The wind gently swept across the plain, carrying with it dry leaves and the scent of ancient earth. The sky, painted in shades of orange and pale blue, blanketed the land like a peaceful mantle. And there, standing among the withered trees, the figure waited.

Vidar stopped.

For a moment, he didn't know what to say. His heart — that of a warrior, a god, a man — beat powerfully in his chest. And then, he smiled.

— I always… always believed in you, — he whispered, walking toward that man with the serene face and infinite eyes. — Since before I was reborn, when I was just a mere human, my greatest wish was this… to have the honor of meeting you.

The figure nodded slowly, his expression filled with a peace that didn't belong to any known world. There was no judgment in his gaze, no fear, no superiority. Only understanding.

— I have been waiting for you, Vidar, — said the voice, soft as the rustle of leaves and, at the same time, as vast as the heavens.

Vidar stopped just a few steps away. He felt as if each word spoken by that being enveloped the very air, as if time itself had halted to witness the moment.

— I knew this meeting would happen one day, — God continued, his hands joined calmly before his chest, without any trace of ostentation. — I have watched every step you've taken, every decision, every battle within yourself… and I knew you would find your way here.

Without thinking, Vidar knelt. Not out of fear, but out of respect. It felt as if being in the presence of someone who didn't need thrones or armies to be revered.

— I always wanted to know if you existed. Not like those weak, tyrannical gods… but you, the true one. The one who understands the burden of those who carry the world in silence.

God smiled.

— I demand no blind faith, nor do I seek worship, — He replied, His voice filled with an ancient kindness. — I exist in every act of compassion, in every decision made with heart. My presence has never been in temples, but within those who suffer, those who fight, those who love without condition.

Vidar felt a weight lift from his chest, one he hadn't even noticed. It was as if that calm surrounded him, as if the entire universe had paused to honor that moment.

— Thank you… for receiving me, — he said with a genuine smile.

God stepped forward, placing a hand upon Vidar's shoulder, and everything around them seemed to glow with a warm, gentle light.

— There is still much to do, my son. And your journey has only just begun.

Vidar looked up, and for the first time in his long existence… he felt peace.
