Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"Creator of the tower? Coming back to life? Don't be ridiculous, idiot."

Danang raised his middle finger at the system, his expression full of irritation.

[You are rude, 'Hero'. But I'll let it slide. Want to know how this happened? Y/N]

Without thinking twice, still pale and fuming, Danang pressed 'Yes'.

A gacha-style jingle echoed around him, making Danang glance left and right in confusion.

[Information revealed: You have been chosen as a Hero in the game of the Gods and Goddesses. They are currently watching you.]

[You are required to climb the tower up to the 100th floor. As an additional note, you will respawn like in a game. Real-world time: 1 day = 100 years here. Good luck.]

Danang's eyes widened. His hands trembled.

"One day equals... a hundred years?" he muttered. "Bastards! Idiots! I'll kill those Gods!"

Three hours on Earth... that's 12.6 years here. Damn it!

He glared at the system.

"Idiot, can I meet any God or Goddess in this tower?!"

[Unfortunately, only Gods and Goddesses from the Demon ranks reside here.]

Danang froze. Demons? So… that three-headed dog was just one of their puppets?

"Tch."

He walked up to a booth labeled SHOP, but it was empty. When he touched the wall of the booth, a system screen appeared—full of weapons.

Item numbers lined up neatly like a grocery list.

"Short wooden sword... a thousand gold coins? Are you kidding me?!"

Danang kicked the booth wall.

Suddenly, the prices of several items changed to 'FREE' and the word 'ERROR' appeared.

"Huh? That just said... error?"

He tried kicking it again—and it happened once more! ERROR. FREE.

"Heh, just like those bugs in internet café games."

With his reflexes as a veteran gamer, he kicked and hit the 'FREE' button at the same time.

It worked.

A two-meter iron sword appeared. Heavy, but solid.

"I-it worked! HAHAHA! YES!"

For a moment, Danang forgot he was trapped in a sadistic game made by twisted Gods.

But the euphoria didn't last long.

"Wait… why am I happy?! This is a damn game made by perverted deities!"

His face darkened again. He sighed, gripped his new sword, and stepped toward the door of the first floor—the site of his first death.
