Garrick smirks, and takes another sip from his glass,
It's definitely vodka.
"He argued with his superiors almost constantly, hell he even tried to fight me on more than one occasion."
Garrick looked almost amused by the memory, Claire on the other hand was barely holding back a scowl.
"It was horribly loud."
Garrick's eyes ran over the table as if looking for something, then he stopped and pushed his smirk off of his face. He continued.
"My point stands. He doesn't take no for an answer."
"… so we do nothing?" Axel asked, forgetting where he was once again.
Dane calmly walked up to Axel and punches him in the back.
Axel flinched,
"Dumb question."
"Yeah… I know…" Axel said weakly.
Garrick furrowed his brow,
"Of course we have to do something!" His usual volume and pitch returning to him.
"So what is it exactly that you propose we do?" Claire asked, her question was almost rhetorical.
Garrick answered immediately,
"We'll deal with them like we did last time." His voice was more composed than she wanted it to be.
Claire smirked,
"It's different from last time. They aren't in the capital, we can't send the guard." She said, before taking a sip of her tea.
"Then we send the army." Garrick stated.
Claire let out a clipped scoff, almost a laugh,
"After something this small?"
She looked at him as if he were a child who just asked if the earth was flat.
Garrick's eyes narrowed slightly. Keeping his statements short as to not add too much weight,
"It won't stay small for long."
Claire took another sip of her tea as if mocking him.
"You remember how well that went last time?"
"It worked didn't it?"
He paused for a moment, his fist clenched slightly before he spoke again,
"It kept them in line."
"Oh?" Claire leaned forward in her chair slightly.
"And what if it turns violent? Will you take the blame for the loss? And what about the people? They will hate us."
Garrick dug his fingers into his skin. He wanted to scream at her.
"Enough." The queen stated.
"We'll deal with the details later. Garrick, get the army ready… Just in case." She said the last part as if it were an after thought.
The room fell quiet,
"That means get out."
