Chapter 52 - Volume 2 – Soulbound Reign

Prologue – Divided Seats, Shared Fate

The morning sun poured through the stained-glass windows of Faeloria Royal Academy, casting kaleidoscopic colors across the grand assembly hall. Crystalline chandeliers hummed with embedded magic, their glow illuminating the faces of the kingdom's noblest young heirs. Today marked the start of a new academic term—a crucible for legacy, ambition, and destiny.

At the front of the hall stood Headmaster Caelthorin Evercrest, his timeless elven visage carved with both wisdom and formality. "Today, by decree of the Crown and the Council, students will be placed according to their aptitude, lineage, and potential—divided not by favoritism, but by fate."

His voice echoed, commanding attention from every corner of the chamber.

Serenil Aetheryn, crown prince and wielder of the legendary Soul Gear Voidrender: Mugen no Kurayami, stood calmly amidst the assembly. Though young, his eyes held the weight of battles, vows, and secrets far beyond his years. He glanced discreetly to his left and right—where the five princesses who had become his future wives stood.

One by one, their names were called.

"Astarotte Sylvarien!"

The golden-haired succubus with emerald eyes gave Serenil a glance—cool and unreadable—before striding forward gracefully. "Class Diabolique," the Headmaster announced. A class specializing in dark affinity, forbidden magic, and diplomacy.

"Piglette Mariglen!"

The gentle orc girl stepped forward, her quiet aura softening the air around her. "Class Harmonia," for students with great spiritual balance, healing potential, and emotional resonance.

"Liselotte D'Armoire!"

The bubbly mermaid practically danced up the steps. "Class Elementaria," where gifted elemental users studied combat and nature magic.

"Roanna Briarwyn!"

With calm elegance, the crimson twin-tailed vampire approached. "Class Arcanum," dedicated to elite strategists, illusionists, and tacticians of magic. Her grin at Serenil was half-innocent, half-mischievous.

"Shuna Lysavelle!"

The refined ogre princess bowed slightly, her pink hair gleaming. "Class Valora," the warrior track—combat, blade, and honor.

And finally—

"Serenil Aetheryn!"

The hall grew still. All eyes turned toward the prince whose life had shifted the balance of nations.

"Class Imperium," the Headmaster said firmly. A class of rulers, heirs, and those destined to wield command over both battlefield and crown.

The silence held, then slowly gave way to murmurs. Even among nobles, to be placed in Imperium was rare.

As the six were led in different directions, Serenil watched each of them disappear into separate hallways, guided by cloaked mentors.

Though separated by classrooms, though set on different paths within the academy, Serenil knew—they were all bound together.

By vow.

By politics.

By growing affection.

And something deeper than any curriculum.

The game of kings and queens had begun anew. And within the walls of Faeloria's greatest institution, their bonds would be tested by more than politics or power.

They would be tested by the hearts they dared entrust to one another.
