The sky above cracked like glass, reality trembling under the weight of a force not meant to exist. At the heart of the battlefield stood the entity that had haunted their every breath—Void Sovereign Zeroth, now in his fifth phase, more twisted and powerful than ever before. His final form loomed close… but not yet.
Lian's body was bloodied, his aura flickering with unstable power. His bike, once a humble cycle, now glowed with a myth-tier evolution: Celestial Dragoon Chariot—a fusion between fate-powered wheels and ancient cosmic energy cannons mounted on each side.
But the cost had been high. Demist was unconscious, the lucky survivor's charm cracked, and Jayce's golden truck had split apart in the previous battle—only to reform through a glitch into an unregistered Jester War Cab with unpredictable stats that warped reality when it moved.
As Zeroth's laughter echoed, the three clones—each still needing two more deaths—descended again.
Flashback — 3 Days Ago
Lian stood alone before an old data terminal in a crumbling subspace rift. Onscreen was an unstable message—one left by a previous survivor.
> "If you're reading this... you're already being hunted. The system is breaking. It's too much. We tried to patch it, tried to reroute the soul anchors, but it keeps evolving. The boss doesn't follow rules anymore. He's learning. Becoming... something else."
> "But there is hope. Talents aren't fixed. Vehicles aren't tools—they're beings. Fuse them. Hack them. Betray them if needed. The only rule now is: survive... and decide if it's worth it."
That final line haunted him now.
Present
Zeroth unleashed a gravity cannon that erased everything in a mile-wide radius. Lian was forced to use one of his last trump cards—his Fate Diver talent fused with the Coin Multiplier glitch. The result: Paradox Pulse, a 10-second rewind ability that cost him every coin he had... and something deeper: a memory.
He forgot his sister's name.
In exchange, he got one chance. He screamed into the wind, "Dragoon Chariot—Override Protocol X!"
The vehicle's wings burst open, its wheels spun through fractured time, and it rammed into one of Zeroth's clones. A burst of holy mythos light shattered it.
4 down. 1 left.
Jayce, regaining control of the Jester War Cab, began laughing manically. "Let's make this bastard taste some comedy! SYSTEM: GACHA GLITCH—SPIN!!"
The vehicle's dashboard turned into a roulette of absurdity. Out came a massive clown cannon... that fired a sun. A literal sun. It crashed into the battlefield, causing half the remaining terrain to melt.
Zeroth's main body screamed in frustration. "This world will die. You are insects biting a god!"
Then came another change. The system screen everyone could see began to flicker.
> [ERROR: SYSTEM ROOT BREACH DETECTED] [WARNING: ADMINISTRATIVE OVERRIDE INCOMING] [TALENT TREE — UNLOCKED]
A hologram bloomed before Lian, showing paths he never knew existed.
Fusion Talent Unlocked: Soulbound Convergence (Fate + Coin + War Memory)
Passive: Gain power through loss. Each fallen memory becomes an anchor for divine evolution.
Active: "Price of Meaning" — Convert memories or bonds into pure power. One-time use per person.
Lian hesitated. Could he burn something again? Lose another name?
Behind him, the battered group gathered. Demist, barely awake, nodded. Jayce gave a thumbs-up, bleeding and smiling.
Lian chose.
He burned his memory of Earth's sky. The blue above. The clouds. The feeling of home.
Activating Soulbound Convergence...
His aura exploded. His vehicle merged with his body. He became something half-machine, half-fate. His eyes glowed gold.
Then came the final charge.
The battlefield roared. Zeroth prepared his apocalyptic strike—Star Imploder.
But Lian wasn't aiming to dodge anymore.
He was aiming to erase the concept of the boss entirely.
To be continued...
