They're going to wait here. Vince thought to himself, it was clear that Thalia's companions had become quiet upon Chesca's admission of her true self.
"We need to leave now." All they received was that statement.
Thalia just stared at him, confused. "W—Where?" she asked him.
Vince sighed; her brother was there too, because he was also determined to enter the lair of Fuego.
Don't panic, Thalia; you need to understand this now. He just sighed.
The sun was rising, and despite his lack of sleep, he remained free from fatigue and exhaustion.
Zenne and William, his companions, also sighed.
Jake will kill us if these kids get involved, but it's really unavoidable now. He is thankful that Jake hasn't come yet; he knows that if he finds out, he will get angry again and his teacher-like behavior will come out.
Whatever.
He also prepared the other women they rescued today. They'll be heading there shortly.
The commotion in the warehouse has calmed down, but the women still need to be careful.
He started walking, and the other members followed; Thalia followed too, even though her mind was in turmoil.
He didn't put on his mask yet, sitting next to Thalia and her two friends. Gerald and the others were in a different vehicle; they had hidden the woman they rescued for now, and he would take her to their meeting point.
"Brother, where are we really going?" Thalia asked him.
"You'll find out soon enough." He immediately drove, with only a short distance between his two companions.
He saw some people he was with.
"Hide." Vince commanded them.
Even though the three were confused, they followed his orders.
Someone blocked his car. He was with them; he knew they hadn't slept yet because Giovane was already causing a scene.
"Vince, after you finish your rounds, take over from us. The boss has been furious since early this morning, especially now that the captured women have escaped." This is what he said.
Angry? Or has he calmed down because he knows who is undermining their organization? He couldn't help but wonder in his mind.
He just smiled at his companions.
"Don't worry, we will throw out the bodies inside that drum soon." There were many; that's why I asked for help from Zenne and William." He said.
"Ha? We didn't notice you earlier."
He laughed. "You were busy earlier; Charles ordered us to dispose of the bodies scattered in the warehouse." He said.
"Oh, that's why; we were just really busy earlier and didn't notice the three of you."
He simply nodded at Zenne and William, aware that they were shaking their heads in disagreement.
"Even better, when you return to the warehouse, help us toss these so we can assist you. It's better if we help each other, right?" He asked, still smiling.
They exchanged glances. "It's alright; please wait for us there before you dispose of the bodies, just like we always do." He said.
"No problem, we'll go ahead of you." He even said,. "There are quite a few of them right now."
"Okay."
He drove off after the conversation; they had already distanced themselves from the men; he even looked at them in the side mirror, and his two companions followed. When they could no longer see the man he had talked to, he called the three.
"You can stop hiding now." He said.
With a furrowed brow, Thalia looked at him, and he knew the look she was referring to. He just sighed.
They were nearing their meeting place. He made sure no one was following them. They passed by an old house that had been abandoned by time, including its dilapidated gate.
Chesca stared at the appearance of the house they were about to visit. She didn't say anything further. They passed through a dense path and immediately found its main gate.
Even though he didn't get off, he put on his mask. That gate has detection, which only recognizes the mask and the person wearing it. He knew that programming it was delicate because it would also be their support during times of turmoil.
Immediately, the gate opened, allowing them to enter individually.
His suspicion was correct that Felix was already here; he immediately parked his car. He got out, and Thalia and her two companions followed.
He also noticed that William and Zenne followed and got off as well.
Zenne just whistled at what he saw. William could only shake his head. They also let the women they had rescued out of the commotion that had just happened.
Without a word, he headed for the door; the magnetic doorknob immediately detected his fingerprints and opened right away, followed by the two.
The two immediately came into view wearing a mask.
"I thought you weren't coming here anymore." He sighed.
Thalia looked at him, confused.
"They're in the underground; take them there first, Delta." Charles then ordered.
Without a word, William followed his order.
"Will we follow too?" Ericka asked.
Charles looked at his companion and then back at Vince. He just sighed.
"No, you stay here for now." He said.
They waited for William to return here; he knew they would be safe underground. There are people who will take care of them there, just like what is done in their basement, William.
The elevator opened and finally spat out his two companions.
"How are they?" Felix asked.
"They're okay; it's good that they were rescued." He let out a sigh.
"The question is, who—who saved them? Were you able to bring them?" He looked at Charles.
Charles removed his mask.
"No, that's a big question, too." Charles said, letting out a sigh.
