Chapter 26 - Fist of Annihilation

Child of prophecy

Chapter 26

Aksh slowly got up, wiping off the blood from his eyes and mouth with his shirt. He threw the shirt aside, then looked at his hands, clenching his fists. "So that's how it feels to reach the stars."

"Boy, try to bring the Tejas from your heart toward your fist, just like how you gathered it inside—and try hitting that wall," the voice in his mind said, calm as if nothing had just happened.

Aksh walked toward the wall, clenched his fist, and moved his right foot backward along with his right hand. The veins from his heart to his right arm began to glow as he started gathering Tejas in his fist. A crimson energy began forming there, flickering like lightning.

Then, using every muscle in his right arm, he launched the punch toward the wall.

As his fist landed, a sonic boom echoed out, sending the air backward in a circular arc. From the point of impact, crimson energy surged into the wall, and several cracks spread outward like lightning in all directions. The entire hall began to tremble.

"Hahaha, yes, this is it! This is the first Demonic Technique: The Fist of Annihilation—I created. Although it isn't strong enough yet, this is the real thing! Hahaha!" the voice in his mind laughed with joy.

"Oh shit," the words slipped out of Aksh's mouth.

"What the hell, man—are you trying to bring the entire Dog House down?" Arihant shouted.

He quickly waved his hands, creating several white pillars made of Tejas and placing them inside the hall.

"This much should be enough... We'll have to renovate this entire place again," he sighed.

Aksh's breath became heavy, and he came down to one knee. "What's... happening? Why am I feeling so dizzy?" he spoke, confused.

"Isn't it obvious, snotty brat? You just used a powerful technique as soon as you awakened that almost brought down the entire Dog House. Of course you're out of Tejas now," Arihant replied, annoyed. "You should only use this move when you are completely sure that you're gonna win, otherwise you'll just be a sitting duck for the enemy."

Aksh lay on his back, catching his breath, and Arihant got clouded in his own thoughts. "This hall was designed specially for students under 3 stars in Tejas for training purposes. But he destroyed it so easily with just a single punch at only 1 star... Hehehe, This kid is going to change the entire power system. Not something I'm surprised of."

Aksh, in the background, took out a Tejavrittas pill from a pouch on his pants and swallowed it. "What? Why is my exhaustion not going away?" Aksh said, looking at his body.

A sudden punch landed right on Aksh's head. "Ow! Why are you hitting me?" Aksh said, holding his head.

"You—you idiotic snotty brat! Who in the world uses these expensive Tejavrittas pills just to remove exhaustion? And also, they can't refill your Tejas! They're only meant to provide energy to the physical body!" Arihant shouted in rage and snatched the pouch of pills from his hand.

"Wa—wait, why are there only 2 pills left in it? There were more than 50 of them when I gave it to you," Arihant said, his eyes widening in disbelief as he looked into the pouch.

"Oh, that. I've already eaten all of them. I was going to ask for more from you," Aksh said while rubbing his head.

Arihant's mouth opened, his eyes widened as if he had seen a ghost. "Eat—eaten all?... Ask fo—for more? Thi—this took my entire salary of last month."

Arihant fell down to his knees , his eyes becoming teary. "I-I won't be able to drink a single liquor this month. How-how am gonna survive without it."

"Aren't you a bit overreacting? It's pathetic you're sulking over something like this at your age," Aksh said, lying down on the floor, his hands behind his head.

A shadow appeared on Aksh's face. As he looked up, it was Arihant standing over him, smiling calmly.

"Why are you just lying down, Aksh-kun?" Arihant said, touching his cheeks with both of his hands. "We need to spar so that your Tejas can settle down properly. Get up quickly and get ready to die—I mean, to spar," he said, bending and leaning close to Aksh.

"Do I really need to spar in order to settle down my Tejas?" Aksh asked in his mind, suspiciously.

"Yes, you do. But I'm not sure if he's really getting ready to spar with you or to kill you. Just look at him," the voice replied in his mind.

Aksh looked toward Arihant. He took out the sword that always remained at his side and swung it in a vertical motion. A gust of wind blew forward from the sword, and as it touched the wall, it sliced into it like a wind blade.

"What the hell! He did that with just the swing of his sword—and he didn't even draw it out from the sheath!" Aksh shouted, his voice unintentionally coming out.

"Why are you still standing there… Aksh-kun? Come here, my lovely Aksh-kun!" Arihant said, still smiling calmly, waving his left hand toward Aksh and swinging his sword with his right hand, from which multiple wind blades were coming out and hitting the wall, leaving deep markings.

"Hey, demon fossil! If I die here, can you tell Mother and Tejasvi that I really loved them?"

Aksh gulped and moved forward toward Arihant.
