Chapter 32 - Morally Screwed

As soon as the words fell, the overbearing aura of the ant fell on them, Zephyr took a step back due to the Aura but the rest of his group each resisted with their own Aether.

The ant had a savage look, along with it's outer membrane that looked dangerously close to metal, looking at it the feeling Zephyr got was like he was staring at a rock while looking for ways to defeat it, at least he could cleave it in half.

With a determined expression he pushed forward and was about to speak when Arden who was in front of him suddenly blurred leaving behind a few words.

Sanguis— Bone Cithadel

The figure of Arden appeared in the front of the ant, bones joting out of his body, his rib cages putruded out, his ankle knees and elbows all had Bone spears joting out of them.

He appeared in front of the ant and delivered a punch that created a splitting sound, the ant step-sided dodging the punch showing abnormal intelligence. The ant then swiped it's claw, aming at the back of the head of Arden— who flowed along with his previous momentum, moving forward and out of the range of the claws.

The ant moved to pursue it's prey, when suddenly it felt something heavy descend on it, halting it's movement as it struggled to move under the overwhelming pressure. Cealsen arrived at the side of the beast his spear already extended outward and into the body of the beast.

Clang.

The metal head of his spear hit the outer membrane of the ant and produced a clanging sound along with some sparks.

Cealsen pulled back as the claws of the ant swiped passed his head, the ant tightened the muscle at it's hind legs preparing to lung at it's prey when it felt a sharp kick at it tiny waist, Arden had took the liability of kicking at the waist of the ant upon himself.

The ant flew through the air and straight towards the direction of Zephyr, he turned to see that he was currently the only one in that direction.

Sometime along the way the two girls had abandoned him.

"Crap". He let out a curse seeing the hulking ant rapidly closing in his direction, fear took over his desire to fight as he moved back trying to create space between him and the rapidly closing ant. But the ant twisted it's body in the air and landed on it's feet, then lunged at the still airborne Zephyr.

Clang

The claw of the beast met the Scythe of Zephyr in a shower of sparks, they both landed on the floor, Zephyr boots caused deep groves in the soft earth as he desperately tried to slow down his momentum. Raising his head he could see the brown hulk barreling in his direction.

He took a deep breath as he readied his scythe in front of him abandoning any thoughts of running away. After nearing Zephyr the ant swiped at his head with a ferocity of a wounded beast Zephyr ducked— then something strange happened, a second after Zephyr ducked the claw of the ant swiped forward where Zephyr head had been a second ago the swipe missed his head by a beat. Zephyr was momentarily stunned, he had reacted to a punch that haven't been thrown yet. Only one thought came to his mind.

'my spatial sence'

His spatial sence had tracked the path the arm of the ant was going to follow and had warned him one second before impact. He was electric with joy but a battle field was not a place for emotions, he could sence space parting for something, he jumped back but the slight distraction was all that was needed for the calf of the ant to hit him on his chest, sending in forward in a blur.

Zephyr hurriedly stood up from the ground clenching his chest as he coughed out blood.

'Shit'. His chest was aching with pain, he felt space whisper in his ears again, and without thinking he dodged to the side as the ant crashed on his previous position aiming to crush Zephyr with his meaty body.

Zephyr faced the ant after taking a deep breath, he positioned the Scythe in front of him as he prepared to dodge the Ant to death. The ant suddenly moved to the side and a clanging sound rang out, Arden appeared behind the ant, arms outstretched with an irritated Expression on his face. The Ant wasn't really a problem for him as they were both in the same rank but Zephyr on the other hand was fighting with his life on the line.

He watched as Arden, cealsen and the ant traded a series of attack, eager to fight but not eager enough to actually participate, they gradually began to push back the ant, scratches pilled up on his outer membrane with one of Arden bones even managing to reveal flesh, but not enough to draw blood.

But everything went wrong in an instant.

Zephyr felt it first, but before he could voice out his concern the ant acted. From its back, ant legs sprouted out, Arden and cealsen was caught off guard as they both got impaled by the appendage, blood splashing out. Zephyr body moved on it's own, with a singular thought

'if the ant take them out am good as dead'.

he was a few feet near the ant before he realized what he was doing, before he realized he could get wounded heavly, but he didn't back down and with a determined expression he jumped up, twisted his body and landed a devestating kick on the thin neck of the ant, which he discerned as one of it's weak point.

The ant rocketed off into the opposite direction of Zephyr, Zephyr landed on the ground with a dignified expression, but his right leg with which he used to hit the neck of the beast was trembling and upon closer look one could see that the trembling leg didn't touch the ground, he leaned on his scythe and positioned his body in a way that the weight of his body rested on his left leg.

'shit! Shit!! Shit!!'.

The Ant stood up and from its furious eyes Zephyr could tell that try were morally screwed.

(I need fight inspirations, can anyone show me to a novel with good fight scene)
