I looked at my watch… It was time.
I walked behind a man, and then I got a phone call. The voice told me that the man I was following was the target.
I kept following him everywhere until we entered a narrow alley. The only thing there was a very old building.
"What?!" There was a wall blocking the way.
Suddenly, I didn't notice it, and a bullet pierced my shoulder. He pointed his gun at my head and said,
"Who are you and who sent you to follow me?"
I couldn't respond.
I said, "I swear I wasn't following you. I thought you were someone I used to know, and I wanted to surprise him."
The man said, "If you're honest, stay still for a second and don't move your hand."
He searched me and took out a gun from my pocket.
Man: "Tell me or I'll kill you."
Me: "I don't know anything, believe me."
The man got angry and shot me in the head. A deadly bullet.
He picked up my phone and unlocked it using my fingerprint. After searching through it, he discovered who had been following him. He smiled because he now knew.
But he suddenly fell silent and started thinking.
He said, "The best hitman in the gangs is after me, but they send someone weak to kill me and leave his phone with him? That doesn't make sense. Something's not right."
He started looking around—right, left, up—until his eyes saw what he feared.
There was a sniper on the rooftop. The man looked up quickly just before a bullet from the sniper pierced his head. He also fell to the ground… dead.
"Well done, Sadiq, well done."
Sadiq: "This is my job. I've never failed in a hundred assassinations."
That was said in the office of one of the biggest company directors in the country.
Director: "You saved us from a scandal with this hit. Your money is in your bank account."
Sadiq: "Good."
Sadiq left to the street and returned to his normal life.
He saw a girl in an alley walking alone. Three young men followed her—they clearly had bad intentions.
Suddenly, they started flirting with her, then surrounding her. She resisted with all her strength, but they started using force.
They forcefully tore off her shirt while she cried heavily. Then, they moved to remove her pants… but Sadiq intervened.
Sadiq: "Guys, walk away."
One of them: "Screw you," and he showed him the middle finger.
Sadiq quickly cut the boy's finger with a knife. The boy cried in shock at the blood.
The other two attacked Sadiq, but he easily injured both and they fled.
He took off his jacket and covered the girl's exposed upper body.
Girl (shy): "Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Sadiq: "No need for thanks. But I have one request."
Girl: "If I can do it, no problem."
Sadiq: "Come to my house and sleep with me."
Girl: "I thought you were kind and respectful… but you're just like them. Trash."
Sadiq (laughing hard): "There's no room for refusal anyway."
He showed her a video he had taken of the boys trying to assault her.
Sadiq: "If you don't come, I'll post it and ruin your life."
Girl (crying in anger): "Why is everyone like this?"
She slapped him hard across the face.
It shocked him. His eyes widened.
Girl: "Do whatever you want. I won't give up my honor."
She ran away quickly.
Sadiq stood like a statue.
This was the first girl to ever do this to him.
Sadiq (smiling): "My tricks always work… but this girl is totally different."
The girl went back home, full of fear about the video being shared.
She took off Sadiq's jacket and changed her clothes.
She was a beautiful girl with blonde hair, fair skin, and soft features.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. She opened it.
Man: "Hello, Reem. I want my money. You're late."
Reem: "I'm really sorry. Please give me one more month, and I'll gather the amount."
The man got very angry and said, "That's way too much time. You have one week. Our next meeting will be at the police station."
Then he left.
Reem felt very sad. "What a terrible day."
In the morning, Reem went to work. She worked as a waitress in a restaurant.
Manager: "Reem, go to table 4. Someone asked for you by name."
She went to table 4 and found Sadiq sitting there.
Reem almost turned away, but Sadiq told her he wanted to solve the issue and make peace.
Reem sat down.
Sadiq: "I know everything about your life in full detail. I'll delete the video in front of you—but on one condition."
Reem: "First, why did you look me up? Second, what's your condition?"
Sadiq (smiling): "First, I won't tell you until I'm sure. Second, my condition is that you forgive me—or at least, don't hate me."
Reem (very surprised): "I don't understand you at all. But if that's your condition, okay. I forgive you. Now delete it."
Sadiq deleted the video in front of her.
Reem: "Okay, I'm leaving now."
Sadiq: "Can I invite you to dinner tonight?"
Reem: "Sorry, I'm a bit busy these days."
Sadiq: "About your debt—it's solved. But come have dinner with me."
He called someone and gave the phone to Reem.
Caller: "Thanks, Reem. I got the money quickly, and even more than I expected. Our issue is over."
Sadiq: "So, will you come?"
Reem: "Fine."
They went to a fancy restaurant, and Reem wore a beautiful dress.
Sadiq: "I actually want to know your opinion about a person whose job is to kill people for money."
Reem: "A very bad person."
Sadiq: "That person is me. But please, don't leave."
Reem: "I don't understand anything."
Sadiq: "It's true. I kill, and I enjoy it. I kill even for no reason. In your case, after you slapped me, I was supposed to kill you. But I didn't. I don't know why. Maybe because I like you."
Reem: "Sorry, but I can't like someone like that."
Sadiq: "Let me stay with you for a week, as if I'm your fiancé. Then you'll see if I can change or not. Maybe you can help me stop killing."
Reem: "Honestly, after you paid my debt, I want to help you. So, okay."
A week passed, and indeed, Reem seemed to have fallen deeply in love with Sadiq. She found safety in him, and Sadiq, for his part, had lost his desire for killing. He had become completely immersed in love and refused several assignments.
Then one day, someone came to him.
Man: "Sadiq, you keep refusing operations. What's going on?"
Sadiq: "I don't want to work anymore. It's enough."
Man: "What do you mean? You can't just stop."
Sadiq: "I've found my true life."
Man: "You'll regret this."
Sadiq had changed a lot. He genuinely loved Reem and hadn't killed anyone for six months. During that time, he had proposed to her.
They went together to buy her wedding dress.
Reem: "What do you think of this one?"
Sadiq: "Anything looks beautiful on you."
Reem (smiling): "Enough with the compliments. Tell me what you really think."
Sadiq (laughing): "Okay, try this one."
Reem: "Alright, I'll go try it on."
While Sadiq waited in the waiting area, three women passed by. He waited and waited, growing more anxious. The women kept coming in and out of the fitting room, but Reem still hadn't returned.
He began to panic and asked one of the attendants to check the fitting room.
Suddenly, the attendant screamed loudly. Sadiq rushed to her and stood in shock when he saw Reem's lifeless body. She had been brutally murdered, her neck slashed, and she was lying there, naked.
Sadiq hit the wall in frustration, trying to hold back his tears. They took her body to the hospital for an autopsy, but Sadiq was furious and barely able to control his emotions. He went home, grabbed his gun (which he had hidden because he promised Reem not to use it against her), and went straight to the headquarters of the man who had threatened him.
He began killing everyone he encountered, whether human or animal, without mercy. He knew all the entrances and exits, and eventually, the gang cornered him, with five armed men pointing their guns at him. Sadiq stood tall, not afraid to die, willing to join Reem in the afterlife.
But then, a burst of gunfire rang out from behind the five men. Sadiq had no idea what had happened.
A man stood in front of him and said:
Man: "Don't be afraid, Sadiq. You still have life left."
Sadiq (surprised and in shock): "Who are you?"
Man: "I am the Owl..."

Yasser: "Enough with the stories, please."
Owl: "Alright, you'll get what you want. But the final story will be your story. Afterward, you can tell me your decision, and we'll be done."
