Meeting
"Well, this is not the blue sky I imagined... Anyway, let's search for mother!"
... I looked all over the place but without success, and the spider reached his limit.
Unable to move and to find her, I started crying again; my sadness was shared with the dying spider.
The last started to cry as well; our weeping echoed through all the ruin.
While weeping, I started hearing some footsteps.
I didn't notice them till the individual was in front of me.
It was not a person but a weird monster, maybe a characteristic monster of these parts.
It was a white skeleton with a lot of rune-like tattoos all over her body except for the forearms.
On both forearms there were tattoos that looked like
flames extending from his hands to the elbow.
In the left forearm, the flames were black, while in the right, they were silvery white.
What surprised me the most were the bone-like wings on his back.
I had never seen a skeleton like this before.
"Weird, why isn't it attacking me?"
I thought to myself as I looked at the skeleton before disconnecting my vision with the spider.
Once I was back, I was depressed, after who knows how many years had passed since I woke up in this place.
The first time since then, mother's orb shone, and I could not find her.
I thought as I walked back to my room.
Surprisingly, I could see a light wrap my whole room. I ran to see what was the source of the light, and shockingly, it was the orb.
"But why is glowing so much? I didn't find mom! Unless... NO, it can't be that skeleton!
Thinking about it, mom is the only daughter of the chaos; she definitely can't be normal!"
I tried right away to reconnect my vision to the spider outside, but I failed. I tried again and again for around an hour, but I never succeeded.
"Maybe the spider died in the end; that is why I can't connect with it."
In that moment, a strong anxiety and fear start growing in my heart.
"I don't want to be alone anymore!!"
I shouted, scared to be left behind again. The spiders around me, seeing how agitated I was, tried to console me, but I made a decision.
To go and find mom by myself no matter what.
I already knew that she was here; I just needed to go out of those doors, and that would be it...
The spiders around me understood what I wanted to do and got agitated seeing me walking out of my room and going toward the entrance of the cave; they kept uselessly trying to stop me; I was growing annoyed with it.
"If you keep on staying in my way, I will kill you."
All the spiders stopped moving; looking at their eyes, they were still worried for me.
Unable to fake like I didn't notice anything, I sighed before saying something.
"Sigh, somebody go and call three spider generals!"
The spiders look quite pleased to hear my order; well, I couldn't blame them; after all, the spider generals were the third strongest after the Arachne and me.
After a couple of minutes, the three big black spiders were kneeling in front of me, waiting for my orders.
Compared to me, the generals are bigger, but other than their size, they were not so different from ordinary spiders, except for another characteristic...
"Let go; I don't want to lose more time than this."
I said, worried that mother went to another place.
"YES, MY QUEEN."
They replied as they stood up.
Yes, the generals can talk just like the Arachne.
We moved in a defensive formation, with a general in the front as the tank and the other two on my side to prevent any ambush.
Even though I find it useless since we were the only living things here.
It didn't take us too much time before I took back what I said earlier.
Ladies and gentlemen, there it was in front of us, a beautiful woman wearing a white dress with a skirt that covered a little below the knees.
She looks like a woman in her early twenties; she has long black and red hair that reaches down to her shoulders.
Her eyes had the same colors as the hair, and these demon-like red horns made her look like an evil person.
I personally would have attacked, were it not for the eagle-like wings on her back.
She is so beautiful that I may have been jealous.
"Could it be...Mother?"
Hearing what I said, the three spider generals watched me confused.
I couldn't blame them after all; for them, I was born in this dungeon; no one knew that in reality I was reincarnated in this place.
Even though they were confused, they dared not ask any questions; instead, they started looking at the woman in front of them in a different way.
"I will answer your questions later; for now, just follow that woman!"
After hearing my order, the spider generals immediately activated all of their stealth-related skills and moved.
If it was really Mother, she would have definitely noticed the spiders right away, so I decided to ride a spider and let the other two stay a little behind us, ready for everything.
We got as close as we could to her without being notified, or so I thought;
Because out of nowhere, she started turning her body into shadow and immersing herself into it.
Once she started moving through the shadows, I could barely detect her movement at all.
But I already knew where she was going, so it was quite easy to detect her movements.
She moved fast but not too fast, like she was insecure about something...
For around an hour she kept on moving forward, but she suddenly started moving slowly; at some point she stopped moving.
'What is going on? Why is she not moving anymore? Wait, why is she emerging from the shadow? Did we get noticed?..'.
Unable to understand the situation, I just stayed still and observed.
She looked really scared of something this time; she started looking around, searching for something. It looked like she was talking with somebody; at some point, she stared at us!
'What is going on? Is she looking at us or behind?'
I could not understand what was going on till she pointed her finger at me.
I moved a little bit around to see if she was pointing at me; indeed, she was, but before I could say or do anything, she ran away.
