Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Forced to Destroy the Beloved

After the incident, the air felt heavy. Lisea stood frozen, her eyes vacant, filled with confusion and pain. Gellius, her old friend who had been with her for years, lay on the ground, blood flowing from his lifeless body. Yet, she couldn't mourn what had happened. Instead, a bitter feeling slowly crept over her.

Lisea looked at Auren, tears flowing ceaselessly, trying to comprehend what had just transpired.

> "Auren... why? Why did you do that?" Lisea whispered, her voice hoarse and trembling.

>

But Auren couldn't answer. The system that had taken over him now made him like a cold stone, unable to feel anything but the destruction before him.

Suddenly, Lisea's trembling voice was heard again.

> "I can't... I can't let you do any more damage, Auren." Lisea stepped back, her eyes full of pain, but her heart slowly accepting this bitter reality. "You've changed. You're not the Auren I know."

>

With tears still falling, Lisea began to run, leaving the place. She knew that if Auren continued on his path, nothing could stop him. But, on the other hand, Lisea also knew that her struggle to stop Auren also meant a battle between two friends who had to destroy each other.

Lisea ran towards the nearby forest, a place further from the crowd, a place where she could hide temporarily and think clearly. But in her mind, one voice kept echoing:

> "You know, Lisea, if you don't act, this world will be even more destroyed. Auren has become part of the traitors. He must be stopped."

>

Lisea decided to hide in a place far from everyone's reach. However, as she hid, something bothered her mind. Lisea knew that Auren was one of those who had been trapped in the betrayal that began thousands of years ago. If she didn't stop Auren, their long-standing journey would end tragically.

Auren, on the other hand, was now consumed by a burning rage. His mission wasn't just to kill Gellius, but he knew the system would continue to guide his steps to destroy more souls that stood in his way. Lisea was part of the people who knew too much, and nothing could stop him anymore.

Meanwhile, Lisea began to make an even more difficult decision. She knew Auren could still be saved, although it would test her loyalty to the friend who had changed. However, if she didn't act, the world would fall into deeper chaos. Lisea, with a heavy heart, stepped forward to perform her last duty: to kill Auren, the friend who was once so close to her. Because if not, Auren would become a great threat to the world they lived in.

Lisea ran towards Auren's hiding place, her feelings churning, but she couldn't avoid the reality that she had to do it. Because only one could survive in this world, and it wasn't the old friend who had now turned into an enemy that had to be destroyed.

Auren, on the other hand, felt Lisea's approaching presence. He could feel the power flowing from Lisea, indicating that his old friend was ready to end everything. And Auren knew, this battle would end tragically. Nothing could be avoided.

They both stood before each other—facing each other as enemies, although in their hearts there were still beautiful old memories.

> "Lisea, I know what you have to do." Auren said softly, his voice filled with a sorrow that only Lisea could understand. "But this is my path now. There's no turning back."

>

Lisea gripped her sword, and with heavy steps approached Auren, she knew that this was an unavoidable moment.

In their hearts, they both knew:

No one would survive this journey.

What will happen next? Will Lisea succeed in stopping Auren, or will they be caught in an unstoppable cycle of power?
