But then, You Feng's body twitched. A golden flash erupted across the sky—his flourishing motion caught the gaze of every duelist in the audience.
As he flipped the card open, his smirk deepened, revealing an air of confidence that made people uneasy.
Seeing that expression, Asuka's brows tightened, unease creeping into her heart.

"I choose to revive [Edea the Heavenly Squire]!"
You Feng declared calmly, and a beam of light erupted from the Graveyard.
[Edea the Heavenly Squire] returned to the field once more.
"Next, I activate Edea's effect!"
"When Edea is Normal or Special Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 monster with 800 ATK and 1000 DEF from my Deck, except Edea, in Defense Position. Again, no Extra Deck summons this turn."
"I Special Summon [Eidos the Underworld Squire]!"
Once again, the pair of squire monarchs appeared together—an omen that the storm of tribute summoning had only just begun.
The duelists watching gasped in awe.
"That's insane—he's brought them all back again?!"
"What kind of Monarch deck is this? It's so broken and flexible!"
"Disgusting! How do you even counter this?"

"Also, when a monster is Tribute Summoned using this effect, I can activate one of two options—but only once per turn."
"Option one: add 1 monster with 2400 ATK and 1000 DEF, with a different name than the Tribute Summoned monster, from my Deck to my hand."
"Option two: do the same with a 2800 ATK, 1000 DEF monster."
"Time for you to feel the fury of the monarch storm!"

[Kuraz the Light Monarch] roared as he re-entered the battlefield.

Everyone gasped at the appearance of this disruptive monarch.
"No—!" Zane muttered with sudden urgency.
Asuka flinched as the truth dawned on her.
"I now activate [The Monarchs Stormforth]'s effect! I add [Ehther the Heavenly Monarch] from my Deck to my hand!"
"And since [Edea] was sent to the Graveyard, I activate her effect: I can retrieve one of my banished Monarch Spell or Trap cards."
He swiftly returned the [The Prime Monarch] card that was previously banished by [Ehther].
"And now Kuraz's effect activates! When Tribute Summoned, I can target up to two cards on the field and destroy them. Then each player draws a card for each of their destroyed cards."
"I target your [Cyber Angel Dakini] and my own [Eidos]!"
"The brilliance of monarchs scorches all before them!"
You Feng flicked his fingers forward like blades.
"Haah—!"
[Kuraz the Light Monarch] released a radiant wave of golden light.
The twin orbs of energy collided with [Cyber Angel Dakini], tearing her apart in a shimmer of light, and vaporizing [Eidos] too.
"Boom—!"
The destruction left no room for counterplay.
[Cyber Angel Dakini] was obliterated, her spirit vanishing in a cry of dismay.
"Due to Kuraz's effect, we both draw one card," You Feng said calmly.
Though reluctant, Asuka had no choice but to accept the draw.
But You Feng had already drawn—and now moved again.
"Let's go! Because [Eidos] was Tributed, I get an additional Tribute Summon this turn!"
"I Tribute [Kuraz the Light Monarch] to Tribute Summon [Ehther the Heavenly Monarch]!"
His chain was seamless—methodical and merciless.

Erebus's true strength lay in its graveyard effect too:

But just as the field was forming a perfect monarch cycle—

"The card I drew earlier—[Effect Veiler]!"
"I discard it from my hand to negate the effect of your monster until the end of the turn!"
"Veiler activates during either player's Main Phase, and it stops all effects of a monster on the field for that turn!"
"So Ehther's effect is negated!"
She slammed the card down, releasing an electrical burst that enveloped [Ehther].
The monarch's summoned light dimmed—its power interrupted.
The arena stirred with energy as hope sparked in the onlookers.
You Feng blinked in surprise, then chuckled softly. "Wasn't [Effect Veiler] only common in Neo-Domino satellite duels?"
"Yes," Asuka replied with a proud breath, "A friend from the Northern Satellite sent it to me."
"I didn't expect it to save me here."
"You were hiding a tech card, huh? But you've got no Kansai!"
"But even so—this was still within my calculations," You Feng grinned.
"What? Even this?" Asuka's eyes widened in disbelief.
Shockwaves echoed through the arena.
How could he possibly have anticipated even that?
His deck—his precision—his prediction… it was terrifying.
