Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

For three full days, Illumi had not left his room except to attend his scheduled matches at the arena. He hadn't slept a single moment during this time, dedicating every spare second to intense meditation and training. Moreover, despite his father Silva's advice, Illumi had already registered himself for the 200th floor.

"Finally, it's complete."

Standing in the center of his room, Illumi observed the translucent layer of **Aura** enveloping his body. He could feel the warm energy coursing through him, as though he were wearing an impossibly thin yet insulating down jacket. Even if he stood naked in the freezing winter night, buffeted by biting winds, he doubted he would feel even a trace of cold.

"Next, I'll begin training in the four fundamental exercises."

"The first is **Ten (Envelop).**"

Illumi focused on maintaining his Aura within his body while keeping it evenly distributed across his skin. **Ten** was the technique of retaining one's life energy internally, preventing it from dissipating outward. By mastering **Ten**, one could strengthen their body, slow aging, and stabilize their Aura, making it more resistant to external attacks.

Closing his eyes, Illumi confirmed that his Aura was successfully retained inside his body and covering his surface. Then, he began to move.

"Whoosh!"

He threw a quick punch, observing how the Aura flowed along his skin. However, he noticed wisps of Aura leaking out into the air and vanishing.

"This shows that my **Ten** is still highly unstable."

With this realization, Illumi sat back down to meditate. After half an hour, he resumed practicing with increasingly longer sessions. Gradually, the duration of his **Ten** extended—from five minutes, to ten, fifteen, twenty, and beyond.

Repeating this process over six hours...

"Finally, it's done."

Drenched in sweat, Illumi looked at his hands, which were slick with perspiration. Despite the physical exertion, he felt no fatigue whatsoever.

The training for **Ten** was the simplest of the four fundamentals. Next came **Zetsu (Suppress).**

**Zetsu** involved tightening and sealing off one's Aura entirely, effectively erasing one's presence. While in this state, defense against Nen attacks approached zero, but it also helped restore stamina and mental focus when fatigued.

"Perfect timing. After three sleepless days of opening all my pores, I'm exhausted enough to collapse into bed."

Indeed, after three days of relentless training, both his body and mind were screaming for rest. And **Zetsu**, with its ability to aid recovery, was the next logical step.

After exhausting himself with **Ten**, Illumi practiced **Zetsu** while fatigued, allowing him to simultaneously recover his strength and refine his control over the technique. This systematic approach ensured maximum efficiency, enabling him to progress rapidly toward mastery.

"First, I need to eliminate my Aura and close all my pores."

Sitting cross-legged on his bed, Illumi shut his eyes and sealed off his pores, withdrawing the Aura from his skin and reducing his presence to near invisibility.

This exercise lasted through the night.

At exactly 6:10 a.m., Illumi completed his **Zetsu** training. According to the standard progression, the next step would be **Ren (Refine)**. However, today was special—he had other plans. So, he ended his session early, freshened up, and rested for three hours.

Time: 10:20 a.m.

"Snap!"

Illumi's eyes shot open as he lay in bed, his gaze narrowing toward the door.

"Knock, knock, knock..."

A series of loud knocks echoed through the room, followed by an impatient shout.

"Hey, brat!"

"How long are you going to keep sleeping?!"

"The sun's been up for hours—get your lazy ass out of bed and come with me to the Koser Group!"

It was none other than Drake Drummond, the man who had arranged to take Illumi to meet the boss of the Koser Group. Drake had waited an entire hour in the lobby of the Sky Arena before losing patience and coming directly to Illumi's room.

"If you don't answer, I'm kicking the damn door down!"

Drake's tone grew increasingly irritated as his knocking escalated from gentle taps to thunderous pounding, ready to break the door down with brute force.

"Click."

Just as Drake raised his leg to deliver a powerful kick, the door opened.

Illumi stood there, dressed in a red-and-white striped hoodie, white casual pants, and matching red-and-white sneakers. His expression remained impassive as he looked up at Drake.

"Hah! You're just a little punk, sleeping until ten in the morning."

Drake muttered under his breath, stepping aside to let Illumi exit the room. The two walked side by side toward the elevator, exiting the Sky Arena together.

Outside, a sleek black limousine awaited them. Two burly men resembling bodyguards stood beside the vehicle, opening the door as soon as they spotted Drake and Illumi. Once the pair entered, the car immediately sped off toward the city center.

"This weather is brutal."

Drake grabbed two cans of ice-cold cola from the mini-fridge inside the car, tossing one to Illumi without waiting for a response. Outside, the sky was clear but scorching. Even at 10:30 a.m., the temperature was already climbing uncomfortably high.

"Ho ho ho, looks like Young Master Illumi is quite interested in the Koser Group."

Zibo and Wutong trailed behind in an inconspicuous black sedan, keeping a close eye on the limousine carrying Illumi and Drake.

"Young Master Illumi seems to have disregarded Lord Silva's instructions and registered himself for the 200th floor."

"Should we inform the Zoldyck estate?"

Wutong gripped the steering wheel tightly, his expression stoic as he glanced at Zibo.

"We'll wait until Young Master Illumi finishes his current business before notifying Lord Silva."

"It's not our place as subordinates to decide how to handle this matter."

Wutong nodded silently, focusing on the road ahead as they continued tailing the limousine.

Forty minutes later...

The limousine pulled up in front of a towering office building. As Illumi stepped out, the first thing he saw was a plaque bearing the name and logo of the Koser Group.

Looking upward, Illumi noted the building's impressive height—it stretched at least fifty stories into the sky, standing well over 200 meters tall.

"The Koser Group headquarters has fifty floors and reaches a height of 250 meters," Drake explained proudly, clearly pleased with the company's prominence. "It's the tallest building in this city aside from the Sky Arena."

"Second place is still second place. Just saying pretty words doesn't change that."

Without another word, Illumi strode toward the entrance of the grand lobby.
