Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Showcase

As the Generation Adidas Cup continued, it was clear that KJ wasn't the only one rising to the occasion. His brothers, too, were making their marks in their respective age groups.

Kareem, now playing with the U14 team, felt the same intensity. He had made the jump from U13 to U14 not long ago, and while the competition was tough, he was more than ready. Kareem had always been a player who let his feet do the talking. His soccer IQ was on another level, and he knew how to control the game without needing to show off. Every pass he made was measured, every touch calculated, and his vision was unmatched for someone his age.

In his game, Kareem picked out a pass that left everyone stunned. From midfield, he spotted the winger making a run down the left wing. With a single touch, he sliced through the defense, perfectly timing the pass and placing it right at the feet of his teammate. The winger had no trouble slotting it into the net, but the real magic was in Kareem's ability to read the game before it even happened.

Kyle, on the other hand, was having the time of his life. The U16 squad was up against one of the best academies in the country, but Kyle wasn't intimidated. He'd always had a way of making defenders look foolish with his insane balance and quickness. His first step was deadly, and he used that to devastating effect. He nutmegged one defender, then another, as he wove through the backline, leaving chaos in his wake.

In the 48th minute, Kyle got the ball at the edge of the box. With one quick feint to the right, he left his defender grasping for air before cutting inside and firing a powerful shot with his left foot. The keeper barely had time to react before the ball was in the back of the net. Kyle's celebration was subdued, as usual. A quick high-five to his teammates, then back to his position. There was no need to gloat. His play spoke for itself.

The tournament wasn't just about individual performances; it was a team effort. And as the brothers walked off the field at the end of their games, they exchanged glances that conveyed what they all knew: they had shown the world they were ready. But they also knew this was just one step of many. The road to becoming pros was still long, but they were on the right path.

By the end of the tournament, it wasn't just their performances on the field that had drawn attention. Scouts were talking. Agents were making calls. Their YouTube channel, 3KB, had gained thousands of new followers as fans from all over the world tuned in to watch their journey unfold. The three brothers had always believed in themselves, but seeing the recognition they were getting from the professional world was a validation of all their hard work.
