Edward helped his wife to his old room in the old house, despite the fact that he hardly come by, his space was always kept tidy.
He planned on surprising his grandparents with his marriage but it seems fate had another plan for them all by revealing the truth from the past.
His grandma barely touched her food by the time dinner was set, old master James helped her so she'll be able to take her meds later on. Maria slept off after crying her eyes out on Edwards chest.
"How's Maria doing" old master James asked as it's just the both of them left in the dinning room.
"She's sleeping when I left her" Edward replied sipping his drink, the old master sighed before walking to his study not before asking Edward to come with him.
"You see, Alicia was like a daughter your grandma, she treated both her and your mom same way. It's all my fault for not being available for her as a husband should. Though she lacked nothing physically but emotionally she was behind. I placed my career as my ultimate goal traveling for one business trip to another seeking the world and neglecting her intimate needs, which resulted to her having just your dad, your both aunties were adopted after she had a fibroid operation twice and the doctor told us if we want to be on the safe side we should avoid her getting pregnant. So I had to agree with her when she said she wants to adopt. She really wanted a girl child, so she loved your mom like she did your aunts same as Alicia her best friend" old master James told him.
"So tell me how you meet with Maria Moore because I know she was once married to the brat from the Cent family". Old master James said, Edward James sighed and recounted all that happened to Maria Moore and how she had once worked in the James design company, he told him how he watched her from a distance while she was married to Cent Clark and her saviour and how she got to leave in his mansion all thanks to Kristen, He also told him about Maria's daughter.
"I hope you don't plan on keeping her away from her child, I'll advise you take this opportunity we're all discovering the truth to tell her". Old master James told him, Edward took in a few deep breath closing his eyes before reopening them.
"You don't have to be scared, yes she'll be mad at you for keeping the truth but she might do something worse if she finds out herself or someone else tells her. At this point you're the only one she seem to trust" old master James said and paused then continued ". I think you should invite Kristen, ask him to come with the child". He told him in a voice he won't refute.
"You're awake, how do you feel" Edward James asked Maria when he got back inside his bedroom.
"Am not sure, I had some dream about reuniting with my child and we all became a big happy family" Maria told him and Edward clenched his teeth, having a guilty conscience.
