Chapter 6 - The Act Of Transformation

"Utilizing my ability for a reason is earned for! However, I'm half of a hundred percent sure, you will not know how to use my ability without proper explanation, or even with such an explanation."

Valtor frowned, this time with understanding. "But I can learn how to use it?"

"You still do not know the concept of Ni and Gi. Why would you want—"

"Gi?" Valtor asked, perplexed by the second word, which felt like an 'opposition' to Ni energy. "Is it more like a dark energy?"

"Yes!," Blobby replied. "It's an opposition. But Master Gap will break it all down for better understanding—

Valtor interrupted, asking the main question. "Would you allow me to use your transformation ability—"

"Mama!"

Valtor rubbed his temples. He was sure the Blob spoke accurately enough, but whenever it mentioned something indifferent, it always circled back to square one.

However at this point, Valtor didn't realize some passerbys were keeping a clear distance. It wasn't every day you would see a young boy standing in the middle of the street, talking intensely to himself .

That boy must be suffering from insanity; a woman thought as she walked past, her gaze lingering on him with pity. 'Such a young child, with a heavy weight on his heart.'

Valtor remained rooted to the spot, whispering. "Please?"

"Mama!"

"Oh, Come on! I know you understand my plea."

Blobby's words became more assertive when it replied. "You do not know how to use it. Or do you?"

"I can try."

A minute passed after this reply, then another, before the Blob finally agreed.

"I need to explain it somewhere you can practice."

Valtor scanned the streets, his eyes locking onto a dark alley, opposite the stall. It was the perfect spot.

He quickly moved there, trying to stay away from the curious looks, and sat on the cobblestone ground.

This spot had a house roof covering the shade of the sun, making it a perfect spot, "Okay," Valtor said, "I'm ready!." Without noticing the two pairs of red eyes glaring down at him .

---

"Have you ever raised a sword?" Blobby asked, skipping any long introduction.

"No!"

"Mama! I knew it—"

"W—"

"Have you ever used a broom?"

"Yes. Why?"

"When using a broom, do you know what you're using it for and why you're using it?"

Valtor nodded. "Yes, to sweep out some dirt. That's the main reason behind it."

"A broom is what I will use as a reference for understanding my power." Blobby bounced onto the ground, returning to its original size. "First of all, you would have to hold a broom, knowing the direction of its movement; Either for a sweeping purpose or otherwise. I have a transformation ability, meaning I can change my density, properties, size, and length, depending on the intensity of the my energy/the user's energy or their mental stability.

"It's more or less similar to the broom's movement—the harder you press it against the ground, the cleaner it sweeps. Or, the softer you would use it to brush against the ground, the more effective those dirts direction would go.

"When I transform, I link my energy with the user, enabling the transformation to succeed, and with how the broom works, This is a mind-willed act."

Valtor listened carefully, processing the details. "So, it depends on what I'm thinking, and that determines the shape and form? The stronger my thoughts of an item the greater it be, the softer my thoughts depending on varied actions, a more effective weapon would it be?"

"Exactly! And don't worry about the binding process—just focus on the power of your thoughts. Do you want to try?"

Valtor stood up eagerly. "Hell yes!"

"Mama!" Blobby bounced onto his palm, and Valtor instantly felt a warmth radiating from it's form.

It was comforting , like the feeling a child gets when hugging their mother—safe, familiar.

"What you're feeling now is the energy, 'Ni'," Blobby explained. "Ni is life. The essence of life is Ni. Master Gap would explain further on how you feel or react to this."

Valtor slowly nodded. He could feel the energy traveling through his palm, flowing into the veins of his wrist, then, moving up his arm, "I just imagine an item or a tool?"

"Mama!" Blobby jiggled in response. "You can do it even with your eyes clos—"

Slowly, its circular form emitted a soft, radiant light—not bright enough to attract attention, just like an object reflecting in the sunlight.

Then, it transformed.

Blobby's body morphed, into the shape of a kitchen knife, the blade, sharper than ever—but the hilt bore the carving of an ancient dragon, a tail curled into its mouth, with it's limbs gripping tightly around the form.

Valtor studied it, however refused the thoughts to ask Why, rather, "So... how do I use it?"

"Is that... How do you use a knife?"

Valtor rolled his eyes. He always forgot that Blobby had an attitude—an impulsive one at that. 'How can a Divine blob be so, impulsive?' he mused to himself.

"But," Blobby continued, pulling Valtor's focus back, "You can direct and guide my movement without actually holding the transformed item."

Valtor nodded, "Let me try," and tossed the knife into the air. When it started to fall, he pointed a finger at it.

'Imagine it hovering—don't let it land!.' He screamed mentally, and, to his surprise, the knife froze mid-air, just in front of his finger.

Valtor grinned at the success.

"Interesting! You mastered my teaching in less than a minute! How rare!"Blobby chimed. "What you did can be done by any human, I'll opt you out of this particular reference. It's just about syncing with the mind! The stronger your mindset, the effective an act would be."

Deep down in Bobby's thought, it said, 'Your mindset is dark with grief that's exactly why you are able to make this happen. Worse is the unlocked 'Gi' in you, the time I binded, I could sense the darkness, familiar to chaos when it attacked the heavens. Master Gap must keep this energy locked, and allow you utilize 'Ni' more often. You don't even know the strength which sleeps deep within your soul, a soul possessing both 'Ni' and 'Gi'."

Valtor's short giggle brought Blobby back to reality, when he said. "But I can only do it now in less than a minute, making me god-level—!"

Excited, he moved his fingers in a sideways motion, only to see a flash of the knife hurtling toward the stall at full speed—crashing into it with a violent impact.

Wood splintered. The stall crumbled instantly, and the trader's jaws dropped to see his stall destroyed by an unseen force.

Valtor on the other side, raised both palms to his lips, covering his shock.

He didn't mean for this to happen.

Quickly rushing to the stall, partly, to check for casualties, partly, to grab a crate of apples while the dust of the snow from the impact hasn't leveled.

"Hello...? Is anyone there?" he called out, while swiftly picking up the fallen fruits, using the commotion 'as a distraction'.

The watching figure grinned widely when he saw the impact.

"Just a little more chaos would've do! I see! You can actually use 'Ni' as a destructive force, but, yet again, it's such a drag! Sadly, I'll just have to watch without interfering."

He rolled a dandelion stem between his fingers—a flower without petals, lifeless, stripped bare.

"The course of action is already determined. I'll come back for you another day, Valtor."

Then, the figure leapt from the rooftop, his form briefly illuminated by the sunlight as he landed smoothly on one foot, shifting his balance onto the other.

His face was visible now.

The man who killed Burnwood.

"Knowing a concept of 'Ni' is nothing but shallow explanation," he muttered. "It holds no importance for the key of chaos."

He stretched out his hand, kicking out both legs as well.

"It's my duty to mold you into that key—the force of destruction this world needs. Now, I would be there to make sure it happens!."

Dark smoke swirled around him.

His form transformed, unnaturally changing as his adult body shrank down—into a young teenage boy.

An innocent looking one, with the widest smile a Devil had to offer.

"I'll see you at the Divine Academy," He said this while stretching out his hands to the wall, forming a portal, this he jumped in, concluding, "Chaos' little Monarch, Valtor!."
