?"

Before Nora could respond, another figure entered. Zayan. His presence shifted the atmosphere entirely.

Neal stepped forward, voice firm but polite. "With all due respect, Mr. Kai… she's not going back to work as a maid. She's staying with us, here in Poland."

His Polish accent made his words sound even more resolved.

Zayan didn't even look at Neal at first. He kept his eyes on Nora, watching her. In his eyes, she was radiant—even while doing something as simple as packing. My Nora… he thought. I want to marry her. I want her to be the mother of my children.

"I didn't ask for your opinion," Zayan said coldly, his gaze shifting. "If she wants to go, let her go."

Rex stepped forward, voice rising. "Listen, Zayan Kai. We get that you're the Devil—but she's our sister. She's a Lilith. We're not letting her work as a maid. Not anymore."

Zayan said nothing at first. His silence was loud.

Then Neal added, "She's worth more than that, and she's staying here."

Zayan's eyes narrowed.

"Mr. Kai!" Neal shouted.

"DON'T RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME!" Zayan thundered.

The power in his voice made the room tremble. Nora flinched slightly—it wasn't Zayan who had spoken. It was the Devil himself.

The boys went silent.

"She's not going to work as a maid anymore," Zayan said, quieter now, but still commanding. "She's just going to stay there with me… I— I mean, she's staying in the mansion."

Nora gave a soft smile.

Shaw cleared his throat. "The house is sold," he said. "We bought a new one back in London."

"Yeah," Rex added. "We're moving. All our businesses will be managed from London now."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

At the Airport

Nora drifted into sleep the moment they boarded the jet. She was exhausted—physically, mentally, emotionally. Zayan sat beside her, his gaze never leaving her face.

My Nora… he thought, watching her chest rise and fall gently with each breath. I love you.

A small, genuine smile crept onto his lips.

Six Hours Later – London

Zayan and Nora arrived at the mansion first. The rest of the boys' flight would land in another two hours.

The mansion was eerily quiet.

"They took the day off," Zayan said, stepping in behind her. "Guess I'll see you in the morning, love."

Nora nodded and turned to leave—but he grabbed her wrist gently.

With one fluid movement, he pulled her toward him and kissed her—slow, deep, consuming. His tongue danced against hers, and his hands slid to the small of her back, pulling her closer again… and again.

Eventually, he exhaled, trying to calm the fire inside him. He pulled back and looked into her stunned eyes.

"Bye, my darling," he whispered, and walked away.

Nora stood frozen for a moment, heart pounding, lips still tingling.

"…Damn," she whispered. "He's just so hot."
